Charlotte Flair: Have wedding bells already rung?

WWE six-time women's champion Charlotte Flair began dating Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) champ Manuel Alfonso Andrade Orpezo early in 2019. Orpezo who goes by the ring name Andrade El Idolo joined the WWE under the ring name Andrade "Cien" Almas, and won the NXT Championship. He joined WWE's main roster in April 2018 and his ring name was shorted to "Andrade. He held the WWE United States Championship for several months from 2019-2020 and he departed WWE in March 2021.

Orpezo asked Charlotte to marry him on New Year's Eve 2020, and she said yes. Rumors began flying in 2021 that the couple split because Andrade was no longer following Queen Charlotte on social media although she was still following him. Now the tide has turned and many fans are wondering if a wedding has already taken place? Neither Flair nor Orpezo has addressed whether or not they are already legally wed and they do not have to divulge personal details to their adoring public. In these days of the World Wide Web, however, everything you post or even attempt to keep private may become a topic of conversation.

Celebrities' every social media move is critiqued

Celebrity watchers notice everything on social media and put their own spin on what they see and even what they don't. Sometimes the followers of entertainers are spot-on in their assessment of situations. In December of 2021 fans of the ABC daytime drama, General Hospital began posting that Chad Duell who portrays Michael Corinthos on the soap had split from his wife of less than two months and it was true.

On Halloween, Duell had married Courtney Hope who plays Sally Spectra on the CBS soap The Young and the Restless. In December, soap fans noticed the couple had removed each other's photos from their social media accounts and suggested a split. A few days later, articles were all over the Internet reporting that Chad Duell confirmed the breakup. Wrestling fans, however, were not correct in assuming Charlotte and Andrade were no longer together.

Charlotte confirms a June wedding to Andrade

In February, Flair acknowledged that she and Andrade were still together in spite of breakup rumors. The duo was recently spotted side by side during the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022. In addition, Charlotte has admitted that a June wedding will take place in Mexico and she already has her dress. She added that her husband to be will be working on himself, his mastery of the English language, and how his goal had always been working in the WWE.

Andrade, like Charlotte, has wrestling in his blood. He is a third-Generation professional wrestler, who made his debut just one month prior to his 14th birthday. He was billed as Brillante Jr.in honor of his father who wrestled as Brillante. As La Sombra, he spent eight years wrestling for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) where he won the 2007 Torneo Gran Alternativa tournament and the 2011 Universal Championship. He simultaneously held the Mexican National Trios Championship, NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship, and CMLL World Tag Team Championship.

It's not clear where the rumors that the couple is already married came from and they possibly could be true. Andrade and Charlotte may already have held a private ceremony and will do a formal wedding in Mexico in June. There is also the probability that the rumors are false and the summer nuptials will be the only ones. June is only a few months away so be on the lookout for wedding updates.
