Billy Miller and Josh Morrow roughing it during coronavirus

The coronavirus continues to have a domino effect on all of us and soap opera actors are no different. Joshua Morrow and Billy Miller are two popular daytime drama actors who were brothers in law on The Young and the Restless. Miller later joined the cast of General Hospital. Both men recently posted images on social media that indicate they are roughing it just like regular folk. Each man has grown a beard and obviously have not had a hair cut while sheltering in place. The Young and the Restless is on hiatus after running out of new episodes. Morrow who portrays Nick Newman has no idea when he will go back to work. His character Nick is in the middle of several front burner storylines that hopefully will be resolved when new episodes air.

Nick recently was the interim CEO for Newman Enterprises which surprised bieeets because he said he did not want to be a part of the family business. He also hooked up with Phyllis again, which shocked both family and friends.. Neithet the viewers nor anyone in Genoa City believes the relationship will last. Josh Morrow has even said in interviews that he does not like the “Phick” pairing. Nick is giving moral support to ex wife Sharon who is battling breast cancer and he continues to be at odds with half brother Adam. Doap Dirh recently suggested that Nick might end up with Chelsea again but it does not look like that wil happen anytime soon.

Billy Miller was a fan favorite when he portrayed Billy Abbott on Y&R but left the CBS daytime drama which troubled his fans. Miller’s version of the character married Victoria Newman while they were drunk on an island. He left Y&R and began portraying Jason Morgan on General Hospital. This character was later changed to Jason’s twin brother Andrew Cain. During the hiatus The Young and the Restlesd has been airing classic episodes. During the week of April 27 through May 1, Miller’s Billy Abbott was shown and social media began buzzing. In Facebook groups new viewers were asking about Miller and his character’s relationship with Chloe Mitchell. Longtime fans brought everyone up to speed.

Now rumors are flying once more that perhaps Miller will return to the role he once had. Such rumors have been off and on since 2019. When Miller was abruptly written out of General Hospital, spoilers pointed out that January 2020 would be six months since he was on the ABC daytime drama and was the time frame, based on his contract when he could join another show. Some spoiler alerts suggested he would take over the role of Billy Abbott from Jason Thompson at the beginning of the year, but that did not happen. Now, Soap Dirt is suggesting that fans think Miller’s recent tweet about Jeannie Cooper snd his being shown on The Young and the Restless are signs that he might return.

Adding fuel to the fire are the persistent rumors that Jason Thompson is on his way out as Billy Abbott. Currently Jill’s son is working with Lily Ashby for the new media division of Chancellor Industries. Ironically it was Miller’s version of the character who had a brief affair with Lily. Spoiler alerts have been teasing that the two might hook up again. Whatever is coming, fans of both General Hospital and The Young and the Restless are hoping to see Miller on screen once again. The response ftom fans, to Miller and Joshua Morrow’s more rugged look has been overwhelmingly positive. Even so, it will be great to see both men back in action on television once more.

General Hosputal viewers continue to express anger at the way Billy Miller was shoved aside after Steve Burton returned and the way he was abruptly written out of the show. His cast mate Kelly Monoco complained on social media and fans and believe his character deserves closure. Right now Liesl Obrecht is in jail for Drew Cane’s murder and a Robert Scorpio is trying to prove it was Peter August, Fans of The Young and the Restless want to see Nick Newman in a lasting relationship and hope he will not bounce back and forth between Chelsea, Phyllis, and Sharon.
