Brytni Sarpy is in high demand

The beautiful Britni Sarpy arrived in the world of daytime drama portraying a relation of one of the most beloved soap families. She was the niece of Luke Spencer and cousin of Carly Corinthos on General Hospital. Her character Valerie Spencer was the daughter of Luke and Bobbi Spencer's sister. Valerie joined the police force and later had an affair with cousin Lulu's husband Dante. She became good friends with Sonny's daughter Kristina Davis then for whatever reason, Valerie disappeared from the screen. She was sporatically on camera a few more times and once shared a kiss with Kristina.

Viewers thought perhaps the two were going to embark on a relationship but General Hospital completely stopped giving Sarpy air time. The character was later recast but viewers did not like the new Valeri and she disappeared without a word. NBC's loss, however, is a big gain for CBS and The Young and the Restless who hired the actress, giving her the contract role of Elena Dawson. Her new character is dating billionaire Devon Hamilton and the bonus is that Sarpy and Bryton James who portrays Devon are also dating in real-time.

Unlike Valerie who was often on the backburner, Elena has been front and center in Genoa City. In addition to dating one of the wealthiest men in town, she is also working to become a doctor. Spoilers have teased that Ms. Dawson might become involved with Dr. Nate Hastings who is related to Devon through marriage. Sarpy can also be seen on Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots that airs on OWN, Tuesday nights at 9:00 PM EST. The actress has also been featured in a commercial for Lays potato chips. it looks like leaving General Hospital was the right move and Brityni Sarpy's star is shinning petty bright these days.
