'Arrow' Season 7 - Trailer Review
Arrow is about to hit us with its seventh season. It is, to me, a surprise that the show didn’t end with the flashback storyline, but here we are.
Christopher HalesPublished 6 years ago in Geeks Will Aquaman Be the Worlds of DC’s Black Panther?
In the trailer for Warner Bros.' and James Wan’s Worlds of DC movie Aquaman, fans noticed some similarities to Marvel Studios' and Ryan Coogler’s MCU movie Black Panther. With similar imagery, themes, and villainess motivations, it’s not hard to draw comparisons between the two films. Both movies feature superheroes who would be kings, advanced civilizations, and family members who seek to take control of said civilizations and use their resources to wage war on the rest of the word.

Though Shazam is not one of the most well known heroes in the world, he’s now making quite a name for himself! San Diego Comic-Con gave us our first look at Zachary Levi and Asher Angel’s version of Billy Batson’s kid turned superhero. So, without further ado, let’s pick it apart...
Christopher HalesPublished 6 years ago in Geeks10 DC Comics Properties That Warner Bros. Can Save the DCEU With
The DC Extended Universe is a sinking ship. Warner Bros.’ answer to Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is not living up to the tremendous potential it had. They’ve given the world a depressed and dour Superman, a murderous Batman, and a Justice League that feels rushed. Aside from Wonder Woman, the five DCEU movies released so far are objectively disappointing, both financially and critically. However, I believe that with a few tonal shifts, the right writers, the right directors, and these incredible properties, Warner Bros. could save their Great DCEU Experiment and make their game of catch-up with the MCU a bit more neck-and-neck.
Zack KrafsigPublished 6 years ago in GeeksIs a Joker Origin Movie (Why So) Seriously Necessary?
With the recent casting of Joaquin Phoenix (Gladiator, Her) as infamous comic book villain the Joker, speculation has once again abounded from all corners of the internet and comic fandom. While no stranger to playing the bad guy as with Commodus in Ridley Scott's swords-and-sandals 2000 epic, this role is very different to much of what Phoenix has done before. That can be said with anyone who has taken this part before, to be fair, but it is still a daunting task with the power to make or break a reputation.
Scott AlexanderPublished 6 years ago in Geeks'Arrow' Season 7 Speculation: How Long Will the Series Keep Oliver Queen in Prison?
When Arrow wrapped its sixth season in May, Oliver Queen was headed to prison at The Slab, which is a metahuman prison. It supposedly got its name from being so impenetrable that the only way prisoners could leave was "on a slab." Of course, there have been myriad speculations that Oliver would figure out a way to escape, and that isn't all of the rumors that have been swirling since the screen faded to black.

The third installment of the Flash War gave us some pretty big insight into Barry Allen and Wally West's current relationship, how it's changed from their relationship in the past, and some really surprising information about the Speed Force. If you are a new comic reader and are unfamiliar with some of the information I cover in this post, I will explain all of this information in-depth later on in other posts.
Just a guyPublished 6 years ago in GeeksCosplayer Spotlight: Matches Malone
In the almost four years being a cosplayer, I've met some of the most generous cosplayers, online and in person. Whenever I see someone devoting their time to volunteer or visit ill children at a hospital, it really puts a smile on my face. I want to introduce everyone to Matches Malone and by the time you have finished reading my interview with him, it's going to show you that superheroes can be charitable.
Mark Wesley PritchardPublished 6 years ago in Geeks'Wonder Woman'
For me, the most appealing part of superheroes since I was a kid is that wish-fulfillment factor. It’s that idea that superheroes, with all their great strength, speed, and agility, are able to make the world a better place, and you can always depend on them to make the right choices. For children and adults, they have remained a reflection of our greater selves and an inspiration. As a young boy, there was no stronger image for me in movies than watching Christopher Reeve’s Superman fly up and save Margot Kidder’s Lois Lane from falling out of a helicopter. It filled me with that ideal that anything was possible, and it was always good to see someone do the right thing.
Jeremy RobinsonPublished 6 years ago in GeeksTop 10 Actors to Play the New Joker
The Joker is an extremely complex character and takes a high level of acting to play accurately, and with Martin Scorceses' upcoming film, the question being asked is who is next to take the throne as the clown prince of crime? Here is a list of some of Hollywood's best actors to play as the Joker.

1. 'Batman Returns' Artists: Tracer67 and BurtonGotham I love the aesthetic. Gotham looks so...Gothic! Michelle Pfeiffer does a wonderful job as Catwoman. She creeps me out ... but then again ... isn't she supposed to?
Who is James Hudson Jr?
For those of you who don't know, the Marvel Universe has countless alternate realities. Well, it did up until an event called Secret Wars, and I'm not really going to go into that, but it was a huge event that led to the end of the multiverse (or so we thought). Among these infinite worlds was the main Marvel Universe (Earth 616). Earth 616 is essentially where most comics that Marvel publishes will take place. But in the 2000s, I believe Marvel Comics wanted to start a new line of comics that were centered mostly around the real world, or a world as similar to ours as they could get while making superpowers a possible thing. The Ultimate universe (Earth 1610) was similar to the main Marvel Universe, but just that certain things were different. For example, Earth-616 Spider-Man is Peter Parker, but in Earth 1610, Spider-Man is Miles Morales (the Ultimate Peter Parker died). So the Ultimate universe's Wolverine was very similar to The Wolverine, but he too was killed off, and his son, James Hudson Jr., took his place as Wolverine.
