Gaanth Chapter 1: Jamnaa Paar Review

While inspired by real incidents, Gaanth is based on the Burari case that came to light in Delhi in 2018. The story follows a police officer who is suspended temporarily, but suddenly he gets a case where he learns that 11 people living in a family have been found hanging in their own house. To determine whether it is murder or suicide, watch this show.

Gaanth Chapter 1: Jamnaa Paar Review

Now friends, JioCinema is releasing all its contents aggressively. Recently, a new show by JioCinema has come called Gaanth, so should you give your precious time to this show or not? Let's find out.

There are eight episodes in this show, each episode around 40 minutes long.

Gaanth Web Series Review

Now, without taking up much of your time, if I review this show for you, I would just say that I am confused. It means that if I had not known this story earlier, I guess this show would have left a good impression on me.

But since I already know this story, Netflix has already come up with a documentary series on it called House of Secrets: The Burrari Deaths, which was no doubt a mind-blowing experience for me, but I did not enjoy watching the same story again.

Although this show is not bad, there was a complete focus on the story from the very first scene, and time has not been wasted at all by showing off-track things. An attempt has been made to keep the matter in a to-the-point manner. But despite this, the show gets boring in the middle portion.

I feel that this show should have been limited to six episodes instead of eight, and the episodes should also have been 30 minutes instead of 40 minutes so that the boredom factor, which is present now, could have been eliminated.

For a new audience, this show will prove to be an amazing crime mystery thriller, but for the audiences who have watched the docu-series "House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths" on Netflix or who have watched "Aakhri Sach" on Disney Plus Hotstar, the show "Gaanth" will seem ordinary.

First, the police character in this show is going to seem very routine to an audience like me. I mean, we have seen such characters many times; no attempt has been made to do anything new with such characters.

Actor Performance

Without a doubt, the actors have done a very good job. Manav Vij leads this show, and he is superb. He portrays the role of a police officer and has left his mark. Monika Pawar, who plays the role of Gudiya Singh in the popular Indian Web Series Jamtara, is also a part of the show Gaanth. Her work was undoubtedly good, but I could not digest her character. The rest of the actors have also done their work very well.

In terms of production value, it is decent, plus BGM is also good.

Let me tell you that season 2 of this show will also come. Yes, you heard it right; the story has not been concluded yet and the cliffhanger on which this show has ended, you will definitely wait for its season 2.

Conclusion

Now according to me, there was no need to take the story further, everything should have been wrapped up in this season itself, now the reason for this is that along with showing the real incident, the makers have also added a little fiction, hence this show is incomplete.

In short, it is better than this show that you watch the documentary series House of Secrets: The Burrari Deaths series on Netflix, in which the story is concluded in only three episodes, providing a thorough understanding of the tragic events that led to the deaths of 11 family members.

While the series doesn't contain adult content or nudity, it does feature very strong language. It is essential to note that this show is not for the faint of heart. The disturbing content can be quite challenging to process.
