Once upon a time, in the vibrant city of Boston, Massachusetts, a remarkable individual came into the world. His name was William James Siddis, and he was born in 1898 to Boris, a renowned psychologist, and Sarah, a doctor. It didn't take long for his parents to realize that their son was no ordinary child.

In an astonishing display of precociousness, William was found writing a letter before he even reached his first birthday. And as if that weren't extraordinary enough, his parents caught him diligently reading the New York Times, comprehending every word, all before the age of two. It was clear to them that their little boy possessed an exceptional intellect.

Determined to nurture their son's unique gifts, William's parents invested their family savings into acquiring books, maps, textbooks, and dictionaries, eager to support his insatiable thirst for knowledge. By the time William turned four, he was already delving into the literature of Homer in its original form, and by six, he had delved into the works of Aristotle.

At the tender age of six, he even managed to complete his fourth book, which included an impressive treatise on anatomy. By the time he was eight, William could fluently speak and write in English, Latin, French, Russian, Hebrew, Turkish, and Armenian. Yet, his hunger for knowledge remained insatiable, leading him to create his very own unique language.

Naturally, his parents were astounded by their son's extraordinary abilities. They soon realized that a conventional education was insufficient for someone as gifted as William. His brilliance surpassed that of both teachers and fellow students. At just nine years old, he effortlessly passed all the exams required to enter Harvard University.

Unfortunately, the prestigious institution refused to admit him at such a young age. Undeterred, William continued attending his old school for the next two years, growing increasingly bored. However, he channeled his restless intellect into writing more books. He completed a novel, composed poems in French, and even drafted a constitution for a fantastical utopia. This marked William as exceptional among prodigies, as he excelled in various fields of knowledge, including mathematics, astronomy, languages, politics, biology, philosophy, and much more.

Finally, at the age of eleven, William's persistence paid off, and he was granted admission to Harvard. Students and professors alike were awestruck by the sight of such a young scholar, but it was his depth of knowledge that truly amazed them. While some admired him, others considered him an oddity.

Undeterred by the challenges that came with his age, William thrived at Harvard, effortlessly acing exams and even delivering lectures at the math club. His chosen topic? The intricacies of four-dimensional bodies, one of the most demanding subjects in mathematics. Astonishingly, not only did students attend his lectures, but around 100 university professors were also captivated by his genius.

The professors held high hopes for William, envisioning a future where he would become a renowned astronomer and mathematician, exploring new worlds and making groundbreaking discoveries. They believed he had the potential to become the greatest mathematician the world had ever seen.

However, intelligence alone does not guarantee a successful life. William struggled to connect with his peers at the university, as many couldn't fathom his brilliance and found it difficult to relate to him. After graduating from Harvard at the age of sixteen, he tried to assimilate into the larger world, yearning for a fulfilling and happy existence.

Unfortunately, his teaching career at a school in Texas was short-lived. Despite his expertise in mathematics, his young age became an obstacle, causing the school administration to ask him to leave voluntarily. People simply couldn't accept being taught by someone so young.
