‘General Hospital’ could bring Valentin and Anna together as a couple

Valentin Cassadine and Anna Devane have formed an interesting bond on General Hospital. They have shifted from being enemies to become allies of sorts. These two now trust and confide in each other. Some viewers believe that they will eventually end up together while others don’t see that possibility at all. The situation with Alex playing games and their mutual fondness for Peter keep them connected. This duo has decades of secrets between them and lately, they are always in each other’s orbit. On Friday, it was Valentin and not her fiance Finn who was with Ms. Devane when she realized that Peter is not her son.

This revelation might have been set in motion to soften the blow when the truth about Faison's bad seed is apprehended for his evil deeds. Valentin has been suggesting to Anna that she eliminate her twin before Alex gets rid of her first. All of this is going on behind Dr. Finn's back and he has no idea what his fiance is up to. He is currently dealing with the fact that he slept with his father's fiance the night before the wedding. Jackie married his dad anyway and their son Chase is Finn's half brother. Secrets between Anna and her intended will only lead to problems down the road.

Some General Hospital viewers are still hoping that Hayde Barnes will return to Port Charles and that Violet's parents will reunite. Others are holding out for Anna and Robert to eventually get back together. There are also fans who believe that Valentin's sins will come to light and Anna could not be with him when she finds out he killed Cassandra Pierce. if it's true that Helena Cassadine is alive, perhaps she will tell her son the truth about his father. It never made sense that Helena was Valentin's mother but allowed him to believe she was an evil stepmother. If he is not a Cassadine then who could his biological father be?

Helena was always obsessed with Luke Spencer, but the technology did not exist back in the day for her to steal his semen and impregnate herself. The mystery of Valentin's father has been put on the back burner while everyone helps Nina look for her daughter. Perhaps Anna will be the one to assist the ousted Cassadine in his quest to find the truth. No one knows whether Helena is actually alive or if Liesel Obrecht is playing mind games with Peter. This will be an intriguing storyline as we head into November sweeps. Valentin and Anna confiding in one another as Ms. Devane and Dr. Finn keep major secrets from each other is pretty huge.

General Hospital fans know that it's possible that Valentin's role in Cassandra's death may not be exposed for a long time, if ever. Should he have anything to do with Nina finding her real daughter, this could exonerate him. The entire dynamic of Nina with Jax, who pines for Carly, who loves Sonny is a ticking time bomb. Valentin could be there to pick up the pieces should Jax walk away, or by that time he may have given in to the feelings he has for Anna. The way the two of them continue to talk about Alex, it's also a possibility that the evil twin might show up in Port Charles.

Right now Anna and Valentin have a mutual understanding. It is being driven by their love for Peter and their loathing for Alex. This entire situation could explode at any moment from several different directions and this is why fans are invested. Valentin and Anna could be drawn closer as those around them fall apart. The quest to protect Peter and stop Alex in her tracks might rub Robert and Finn the wrong way should they find out. Obrecht's return and Mr. August being exposed for killing Drew Cane will be a game-changer.
