General Hospital: Lucky Spencer is a beloved character

Jonathan Jackson originated the role of Lucky Spencer on General Hospital in 1993 at the age of 11. He is the son of Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis) and when he left the ABC soap the role was recast first with Jacob Young and later Greg Vaughn. For many viewers, Jackson is the one and only Lucky and they would love to see him return. Jackson has said that his increasing workload on other projects did not allow him to come back to full time and that the powers that be would not allow him to be on a recurring basis.

General Hospital just killed off Lucky's father Luke Spencer in a fiery cable car accident offscreen in Austria and Tracy returned to alert Port Charles. Fans of the show have been saying they would like to see Jackson reprise his role and show up for his dad's final goodbye but this may not even be possible. The actor, who lives abroad has said he would be open to a return to the ABC soap but if that happens it's probably not going to be for Luke's sendoff.

General Hospital fans catch everything

Jackson shared a photo on Twitter on December 30 where he was standing beside his brother. The caption said he enjoyed being back in the States for the holidays. Around this same time, it was revealed that the scenes to memorialize Luke had already been taped. Nikolas Chaves who plays Spencer Cassadine had shared a photo with Tracy Quartermaine ( Jane Elliot) in the background on a boat. Eagle-eyed fans spotted what looked to be an urn in her hands and this sparked rumors that Lulu or Luke had died.

The majority of General Hospital viewers realized that Tracy would not be carrying Lulu's remains so the word began spreading that Anthony Geary's character had been killed off and now this has been confirmed. There is always a chance that Jackson taped a few episodes for GH while he was in the states and is keeping it quiet. It looks as if Tracy is on the Haunted Star the ship that Luke gave to Lulu and is going to throw her husband's ashes overboard but this has yet to be confirmed.

Lucky Spencer please come home

Whether or not Jackson was a part of these scenes will be revealed when they air and it is too late now if he were not available or was not asked to take part at the time. Lucky could always come back to Port Charles at a later date to deal with the death of his father but fans are hoping that somehow he will be on that boat with Tracy and others who loved Luke. Lucky was once a police detective s perhaps he will return to investigate his father's death. However, it works out a lot of General Hospital viewers just want Lucky to please come home. With Lulu in a coma, Laura could use her youngest son by her side during this difficult time.

Bobbie Spencer (Jackie Zeman) tearfully shared that she knew the cable car was sabotaged and that her brother was the target. She then lamented about all the innocent people who perished with Luke. Victor Cassadine has made some cryptic remarks that have led fans to suspect he had Luke murdered. A number of those who watch General Hospital are saying they believe this is not the end but only the beginning of a mystery that needs to be solved. Be on the lookout for General Hospital updates related to Luke and Lucky as they become available
