Carson Boatman: His DOOL character is about to have a devil of a time

Carson Boatman is an actor, singer, and producer, who was born on February 19, 1994. On July 23, 2021, he wed longtime girlfriend Julana Dizon who is a model. Boatman told PEOPLE Magazine that he couldn't be happier and that tying the knot was the highlight of a tough year. The entertainer has been portraying Johnny DiMera on Days of Our Lives since August 18, 2021, after the character was SORAS.

During the past year, Boatman has made the role his own and fans seem to enjoy his comical spin on the character. Boatman also had roles in Devilish Charm (2014), Runt and Stalked by my Doctor (2015), and Bedeviled (2016) which may have prepared him for his current role. Johnny began writing a screenplay about the possession of his grandmother Marlena Evans Black (Deidra Hall) that took place 25 years ago and had to scrap it because the devil returned to possess Marlena a second time.

Things got pretty intense in Salem but an exorcism performed by Father Eric Brady (Greg Vaughn) brought Marlena back in a Christmas miracle. Viewers who thought this storyline was over found out they were wrong on New Year's Eve when it was revealed that Marlena's grandson is now being controlled by the evil one.

Days of Our Lives: Trouble in paradise

Spoilers have said that Johnny's marriage to Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) would take a major hit at the beginning of 2022 and some fans thought it would be the result of Chanel and Ally Horton ( Lindsay Arnold) who once kissed, admitting they still had feelings for one another. This latest twist with Johnny being possessed is probably what will cause drama for the newlyweds. Chanel and her mother Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) are going to go ballistic when they find out that Satan has taken over Johnny and Chanel has been sleeping with the devil literally. This will make for some humorous scenes in Salem.

Days of Our Lives viewers were happy to see Marlena set free from the power of darkness and now are expressing disappointment that the storyline is not over. Earlier spoilers had teased that this plot might go on until Easter as it did during the first possession of Marlena, to the dismay of many viewers. It's not clear if Johnny will continue with the plan to take Ciara Weston's unborn child but this is probably still the agenda.

Days of Our Lives: The DiMera mansion is filled with chaos

Things are about to heat up in the DiMera household as Lucas has framed EJ for kidnapping Sami, Chanel has moved in and Tony DiMera (Thao Penghalis) and Anna DiMera (Leanne Hunley)are returning soon. There is also the fact that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) helped Lucas frame his older brother so he could run the family business. No one can replace the great Joseph Moscala as Stefano DiMera but his offspring and grandchildren are turning out not to fall too far from the family tree.

Johnny Dimera and Ally Horton are unique twins

Johnny and his twin Ally are a unique set of twins, to say the least. They have two different fathers because Sami slept with Lucas Roberts Horton (Brian Datillo) and EJ DiMera (then James Scott) near the same time. Lumi was in love but Elvis was obsessed with Sami and would only save Lucas from a beam that fell on him at a cabin after Samantha went to bed with him. The duo also both have feelings for Chanel which might still cause problems in the future.
