Chakan one of the darkest games on Sega Genesis video review

Chakan is one of the darkest and most sinister games ever made on the Sega Genesis system. It’s kind of a rare game that not many people now about. What makes it cool, is that is was based on a real comic book from the 90s. But I never got to play until more recent years.

The game has such creepy art as well as creepy music. You really do feel as if you have just entered a dark realm as you press the start button. Even though I love the art and music on this game the levels could use some work. And I will get into that here in a minute.

One thing you should know about this game, is that the levels are really hard. You have to get really good at jumping. And also there is not clear path of where to go in the game. It’s not very easy to defeat either. On the first level you have to duck just to fight small enemies who crawl. They look like tiny spiders.

But I guess the game is supposed to be a challenge. You have to play a level over and over just go get farther. I mean I played some levels many times and was not able to beat them. It’s hard to make the perfect jumps and it’s also hard to not die from so many enemies re spawning.

For this reason I wish they could make a Chakan remake with better graphics as well easier game play. I think that this would make the video game must more enjoyable for new players.

But I think super pro gamers will probably be able to beat this game even as hard as it is. You just have to put in the time to play levels many times until you are able to beat them. It can be worth is as the game is fun. But like I said it’s just really hard.

Overall the creepy mystical Realm in the game really does make you feel like you are trapped in some hellish and magical dimension. They did a good job of taking you into another world. Sega has always been known for these darker and creepy games. And Chakan is one of the dark games you can play on Halloween.

If you think you have what it takes then try to beat this very hard Sega game Chakan. This is one of the hardest games ever on Sega. So anyone who is able to beat it is probably a master gamer.

One thing that stands out about the game is the dark music is really does give off this dark vibe and provides the atmosphere to really make you think you are in the nether world. The sound effects are also mixed very loud and go along with the music just perfectly.

I tried to at least beat one level after trying to beat them all. But I was not able to beat them. They are really that hard. I did get a bit father on a few levels. And I must say this is probably the hardest game I have ever played on Sega.

So if you are looking for a really scary game to play this Halloween season on Sega. Then make it Chakan his back story is also scary! He is the greatest warrior ever. He is so good he even challenges death and beats him. From there he got Eternal Life. But it was also a curse so now. He has to beat all evil in the magic realms to be able to reverse the curse. Truly a dark and scary story indeed.
