The video game industry is getting more and more popular every year. As a result, there are many games being made into tv shows. Some are successful while others are not.

10. The Legend of Zelda

In the year 1989, an animated tv series was developed based on the Japanese video game The Legend of Zelda and with few references to Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. The video game was on the Nintendo platform. An amazing tv show that follows the adventures of Link and Princess Zelda.

9. Earthworm Jim

This series started in 1995 and lasted for two seasons. It is based on a video game with the same name. It was entertaining with clever and creative jokes. The story starts with a spacesuit falling on Jim and it changes him into a brave earthworm. Then, the comic revolves around the plan to rescue Princess “What's-Her-Name” from her evil sister. During its runtime, Earthworm Jim had enormous popularity especially for its fun-filled contest at the end.

8. Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures

Everyone has played this game called Pac-Man, if not, at least heard about it. In 2013, Namco's classic video game character Pac-Man came into tv-show and ran for 3 seasons. It is still available to enjoy on Netflix. In short, the story is about Pac-Man and his friends trying to protect Pac-World from evil spirits that are trying to take over their planet. Pac-Man fan from all-over-world will love this series.

7. Fate/Stay Night – Unlimited Blade Works

The adaptation of the game into anime series in the case of the Unlimited Blade Works series is phenomenal and the most well-received among the audience. The story is about a high school student who gets pulled into a war called the Holy Grail War. This war is a death match between seven magi and their “Servants” who are in a quest to find an artifact that can grant them whatever they wish and desire.

6. Angry Birds Toons

Their journey started as a video game in the smartphone world, now they are a well-known app on everyone’s devices. They came to the cartoon universe to give a backstory to all the individual characters like Red, Matilda, Bomb, and Chuck. Each toon is a few minutes long. In addition, they show how the bird protects or retrieves their eggs from the noxious pigs. Overall, a wonderful show for the angry birds’ lovers.

5. Mega Man NT Warrior

One of the most successful characters of the Capcom game world. The same success translated in the tv world with an astonishing 209 episodes. The story of Megaman concerns two scientists who were building robot assistants to help humans in their work. However, one scientist programmed the robots as fighting machines to help him take over the world. The other scientists release his devious plan and soon reprogram his robot to stop the wicked scientist’s plans. This robot was named Megaman and the series highlighted his adventurous journey.

4. The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!

In 1989, this amazing tv show was started, which was a combination of live-action segments starring WWE Hall of Famer Capt. Lou Albano as Mario and Danny Wells as Luigi alongside a special guest and an animated story of Super Mario Bros. The most mesmerizing part was seeing the world-famous wrestler Lou Albano singing and dancing as “Mario”, the poster boy of Nintendo.

3. Castlevania

An amazing and intriguing tv show from the Netflix original series which is perfect for binge-watching. The series is full of rich visual arts. The voice acting is astounding and adds life to the story. The story is about a young individual who is a survivor from the Belmont clan named Trevor Belmont. His job is to save the world from Dracula and his allies who are all set to put an end to humanity. A total of three seasons of pure joy and happiness.

2. Halo 4: Forward unto Dawn

This is a military sci-fi web series set in the distant future in the Halo universe. Forward Unto Dawn consists of five 15-minute episodes and it is available on Netflix. This is a fascinating, adventurous, thrilling, and action-filled tv show. Astounding special effects that have impressed many people. This tv series has won many awards like the 3rd Streamy Awards, MPSE Golden Reel Awards, Visual Effects Society Awards, and 65th Primetime Emmy Awards. The story is set in the 26th century, where the cadet, Thomas Lasky, is at a military training academy that got attacked by the Covenant, a religious alliance of aliens. Lasky and his fellow squad mates were saved by the Master Chief. After the death of his girlfriend, Chyler Silva, Lasky is encouraged by the Chief to take initiative and help him in saving the remaining cadets.

1. Pokémon

Now, with over 900 episodes and 18 feature-length movies, Pokémon has become the video game-based TV show that all others aspire to. Running for more than two decades, this extraordinary TV show is the hallmark of all video game-based TV shows. In 1997, in the very first episode, we're introduced to Ash Ketchum who was a boastful and ignorant rookie trainer, and his Pikachu. However, as the series develops, Ash matures from the troubled trainer to a more competent trainer with the main goal to catch all the Pokémon in his tiny balls called Poke balls. The most famous slogan of the series, “Catch them all”. This is an Evergreen show that will last for generations to come.
