What's going on with Anna on GH?

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) used to be a spy who had a level head and thought things through. Lately, on General Hospital, something has changed; Her Spidy senses are not on point, and she is making bad decisions.

Anna has yet to learn that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is the man behind Pikeman, who has been targeting Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Valentin has also gone as far as to pay off a pharmacist to lower the dosage of Sonny's bipolar medication. Anna has confidently shared a few things with her former lover, unaware he is the enemy.

Anna is playing hardball with Molly

Last week, Anna made a move that caused General Hospital viewers to question her judgment. She was rude and condescending as she tried to force Molly Lancing Davis ( Kristen Vaganos) to prosecute Sonny. Anna mentioned her own conflict of interest, but things run much more profoundly with Molly.

Sonny is the father of Molly's sister, Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi), and the brother of Molly's father, Rick Lancing (Rick Hearst). There is also the fact that Kristina is carrying a baby for her sister and TJ Ashford ( Taj Bellow). The assistant DA pointed all of this out after Anna showed her the signed confessions of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), implicating Corinthos in crimes against them.

Anna would not listen to reason

Molly pointed out that there were four other assistant DAs and said Anna should give the case to one of them or Port Charles DA Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). Anna said Robert would be too eager to prosecute, and this would be personal for him against Sonny. She insisted that Molly take the case, and it's unclear why Ms. Devane is unreasonable.

She has allowed Sonny a free pass for decades but now, his true colors are showing. No one realizes that the coffee importer's meds have been tampered with, and he is not obtaining the correct dosage. What is being noticed is that he beat Renault within an inch of his life with his bare hands while they were inside of a church. He also ordered Dex to kill Cyrus.

Still, asking his niece/stepdaughter to do her dirty work is unlike the Anna viewers have known over the decades. If Molly complies. this could stress Kristina, come between the siblings, and cause harm to the unborn child.

The truth may cause Anna to open her eyes

Sadly, Anna will be in for a rude awakening when certain truth finally comes out that Sonny was not on the right medication dosage and she may feel guilty for pushing so hard to prosecute him. She will also be shocked to find out her ex is the head of Pikeman, and she may have to deal with prosecuting Valentin.

The police commissioner has not been herself since she shot Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlet Fernandez), and her guilt has been weighing on her. General Hospital fans have wondered why Fernandez was brought back only to leave again in the middle of a powerful storyline. There has been no closure with the issue of her being influenced by her grandfather, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), from the grave.

Anna is deeply disappointed in herself that she reacted and shot a child, although the shooting was justified. Commissioner Devane has been second-guessing herself ever since, and now her judgment is being questioned. Keep tuning in to general Hospital to find out how Anna's decision may come back to bite her.

Last week at General Hospital, Joslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) told the Comish that she had made a wrong decision by suggesting that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) become a police officer. Joss said Sonny is out of control and will not hesitate to kill him. Dex, working for the PCPD, was supposed to keep him breathing because Sonny would not kill a law enforcement officer.
