Desperate Housewives

The beginning of season 2 starts right where season 1 left off. Bree is grieving in isolation. Lynette is headed to work per her husband's request. Susan is in the hospital after the fallout with Zach and Mike. And Gabrielle throws John out of her house after he revealed to Carlos that he was the one that she was having an affair with. Oh and we have new neighbors on Wisteria lane. Not quite sure what the overall mystery for the season is going to be but we are starting off well with a very easy to follow timeline. I appreciate that we went straight from season 1 to season 2 with no time in between.

Rex’s mom comes into town as Bree is planning the funeral and this woman is unhinged. She kept his porn magazine that he hid under his mattress as a teenager. She is officially insane. She fully tries to take over the funeral planning. And she violently insults Bree, and Bree’s reaction is the best thing that's ever happened.

Gabrielle goes groveling to Carlos for some reason. Really not sure why, she should just abort the baby and leave both of them. She really is a special kind of stupid.

Susan finds out that Zach is Mike’s kid and honestly she handles it remarkably well.

Lynette’s husband is infuriating. He demands that he stay at home and she go back to work but on the day of her interview he “throws his back out” and she has to take the baby. If you are a stay at home parent then your pain is irrelevant, you still have to take care of your children. Lynette kills her fucking interview while taking care of her baby and proves, once again, that she is the only competent person in her house.

The new mystery for the season is definitely the new neighbors who seem to have a very weird relationship and have someone held captive in their basement. The assumption at this point is that the person in the basement is the younger guy's dad.

The new lady in the neighborhood goes to a therapist and tells him that her husband was abusive and as such killed her baby…now I really think that might be part of the story. If he was abusive that would explain why they have him in the basement but unless he killed a different baby, or the guy they are passing off as her son isn’t really, there was no fatal abuse.

Rex’s mom is pissing me the fuck off. She really called the insurance company and told them that Bree has a boyfriend and now this insurance investigator is acting like he’s a PI which is super not his job. My dude had a heart condition and died of a heart attack…its really open and shut here my dudes. When is this woman leaving? The funeral is over, go grieve your son at home. Bree kicking her out is amazing. Bree is really on fire this season.

Well the new neighbor's hostage escaped the basement and he attacked them. But as it was happening he really seemed nonverbal, the way that he was yelling just seemed very mentally stunted.

Lynette’s boss is pissing me off too. “This isn’t about your kids again is it?”...Now she has a point in the sense that people with kids are not actually special and don’t get to take off extra time just because you chose to pop out kids. Single, childless people don’t get to miss random work cause they feel like it, so you don’t either. However her delivery is terrible and she is extremely bitchy.

Bree takes a polygraph for this damn insurance company and it definitely proves that she didn’t kill Rex, however it does get her in trouble with her kids.

This news story about Chicago seemed to really freak out these new neighbors, like whatever crime they made an arrest for was actually committed by them. I am very intrigued by these new people. Like obviously all of these women have their own drama and issues. And obviously the first season centered around a murder and then there were a few more murders but something about having someone chained up in the basement just seems darker to me for some reason. This man’s name is Caleb and he killed someone named Melanie Foster. This seems to be some kind of makeshift punishment. I seem to have pegged it correctly in that this man clearly is mentally stunted. I think that this is the baby that was beaten by her abusive husband and it caused some developmental disabilities.

George needs to get got. He really gave Bree pills while she was drinking wine with full intentions of drugging and raping her. When does he die? Cause I am a very impatient person. He literally attacks her therapist and proposes only weeks after her husband dies. Her husband…who he killed.

I wonder what it is going to take for Bree to realize that her son is a sociopath…he really has issues and the reform camp does not seem to be helping. He really tries to blackmail her…see kids this is what happens when you let your children commit manslaughter and don’t turn them in.

Wow Gabby’s mom is a piece of work. She really let her daughter get raped and then blamed it on her 15 year old daughter…she is batshit crazy.

Tom is the worst husband in the history of the world and I need him to leap off a cliff. He demands she get a job and he be a stay at home dad so she does that. He then says he’s unhappy so he forces himself into her workspace under the condition that he be okay with her being the boss. Then when she actually acts as his boss he gets all fragile and starts acting like a weak ass bitch. Also all the way through this both of them having full time jobs thing she is still the default parent. Eating dinner with the baby in her lap, being the one who made dinner. Tom sucks and I hate him more than anyone else I’ve ever watched on TV.

Andrew Van De Kamp is an actual psychopath. But the whole Van De Kamp family is a little insane, so the second she starts to accept the fact that he is gay he seems to let up on his mom a little bit. But that’s really short lived because this child has a compulsion. He is truly a terrible little shit. And now the two little psycho siblings have teamed up.

I feel like I haven’t quite conveyed how much I hate Tom. Lanette finds out that on his business trips he’s been taking detours to Atlantic City and he is super cheating on. Looks like he has a whole other family and I am so devastated for Lanette. She is the only one of these women who truly has never done anything wrong. She is incredible and I am so sad for her.

Edie is also terrible. She burns Susan’s house down intentionally and leaves her and her 16 year old daughter homeless and because it was arson she isn’t getting the insurance money to rebuild her house. Edie is such a selfish horrible bitch and I also hope she is added to the bodycount of this show.

Poor Bree’s kids are actually terrible. She was a model wife and mother and none of her problems started until after her kids were old enough to know better and process things properly so they are in fact just sociopaths. They clearly got that from their father.

The Applewhites get arrested and we finally see what’s up with these neighbors. Now though their story was interesting to watch it didn't really have an impact on our established world. We really didn't spend enough time with them to care that they’re gone.

TOM SUCKS SO HARD. He is over here visiting his other child and he has the audacity to lie to Lanette. I want to hit Tom with a car. I want to be VERY clear in that hiding another child from her is not in any way better than cheating. I still want her to divorce him. Lanette deserves so much better than him. Also he basically forced her into having 4 kids and then was all shocked when being a stay at home parent was a lot of work, and I simply want to throw him off a cliff. Lanette is far too calm about this one night stand whore coming to stay with them without his child. Quite frankly she’s too calm about the idea of them both coming to stay with them. And this Nora chick is in fact horrible. She’s literally crazy, she moves herself to their town like a stalker.

We knew Carlos was horrible but sleeping with the maid who is also the surrogate for your child? Next level disgusting. Gabby agreed to have a child that she didn’t want because he wanted kids and he is sleeping with the surrogate.

I thought the dentist guys hit Mike because he had a thing for Susan but then he brought flowers to Bree and I am very confused.

My poor Lanette has been through a lot and my biggest hope for her is for her to divorce Tom. My poor Bree simply needs her children to not be crazy. Gabriel needs to get rid of Carlos. And Susan does not deserve all of the bad that has happened to her. My girl really needs a happy ending. Lot’s of shit went down this season, the mystery was the Applewhites and now they are gone so it does seem like we are keeping these mysteries to a single season. Apparently when it was airing it was accused of a second season slump, but I fully disagree. I think it was very consistent with the first season. There were small flaws with the writing of the Applewhites but other than that it was very good.
