Dr. Bridget returns on November 2 on 'The Bold and the Beautiful'

Bridget Returns

A familiar face will soon return to The Bold and the Beautiful just in time for November sweeps, Ashley Jones will reprise her role as the daughter of Eric Forrester and Brooke Logan. Jones has been portraying Dr. Bridget Forrester on show since 2004. She will return on Monday, November 2 but is not sure for how long. Initially, when the actress was first hired, she had only planned to remain in the role for two years. She later changed her mind saying “ why not” continue on the CBS daytime drama. Jones also did not want anyone else to portray Bridget. The actress later asked to be let out of her contract in December 2010 so she could focus on other projects. In October 2011, she returned to B&B in a non-contract capacity where she remained until early 2012.

Ashley Jones returned to B&B in May 2013 for four episodes. She was quoted as saying that she did not want to return to The Bold and the Beautiful only for weddings and funerals because Bridget was too cool for that. Ironically that’s just what happened as she showed up for Liam’s wedding to Hope then disappeared. Bridget was back on The Bold and the Beautiful from August 7 to 12. She returned in February 2016 while at the same time portraying a character named Parker on General Hospital. In August 2018, it was announced that Jones would reprise her B&B role. She returned on August 20, 21, 22, September 25 and December 25, of that year. In March 2020, Jones reprised the role for a three-day guest stint and now she will return on November 2.

Family Ties

Bridget has a turbulent relationship with her mother but they are attempting to bridge the gap. Viewers know that Brooke has a history of falling for men who are spoken for by the females in her family. She has continued to dilly dally with Dollar Bill who is married to Katie and has broken up their marriage more than once. Ridge even was married to both Brooke and Katie. New B&B fans might not know this but decades ago, Brooke also slept with Deacon Sharpe when he was married to Bridget and this is when she became pregnant and gave birth to his daughter Hope. This makes Hope and Bridget half-sisters because they share the same mother. Bridget could also be considered Hope's stepmom because she was married to her biological dad.

Ridge would be Bridget's stepfather because he is married to Brooke but also her brother since they share Eric as their father. Eric claims Ridge and have him the family name but he is actually not Ridge’s biological father. Eric’s late wife Stephanie had an affair with Massimo Marone. Bridget later married his son Nick Marone three times. So the doctor was married to her stepbrother’s half brother. Katie is Bridget's aunt because she is Brooke's sister but when she was married to Ridge this made the two women sisters in law. Donna also had a relationship with Eric, so Bridget's mother and her aunt both have been in relationships with her father. Rick Forrester is the son of Eric and Brooke which makes him Brodget’s only full brother.

Rick was married to Caroline who Is deceased and was the niece of Dollar Bill Spencer who at one time was married to Brooke. Caroline’s cousin Liam is married to Hope and this has a child with both her and Steffy Forrester. Bridgette is related through blood and marriage to all of these individuals and double related to quite a few. There are more connections that long time viewers can put together with what has been written. I guess the best way to view all of this is that the Forrester's, Spencer’s and Logans continue keep it all in the family.

Ashley Jones in other roles

Ashley Jones portrayed Meghan Dennison on The Young and the Restless from 1997to 2000 and again in 2001. She also had the role of Daphne in the HBO docudrama series True Blood. Jones has been in a number of Lifetime movies including A Teacher's Crime and Dead At 17 in 2008. In 2011 she had a role on House as well as in the movie Secrets from Her Past. In 2013 she was in the movie A Sister’s Revenge and the following year The Secret Sex Life of a Single Mom. In January 2016, Ashley Jones was cast as Parker on General Hospital as a love interest for Kristina Corinthians Davis. It was assumed that Parker was a man until Jones showed up on screen.

Fans of the actress will have to wait and see what her storyline will be once she returns to The Bold and the Beautiful. Spoilers for the next view weeks do not even mention Bridget. She will no doubt have input into her parents current situations. There are no weddings or funerals scheduled but a lot of drama is unfolding. Eric has kicked Quinn to the curb because she interfered in the marriage of Ridge and Brooke. Bridget will also get an earful from her mother about Shauna Fulton and get best friend. Perhaps this time around Bridget might do more than be a sounding board so stay tuned.
