'Game of Thrones' Fans Are Sharing Fake Spoilers Across Twitter, And It's Brilliant
Fans of 'Game of Thrones' have taken the fight against unwanted surprises to Twitter by sharing their own hilarious spoilers.
When it comes to content leaks, HBO seems to have suffered quite a few major blows over the course of the summer. Hackers have recently made their employee data public and shared an early release of Game of Thrones episodes, along with several other popular HBO series. With all these leaks come the inevitable spoilers which many loyal fans try their best to avoid, but when Reddit, Twitter and YouTube become hotbeds of spoilers its nearly impossible to miss them all.
So, with so many spoilers across the internet, fans of the series have taken the fight against unwanted surprises to Twitter by sharing their own hilarious spoilers for the show under the hashtag #FakeGameofThronesSpoilers. Here are some of the best so far.
Saturday Wight Fever!
Everyone loves a good dance-off, right? Or maybe I should just stop watching Step Up and thinking that it's real life. Either way, it'd be great to see how #JonSnow and his new all-star team fair against the Night King and his impressive dance moves.
It was all an elaborate ruse.
I live in Michigan, so I could totally see that being a legitimate possibility. Funnily enough, the idea that Game of Thrones is a renaissance festival was also the concept behind an amazing Bad Lip Reading video on YouTube.
How the Grinch took Winterfell.
The Night King certain has a cold heart, so I guess there's a chance this could happen. After all, it looks like Whoville are having a long winter of their own.
The Girl with the Dragon...Sigil?
Daniel Craig makes just about everything better, so why not Westeros? I'd be okay with, and it'd be a good excuse for Dany to get a new tattoo!
Chuck Norris saves the day.
Because of course he would!
So, there you have it, a selection of gloriously elaborate spoilers to help overshadow the truth that would inevitably ruin your viewing experience. Of course, this isn't a solution to the problem, but it does make the situation fans have faced over the last fortnight a little more fun.
The series of highly entertaining tweets don't necessarily make the anguish of stumbling upon spoilers any easier, but they have helped to drown out some of the chatter about the final few episodes of Game of Thrones Season 7.
