Helena Cassadine is back on General Hospital

General Hospital is turning up the heat and the drama as they observe 6 decades on ABC. Viewers who have been saying they believed Helen Cassadine (Constance Towers) was still alive were correct as the actress has confirmed it's true. According to Soap Opera Network, the official Facebook Page of Towers indicates that she has already taped her brief scenes and will return to her role as the Casadine Matriarch on Friday, May 8. It's possible, however, that due to preemptions, her first episode could be delayed until at least Monday, May 8th.

This is exciting news for General Hospital fans and seems to put a few things in perspective regarding the Cassadines. Nikolas Casadine who was last portrayed by Adam Haus is alive and being cared for by Mason Gatlin (Nathanyeal Gray) who is the cousin of Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth). Some viewers have suspected that the "boss" that Mason reports to and Austin is running from might be Helena and now it looks like they could be correct. The biggest issue at this point is whether or not the Cassadine patriarch and his great-nephew are on their way to meet Helena.

Could Helena be holding Nikolas in her lair?

Some viewers have suggested that Prince Nikolas might really be in the hands of the grandmother that he allegedly killed by poisoning her to death in 2015. Helena returning from the dead suggests that someone saved her life or her grandson did not really give her poison. Did Nikolas know all along that his grandma was alive or will he be shocked to see her when he finally returns to the screen? General Hospital viewers have been waiting for the Mason and Austin mystery to be solved and perhaps now it might be.

It's possible that Helena has been working with her brother-in-law Victor all along and is in on his nefarious plans for the Ice Princess necklace. Victor may now be bringing her the heir to the Cassadine fortune -Spencer Cssadine ( Nikolas Chaves) and his brother Baby Ace. Victor tricked his great-nephew into coming aboard the Haunted Star and then set sail. Meanwhile, Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) found Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) knocked out and Ace missing so it's obvious Victor has him.

A lot can happen in two months

There are two more months before Helena Cassadine makes her next appearance on General Hospital and there will be a lot of chaos in Port Charles. Esme being knocked, out, Anna fighting for her life, and Ace and Spencer missing along with Victor will set the town in a panic. It will not take long until someone outs two and two together and figures out the Haunted Star is no longer docked in the Port Charles harbor.

Will Nikolas return at this time and if so who will portray the character? If Victor and Helena are working together could Uncle Vic go rogue and try to outsmart her? What will Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) think when her sweetie goes missing and will anyone wrongly accuse Spencer of being the mastermind or will they realize right away he has been kidnaped? GH fans love Shaughnessy as VIctor and don't want the actor to leave but his character's reign of terror must come to an end. Victor shot the twin sister of Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), threw Eileen Ashby (Mover a bridge and shot Anna Devane ( right in front of Valentin Cassadine James Patrick Stewart and he must pay for his crimes.

There are going to be some exciting episodes coming up as General Hospital celebrates 60 years on ABC and prepares for the return of Constance Towers as Helena Cassadine so stay tuned.
