In Stefano Labbia's thrilling graphic novel series Killer Loop's, there is one of the best character i met in a comic book, book, movie: Kanvas. This woman, also known with her real name, Emily Renner, takes center stage as a young girl thrown into the horrors of the criminal underworld. Emily's story is one of trauma, experimentation, and her eventual redemption.

Emily's story begins with her father's experiments on her DNA. He wanted to create the perfect child, free of defects and with a genius-level intellect. Unfortunately, Emily is bipolar and her father's experiments only exacerbate her condition. As a result, Emily's mother leaves the family, unable to handle the stress of raising a child with a mental illness.

Emily's father, a scientist, is approached by Pauraz, an obscure crime syndicate. They ask him to use his experiments to create the ultimate assassin. Emily's father initially refuses, but the Pauraz syndicate is persistent, and they eventually make him an offer he cannot refuse.

Emily is subjected to extreme measures to turn her into a killer. She is brainwashed and trained by the Pauraz syndicate to be completely obedient to them. Emily's new code name is Kanvas - her father was also a painter... -, and she is a part of the Distal, a team of killers who obey every command of Pauraz.

Emily regains her sense of self and realizes the abject horror of what the Pauraz syndicate is doing. The Distal has no scruples and acts only to serve the syndicate's dark agenda. Emily tries to do what she believes is right, even if that puts her at odds with her leaders.

Her bipolarism adds another layer of complexity to an already complex situation. Her brain chemistry is altered through experimentation, leaving her with even less control over her mind and actions. It takes an immense amount of strength for her to overcome this and try to do what is right.

Emily's relationship with her lover and partner in crime, Double T, is complicated by her mental illness. She pushes him away, even though he is open to having an open relationship with her. Double T is loyal to her, but their relationship goes up and down through her illness and her imprevedible actions.

Emily's struggle to do the right thing and break free from the Pauraz syndicate is a harrowing journey. She faces numerous challenges and obstacles, including her own mental illness, but she never gives up. She fights for herself and others, even if it means putting herself in harm's way.

Emily is an anti-hero who fight with her illness and her past everyday. So can we say she is... an hero? Despite her traumatic experiences and struggles, she never lets them define her entirely. She is determined to break free from the trauma of her past and create a better future for herself and those around her.

The graphic novel series Killer Loop's is an intense and thrilling ride, but it is Emily's story that is the most powerful. Her experiences are relatable to many, and her journey is one of hope and redemption. Labbia creates a dynamic and memorable character with Emily that readers won't soon forget.

Emily's courage and resilience make her a pillar for anyone facing adversity or trauma. Her journey from victim to hero is a testament to the power of the human spirit to overcome the most extreme of circumstances. Killer Loop's may be a graphic novel series, but the lessons it teaches are invaluable.
