Why Me?

Finishing the Town

Everyone started pitching in to get the town ready; they even had some members of the Elite pack that came to help. They could get a lot done to improve the families of the pack and the town. They could get thirty-five homes built and we do three stores at the end of the week. They would get the rest of the shops done next week and hopefully get the zip lines up through the forest and we have the boat orders in for the guide center going.

“Athena, we have three female rogues and a little boy asking to speak with you?” Frank’s mind-link

“OK, I will have some others come to escort them to me. Just have them wait. Toby and Lee are on their way now.” Athena mind-linked back.

Toby and Lee arrived where the rogues were waiting for them.

“Why are you here to speak to our Alpha?” Toby asked

“We want to join her pack. Our wolves led here us telling us it’s a safe place.” Rogue replied.

“Then follow us. She is waiting for you at the packhouse.” Lee said.

Then they all ran back to the packhouse so they could talk with Alpha Athena. Toby and Lee stayed close so nothing could happen to their Alpha while she meets with the rogues. When they got to the packhouse Athena was waiting on the porch.

“Alpha these are the rogues that wish to speak to you,” Toby said

“Welcome to the Goddess Moon Pack. Why have you sought me out?” Alpha Athena asked.

“We want to join your pack. Our wolves lead us here to seek Alpha Kenda or Athena,” The rogue said.

“My name is Alpha Athena. Tell me your names and look at me when you do.” Alpha, Athena said.

“I am Clair and this is my son Blake. The other female is Mindy, her mate, Rick.” The one called Clair responded.

Alpha Athena walked toward the rogues and looked at each one of them, then looked right at the one called Rick.

“Who are you really? I know your name’s not Rick, I can sense the lie. I also know you are not these girls mate like you lead the other one to believe. So who are you?” Alpha Athena demanded.

“I do not have to answer you. You are nothing but a Female which is only a Luna. You have no real power.” The male rogue spat out.

Which got him knocked to the ground by Toby?

“Easy Toby. He is a foolish rogue. Then why did you come if you think I am nothing?” Alpha Athena asked.

“To challenge you. I will rule this pack and become the most feared pack.” The male rogue yelled.

“That would be impossible since even my beta here outranks you. That feeling there with the small boy outranks you. You are nothing but a wannabe that has no real power to do anything. So I banish you to live the rest of your days alone as a rogue, never to step foot in a pack. Now go before I have my pack run you off.” Alpha Athena bellowed

“You went along with his lie, but I can see you feared him because he was a male and someone has hurt you many times over by males. You three can join once you go see one of our pack counselors to talk with and to see where you will rank. Once that is done they will bring you to me. Understood?” Alpha Athena asked.

The three rogues shook their heads and followed Toby to see Rami. He knew she could help that one for sure because it is like what she went through with Marcus. So I know she will be a good fit for this new girl.

“Rami, I have some new members that you need to talk with. And get them tested on their rank.” Toby said as he walked into the clinic.

“Ok, have them sit in the waiting room and I will get to them one at a time,” Rami replied

He left them in the waiting room and went to talk with Athena. He found Athena looking at a building, and she was taking pictures.

“Alpha Athena, can I talk to you?” Toby asked

“Yes, what can I do for you, Toby?” Athena asked

“I have a problem with one woman that just arrived today,” Toby said

“Yes, I figured you might. The one that is having trouble with men is your mate. Give her time, be her friend, try not to let on you know she is your mate. She will feel it once she gets past the hurt.” Alpha Athena told him.

“Thank you,” Toby replied

Toby left and went to figure out his game plan to make his mate at least be his friend. He wasn’t sure how he would do that. He just knew he had to figure out something.

“Athena I need you in the clinic now. We have a problem?” Rami yelled through the mind-link.

“On my way. Toby, Lee and Tony meet me at the clinic now.” Alpha Athena said through the mind-link.

They all ended up at the clinic at the same time. Expect Toby is looking worried and scared all at the same time. Athena walks into the clinic and sees a scared woman and a mother looking worried.

“Rami wants to go on? Where are you and where is the little boy?” Athena asked.

“I’m back here with the little boy, but he is a hybrid and I need your help,” Rami said

Athena walked to the back to see a little boy that is half-vampire and half-wolf and this means trouble if the father is around.

“Clair, I need to know is the father of your child still around?” Alpha Athena asked.

“Yes, he is my mate. He knows that I was coming here to join your pack because his coven wouldn’t expect me. So he would come later to talk with you.” Clair replied.

“Thank you for being honest with me. Now we need to get your scared little boy under control before I can let him run loose in my pack.” Alpha, Athena said.

Clair walked to her son, bent down to him and looked at him. She let him know he was safe here and that if he was a good boy, they could stay here and wait for daddy. The boy relaxed and talked to Rami after that. I looked at Clair; she shook her head and followed me out.

“Clair when will your mate be here to talk to me? I need to know so I can let my pack know not to hurt him.” Alpha Athena asked.

“I will ask him and get back with you Alpha,” Clair replied

“Thank you. Please get with me as soon as you know.” Alpha Athena said then walked off to finish what she started. She gets back at the building and she figures out that she wants it to be the school for the pack. Maybe be able to offer it to the other packs and they have alliances with. That way we all can learn to get along. It will help build a good foundation for the packs.

“Tony, Rick, and Fred and you meet me at the huge building at the border of our pack that also borders two other pack lands. It is on our side, but I still want to talk with the other packs about an alliance with them and offer this option to them. But I need you guys here ASAP.” Alpha Athena voiced through the mind-link

“I’m almost there Alpha,” Tony replied

“We are on our way,” Rick and Fred said

Athena waited till all of them got there before she addressed them with her plan. She knew it would work for her pack, but it would be nice if they could get it to work for the other packs.

“Now that you are all here. I want this building to be the school. I need it to be used by over one pack. It needs to have room for Kindergarten up through Senior year. I want to have three classes each for the elementary, everything that all normal middle and high schools have. If you have to make each floor for that. Then there should be two cafeterias for this school. I want to offer sports, and anything else to help our pack and other packs grow to be better than what we have now. We owe it to our people to rise above all this pre justice against us and anyone else that gets judged wrong. We can start it here with us and try to get it to grow outside our pack. The Elite pack will try some things we are to show their support. So that is a start, let’s keep that going by offering a school to the other packs beside us.” Alpha Athena stated.

“Sounds good we will get started on it next. I have crews finishing up the shops, so we can get another crew on this and have it ready within the week.” Fred said

“Sounds like a plan. That will also give me time to have a meeting with the other two Alphas. Then I need you to get a grocery store in place and a library. Then we can see what else we will need for our pack. Tony the boats should be in tomorrow to get the dock set up. If any of you can think of anything else, please let me know. I am off to see if I can invite those Alphas here for a meeting.” Alpha, Athena said.

I called those Alphas. At least they will hear me out. So they will be here in two days for our meeting. I want to have a nice lunch ready for them and this place is ready to show them I am ready to peace with them and help them grow if they will open up their minds to all of this. We will find out in two days and hope they don’t think they can challenge me when they get here. I just think it will happen before they see what I’m offering them.

Introduction To Change

Today I will meet the Alphas to introduce change. Hoping that they will accept it with no trouble. I just don’t think it will be that easy. So I have asked everyone to be on their guard. My pack is now one of the best in strength and fighting techniques. So, it would be hard for anyone to get one over on my pack. They may have numbers, but it wouldn’t take much to have the Elite pack here at my side, which is why Alpha Elijah is coming. He wants to see what I have done with the place.

“Alpha we have visitors at our gate.” Pack patrol said

“Who is it?” Alpha Athena asked

“It’s Alpha Elijah and his Luna and two other Alphas.” Came his reply.

“Let them pass but make sure there are no surprises at any of our borders.” Alpha Athena said

“Yes, Alpha,” pack patrol replied

I went to the front porch of the packhouse. Called my Beta, Gamma and Deta are coming to the packhouse that the Alpha’s have arrived. That we need to set a good impression for them. They all answered my mind-link right away. My team arrived at the porch just as we saw the cars coming up the driveway. We all wait for the cars to come to a stop and it is funny to watch the look of the Alpha’s faces that have never met me before. It is funny to think one of them will challenge me before the day is done. Can’t wait for that. I walk down the steps to greet Alpha Elijah and Luna Lucy.

“Good Morning Alpha Elijah and Luna Lucy. I have missed you both so much. I can’t wait for you to see the place and tell me what you think.” Alpha Athena announced.

“It’s good to see you again, my dear. We have missed you too. The guys wanted me to tell you you need to come back and show them new moves. That you can’t keep them all to yourself.” Alpha Elijah said with a smile.

“I will keep that in mind on my next visit there.” Alpha, Athena said.

“Good Morning Alphas. I am Alpha Athena of the Moon Goddess Pack. I welcome you two new beginnings,” Alpha Athena voiced.

“Is this some kind of joke Alpha Elijah?” One of the Alphas asked.

“Why would you ask that? How can you disrespect another Alpha when she has invited you here to offer you an Allie instead of wanting to just take you over.” Alpha Elijah said?

“She is no Alpha, she is a child and a Luna.” The Alpha replied.

“I suggest you stop talking about me like I am not here. If you think I am a joke, the step up and challenge me like a real Alpha,” Alpha Athena roared with power and made him kneel in front of everyone.

“Now who are you a fool for pissing me off when I showed you hospitality?” Alpha Athena asked

“I am Alpha Ranger of the Ranger Moon Pack,” Alpha

“Do you still see me as a child or just a Luna when I show you I have more power than you? I choose not to be a power-hungry Alpha, but one that ones to see the best for our kind. To see the change come. We need a change, and you want to live in the old ways. If that is how you feel then you can leave without our alliance.” Alpha, Athena said.

Alpha Ranger stood up, looking shocked and a little guilty for pushing the way he did.

“I want to apologize to you, Alpha Athena. Your right I am used to the old ways and I would still like to see what you have in mind for a change.” Alpha Ranger replied.

“Then follow me. Oh, sorry, where is my head. Who are you?” Alpha Athena turns to the other Alpha.

“It’s all right, Alpha. My name is Alpha Marty of the Snow Moon Pack,” Alpha Marty replied.

“It’s good to have you here Alpha, Marty. Please, all follow me to the meeting room and we will get started. Lee, can you please get some drinks and snacks brought to the Meeting room? Get someone to help you. Thank you,” Alpha Athena requested.

They are sitting in the meeting room when Athena has a screen lower in the room to show what she has done with the place so far and what she wants to do.

“Ok everyone I will show everything that we have done so far and I will explain as I go along. Keep in mind that this is just the beginning and I plan to keep going from here.” Alpha, Athena said.

She started the slides and talked about each one in great detail. Everyone was shocked that she could get so much done in a short time and that she got this pack to work together so well. She then started talking about the school she was working on that was on her land, but it is next to each of the four territories.

“Nowhere is why I want to have an alliance with each one of you. I have already allied with the Elite Pack, I am asking you two to join us and be part of the school. Where all our packs can go to school and learn and be able to give back to our kind. Where the school would sit, each could help by adding playground equipment and sporting equipment and fields to have sports. We can go against the human schools without using our full power as werewolves. It would give us the practice to deal with humans outside our world. It would help to show that we are not here to rule the world or to start a war that they couldn’t win. It would just bring hunters back to hunt us down one by one or try to burn our homes, but if we can learn to coexist with them, we can bring more money to our packs to get things that could help our people a lot. That is what I am offering you today. A chance to be a part of a big change that will be better for us in the long run. There will be some that will fight against this and try to stop it, but we can do this for our people and future generations. Does anyone have questions?” Alpha Athena asked

“How do you expect to help our kind?” Alpha Marty asked

“For starters, I have to build a hell of a medical center here and a lab to help our kind with silver and wolfsbane. We have been working on ways to help our kind to overcome those things.” Alpha Athena replied

“Do you really think you can do all of that by yourself?” Alpha Ranger asked.

“No, but the change has to start somewhere, and I have started it here in my pack and Alpha Elijah and Luna Lucy and also changed their pack. We are asking you to join us in the change. To improve our people than what they say, we are. Show them we can be better than they think we can. Change has to start within my pack. Now are you with us or you still want the old ways?” Alpha Athena asked.

“I can’t speak for Alpha Ranger, but as far as the Snow Moon Pack I am in. Let’s make that alliance happen and bring our people out of the stone age.” Alpha, Marty replied.

“Well, I’m not as gun-oh as Alpha Marty but you make a lot of good points and I really don’t want to be on your bad side. I think I have already felt some of what you can do and I don’t want to see that in full force unless I am on your side. So let’s make some changes happen and begin our alliance.” Alpha Marty explained.

“Good, I have already had the paperwork made up. Here is the paper to sign and Alpha Elijah has agreed to be our witnesses for the alliance. I look forward to us bringing our packs into the future.” Alpha Athena announced.

“Alpha Athena lunch is ready if you and your guest would like to come to the dining room,” Amy said

“Thank you, Amy, we will be right there. Ladies and Gentlemen lunch is ready in the dining room if you will follow my Beta Tony he will show you the way. I will be right behind you once I make copies and file these.” Alpha, Athena said.

They all followed Tony to the dining room for lunch. Then Toby slips in to talk with Alpha Athena.

“There were some wolves by the border of Alpha Rangers corner of our territory waiting for orders. But once you put him in his place, they left. He may have some problems when he goes back. They felt him kneel to you and see it.” Toby informed

“Thank you Toby. I will handle it from here. Go get you some lunch.” Alpha, Athena said.

They both went to join everyone for lunch and then she needed to figure out what she will do about Alpha Ranger and his pack. She will have to do something or there could be pack problems for him than for us. Her mind-link Alpha Elijah.

“Alpha Ranger had some of his wolves posted outside my territory on his side watching. They felt and saw him kneel at me. That could be bad for him when he goes back. How should I handle that?” Alpha Athena asked.

“Wait till after lunch and then you and I can take him to your office and talk to him. If he was thinking of challenging you and having his wolves’ attack in hoping to keep you off balance, they will challenge him when he returns and may not hold up to the treaty he signed.” Alpha, Elijah said.

“I guess we will have to play this one by ear.” Alpha Athena replied

Alpha Elijah agreed

Lunch went very well. Everyone enjoyed themselves and Alpha Marty tried to steal Amy away from me but Amy stood strong in saying it thrilled her where she was and that she could see herself ever leaving. I had to laugh at the fact that all the Alpha’s mate. I thanked Amy for her high praise of me.

“Can I have all the Alpha’s please come to my office? There is something that was brought to my attention and I think we need to address it now and not later.” Alpha, Athena said.

They all followed her to the office and took a seat. Waiting for her to speak about whatever was on her mind.

“I brought it to my attention that Alpha Ranger had some of his pack hang out at the border when he started his little rant about me. Well, I would have to say that Alpha Ranger had every intention of challenging me for my pack and would try to distract me with the attack. The thing is, his pack seen and felt him kneel before me. I can handle this one of two ways. It will be how you explain why you came here with hostile intent towards me right off the bat.” Alpha Athena asked.

“Your right I came here looking to expand my territory, and I figured you would be an easy target one being so young, two begin and female, and third I begin older and more war like-minded. I was not expecting you to be so strong and one with your wolf. I also didn’t think you were as smart as you have shown me you are. I am sorry for my behavior and would like to fix our relationship so we can have a good alliance together. I ask that you come and help me fix my pack please.” Alpha Ranger explained.

“Alpha Ranger, I have been chosen by the Goddess herself to lead this change Luna Lucy can also tell you herself about that so can the elders and some council. They all have seen me in action and my pack. If I come to help you fix your pack, some of your pack may want to leave. We must give them choices to make the change work. All alphas will go with you to help you, but I am telling you you still will be challenged by at least two of your pack mates. They have bad intentions and was planning on killing you in your sleep. I have the knowledge of this given to me by the Goddess. So I will help you and I am sure from one out you will be loyal to me.” Athena explained.

“What choice should we give them?” Alpha Ranger asked.

“The same ones I gave mine. They can stay with you, live as a rogue without joining a pack for a year, or they can choose one of our packs to join. That is the best way to build a good pack, treat them like they are a family and you are the parent.” Athena explained.

Ranger Moon Pack

We all got ready to go to the Ranger Moon Pack and try to fix things that should have never to be. If Alpha Ranger would have not been so greedy for more land, he would not be needing my help now. I have to show this pack I am not someone they want to mess with and that the treaty should stand. Now whether they still want Alpha Ranger as the Alpha is still up in the air I am just here to make sure those two that have the wrong ideas don’t make it to leadership.

“Is everyone ready to go?” Alpha Athena yelled

“Yes Alpha,” Tony and the others said

“You can’t go with me,” Alpha Athena said

“We want to be there to protect you and to help you,” they all said

“I know you do. I need someone here to protect the pack and to keep going with what we have planned. You are all wonderful and I am glad that you all have my back. Now have each other’s backs and make sure everyone here is taken care of and the work gets done so we can all enjoy it soon.” Athena said.

“Tony can go with you this time then. He stayed back last time and stayed on schedule. We want to see if we can get early now.” Toby said with a smile.

“That’s fine and I will let you know. Come on, Tony let’s head out.” Alpha, Athena said.

They all head out to head towards the Ranger pack, not sure what to expect when they get there. Alpha Elijah sent Luna Lucy home to tell two of his best warriors to meet him at the gate of the Ranger pack. Alpha Marty will only see what I can do with the pack. He wants to see me in real action and have some fun while he can. Alpha Marty and his guards are in one car, Alpha Ranger and his are in another car, while Alpha Elijah, Tony and myself are in the last car as we get to the gate we see that two of the Elite warriors are waiting on us. They get in the car and I can see that they are glad that they are the ones that got to come. They just knew I would be involved somehow, and they wanted to be in on it.

“It’s good to see you, Mark and Eric. I figured you guys wouldn’t pass this up.” Alpha, Athena said.

“Are you kidding? We both figured you would be apart from this and we wanted in on it.” Eric said

“Yeah, and we get to spend time with you and see how a beautiful woman works her magic. I have missed our talks, Alpha Athena. No one can challenge me in the mind like you.” Mark replied.

“Thank you both. Anytime you are up for a match Mark just call or come by.” Athena smiled.

“I wish those two would stop flirting with my Alpha,” Tony said under his breath hoping no one heard him. Except Athena heard him and looked at him in shock, but covered it up quickly.

She didn’t know what came over Tony to say that. But I will have to talk to him later about it. I get that he wants to protect his Alpha and all, but these guys are my friends. They all know I haven’t found a mate and they all seem like they want to be my mate. I’m just not ready to have a mate try to make me into something that I will never be. They meant me to be an Alpha and I will stay an Alpha till the Goddess tells me something different. My mate will have to accept that I am an Alpha and he will have to rule at my side as my equal or not at all. We reached the Ranger packhouse and we see a bunch of people standing around looking like they are about to say something to all of us.

“Who is on Ranger Pack territory?” One man asked.

“Step down, Will. I have brought guests to our pack.” Alpha Ranger said.

“I told us you are no longer Alpha that you kneeled to a woman and we had to be prepared to fight for our pack back,” Will explained

“Who said I was no longer Alpha?” Alpha Ranger asked

“Henry and Nell came here saying that they saw you kneel to a woman and that she would be here to talk over soon. That we all must attack her at once.” Will explained.

“There was no challenge made on me for me to lose my Alpha status. She was showing me she was not an Alpha to take any shit. I am still the Alpha of this pack.” Alpha Ranger said.

“Alpha Ranger maybe if you introduce me to your pack and let them see for themselves that I am here as a friend it might help them feel better about the rumor going around. Also, bring this Henry and Nell to the front of the pack and I will use them for my demonstration of my strength for your pack to see why you showed me respect and kneeled.” Alpha, Athena said.

“That’s a good idea. Gather everyone and have them meet all of us in the field for a pack meeting and to meet new friends. I also want Henry and Nell front and center.” Alpha Ranger told Will

We followed Alpha Ranger around his territory and into the field for the pack meeting. Once everyone was gathered, and Henry and Nell were in the front, he was ready to talk.

“Welcome my pack. I would like you to meet new friends. Alpha Marty from the Snow Moon Pack, then here is Alpha Elijah from the Elite Pack, and finally, we have Alpha Athena of the Goddess Moon Pack, the first Alpha Female we have ever seen in centuries. I hear that it shocks some of you she is here. Since you have heard a rumor about me. It is not true that I lost my Alpha title. Yes, I kneeled to Alpha Athena because of respect, not because she took my title. She will show you why she gets respect and not looked at as a weak person. Henry and Nell will be the ones she uses as her demonstration on. So welcome Alpha Athena and Henry and Nell to the center.” Alpha Ranger said.

“Thank you for that welcome Alpha Ranger. Then she looked at Henry and Nell. You must be my volunteers. I would like you to attack me and do not hold back. I want you to give it all you got. Do you understand?” Alpha Athena said.

They shook their head yes and got ready to attack.

“Alpha Athena, get some help. Those two seem like they will not play fair.” Alpha Marty spoke up.

“Thank you for your concern Alpha Marty, but you will not need to worry, But to ease all of your minds. I will ask Tony, Eric, and Mark to stand around making sure that they fight fair.” Alpha, Athena said.

The guys turned into their wolves, and I waited in the center for them to make their move. Everyone was waiting for me to turn into a wolf, but I waited for them to make a move. Then I heard Eric speak up.

“Dudes she will not turn into a wolf, you guys might as well make a move because I can’t wait to see her kick your asses,” Eric said while he laughs.

The wolves didn’t like to be laughed at, so they circled Athena. They knew they were some of the best fighters that this pack had, and Henry knew he would be Alpha once he got rid of Alpha Ranger. He just had to prove he could take this one down and then challenge Alpha Ranger. He then took off running at me while his friend hung back. He jumped, and I hit him in the head and sent him flying back into his friend. Then they both came at me and I did a roundhouse kick at one of their heads and knocked him into his friend. Then I jumped on both of them and yelled in my Alpha voice to change. They couldn’t fight it, and they had to change right there. Then I made them submit to me, showing me a neck.

I got up and turned my back on them and walked away. Then the guys jumped me and held a knife to my throat.

“Do you think you can just disrespect me like that in front of my pack? I will be Alpha. A Ranger is weak for kneeling at your feet. You just got lucky in winning this fight.” Henry yelled in anger.

“You let her go and you will walk away from here alive. If you don’t, I will tear you apart.” Beta Tony said to Henry.

“Don’t make me laugh, little boy. I have your Alpha, you will do what I say. Now kneel before me.” Henry told everyone.

That’s it, I have had enough of this.

“Do not kneel before someone who doesn’t deserve respect. As for you. You should have used the knife when you had the chance.” Alpha Athena said as she turned into her wolf and killed Henry first by ripping off his arm, the one that held the knife, then ripping off his head. She then changed back with her clothes on and everyone was shocked on both counts.

“You there Nell. Do you share his beliefs? Do you think you can well thank your Alpha or any Alpha?” Alpha Athena asked.

“No Alpha. He scared me, so I followed him.” Nell said.

“You tell the truth. Alpha Ranger, you should not have any more problems in your pack. Henry was trying to turn everyone against you and scared most of them into doing so.” Alpha, Athena said.

“Thank you for your help, Alpha Athena. Now can he ask the pack what they would like to do so we can start this change you talked about?” Alpha Ranger asked.

“Yes, Let’s,” Alpha Elijah said

“Now to the real reason that we are all gathered here today. Alpha Athena has done wonders for her pack in a short time. She has shown me and others that we can do that if we work together as a family instead of how we have been. That each of us has something to help improve our pack instead of us doing things the old fashion way. Even omegas is an asset to our pack. They are the true heart of our pack because they help care for us and our pups. We need to take care of them in return. We will revive this pack and make it better. We will go to school and teach our pups how to help our kind to be better than how we are. Alpha Athena is building a school for all our packs to attend, most of it will be on her land but we each will donate some land for things the school will need. I know change is hard, but I know we can do it. That is why I will give you each a choice to make before we come up with a plan for this pack. Alpha Athena, Alpha Elijah, and Alpha Marty have offered anyone a chance to join their packs if you choose too. I will not hold any ill will if you leave. If you leave and be a rogue, then you may not join a pack for a year. So if you are a part of the Elit pack go stand by Alpha Elijah, the same goes for Alpha Marty, and Alpha Athena or myself. If you are a rogue, then stand off to the side. Thank you,” Alpha Ranger said.

Some of his pack left him. He had around two hundred wolves before he offered them a chance to leave. He was down fifty now. The Elite pack got 16 new pack members, Snow Moon pack got sixteen new members, I got eighteen new pack members and most of them women. I have a good number of men without mates in my pack, now it looks like I will have almost an even number of women now. My pack is growing and I haven’t even been to the Snow moon pack yet. This will be fun.

“Alpha Ranger, you have plans to make with your pack and new ways to test their ranks now. You will be a good Alpha with new knowledge and less trouble now. I wish you luck from here on out. If you need us we are a phone call away.” Alpha Athena said and headed for her car.

“Thank you, Alpha Athena, for everything.” Alpha Ranger replied.

I smiled at him and got into my car with the rest of the people I came with. The new pack member will follow in another car driven by one of Alpha Rangers men. They will join the pack in the morning once they speak with Rami.

“You did good Kenda. I am very proud to call you my friend. I can’t wait to see what you do at the Snow Moon Pack next week.” Alpha, Elijah said.

“I did nothing here. I helped him keep his title because they would kill him in his sleep and blame it on me. They would start a war and try to get enough wolves to come after you. You were the main goal. You turned him down for joining your warriors and he wanted revenge. My wolf is seen into his heart. That’s how I knew. Before you ask.” Alpha, Athena said.

They all laughed because again she was one step ahead of them all. They had a feeling she would be in a lot of fights and have some enemies soon popping up. They would be there by her side the whole way.

New In Town

There were some people’s cars that broke down just outside our little town. It was a mother and two daughters traveling alone. We passed them on our way back to my territory, and I made my driver stop.

“Keith stopped, those people need help. We can’t leave them out here all alone with rogues not far away.” Athena said.

“Yes, Alpha,” Keith replied

“Athena, what are you doing?” Alpha Elijah asked

“We will help the mother and daughter out. Something is different about her and I think they need our help, not just with their car.” Athena explained.

“Do you think someone is trying to hurt them?” Tony asked.

“Not sure yet, Tony. I won’t know till I talk with her and can be able to read her since that is a gift that the Goddess has given me.” Athena explained.

“Well then, let’s help and see what we can do for them.” Alpha, Elijah said.

“Hello, there. Can we help you?” Athena asked.

“Oh, yes. Thank you for stopping. We didn’t think we would see anyone on this road soon. Our car isn’t working and I don’t know why and I’m not sure if there is a town nearby.” The mother said.

“Yes, there is a town nearby, they just remodeled it and all so not everything is up and running just yet. But there is a diner where you can get some food and we have a big house that you and your girls can stay for the night. My name is Athena and yours?” Athena explained.

“It’s nice to meet you, Athena. I am Rachal, and these are my daughters Rose and Lily. We would be most grateful for any help you can give.” Rachal said.

“Then you guys climb in the car with us and when we get to town Tony here and a few other guys in town will come back and get your car. We can see what is wrong with it then. Does this sound fine?” Athena asked.

“Thank you so much, Athena and Tony. You sure that we won’t be in your way?” Rachal asked.

“You won’t be in the way. It will be our pleasure to help. Come now, you guys must be hungry.” Athena said.

The girls looked at all the men and then back at Athena. They figured she had to be someone important to have so many bodyguards. They felt at ease with her, and she was so nice. They felt safe with her. Maybe they can make a home in her town and her father won’t be able to find them and his grandchildren. He is trying to control who they marry and when like he did me as a child and I won’t let him do that to my children. I will not let them get beat and scared to do anything without their husbands around. I would still be a prisoner if he hadn’t died in his sleep. Then my father wanted to do that to me again along with my children just to make allies. No, I had to get them out of there, find a safe place for them. I will see at this place to offer and see if we can live here. They all seem nice enough and normal as far as I can tell.

“Tony, she is running away from someone. He has hurt her and tried to hurt the girls. We need to keep them safe in case he finds them here. We need to keep an eye out for strangers at all times. Just let me know when new people come to town. We haven’t started advertising yet so no one should know about the Zipline or boating stuff.” Athena explained.

“Yes, Alpha. Athena I would like to talk to you later about Rose if I may.” Tony asked.

“Sure let’s get them settled first and the car to town hidden away from onlookers,” Athena said

They drove the rest of the way in silence, and wondering who could be after them. It scares them to death, and I saw some lite bruising on Rachal’s arms. That will not be happening again to these women. I will make sure of it.

“Amy, can you have some food ready? I have three human women with me in need of some food and shelter. I will need two rooms made up for them. Pass the word around that we will have some human visitors in town they will stay with us.” Athena mind-linked Amy.

“Yes, Alpha. I will have food, and rooms ready shortly for you. You are what, fifteen minutes out.” Amy asked.

“Yes, your right Amy. Thank you.” Athena replied all she heard in return was a little giggle and then nothing.

When they arrived at the packhouse, everyone was waiting outside to see the new pack members and the humans. It was like a circus was in town. I had to laugh when I saw Rachal, Rose and Lily’s faces when they saw the house and all the people outside.

“Are you the mayor or something of this town?” Lily asked.

I laughed, “or something would be a great title for myself.” I replied.

“This is a big house and everything. Do all these people live here?” Rose asked.

“No, not all of them. Some live here, some have their own place and others just work here or in town. Speaking of jobs. Do you all need jobs or school?” Athena asked.

“Rose and I could use a job and Lily will need to go to school or homeschooled if that is available,” Rachal replied.

“I have a store in town that needs people to run it. We are getting ready to open up for tourists and stuff here soon. It will be a souvenir shop for tourists. We know our town for wolves and stuff, plus zip lining and boating. So you will show things with our wolf logo on them and zip lining and boats. Things like that. If you have any ideas that would be helpful, just let me know. But Tony can walk you guys there and show you guys the shop and you can set it up any way you like. I also think we have an apartment above the shop that has two bedrooms that you guys can live in since you will run the store and Lily will go to school with the town’s children. It looks like Amy has made you all something to eat as a snack dinner will be at seven and then Amy will show you to your rooms. I will see you guys at seven.” Athena said as she walked off.

“Athena wait,” Rose asked

“Yes, Rose?” Athena replied

“Can I talk to you when I am done eating? I have a few questions and I don’t want my mother to hear that I am asking you this. She seems to think I am nuts because of this. So I would like to talk to you if I may.” Rose asked with all the confidence she could

“Rose you can talk to me about anything. I am your friend and hope to be a boss. So please just ask anyone to show you to my office and they will bring you to me when you’re ready.” Athena said.

“Thank you” Rose replied and went back to the others

This will be a long day. In the office waited Alpha Elijah and the others for her.

“Sorry to keep you all waiting. That took a little longer than I thought it would. So Alpha Elijah, when would be a good time for you to go with me to the Snowpack?” Alpha Athena asked.

“I was thinking of sending Aiden with you because I want to get him used to doing this with you and others. Plus, I think it would be good for him to see how you handle things. It might help him a little better too and I know it would help your brother to know that you are safe at all times.” Alpha, Elijah said while laughing.

“You are just hoping that your son is my mate. Give me time to get everything going and I will find my mate. I just need to make sure everything is in place first. My dad will figure out who I am eventually and I need everything done and ready for that. I don’t want a mate to get hurt if something would happen to me, it would just hurt him in the loss of me if we were mated.” Alpha, Athena said.

“I understand your reasons, Kenda. I also know how you and your wolf would like to be open about who you really are. It will come to my dear, just think about how your mate could help you deal with all of this. You don’t have to bear this alone, you have a family now, not just your pack, but mine as well love you. I will let you know the time when Aiden and I head to Snow Moon Pack. I think I will head home to my mate now.” Alpha, Elijah said.

“Have a safe journey,” Athena replied

“Athena the new pack members are ready for you and they have their rank once they get added into the pack. I will meet with the humans once they get settled.” Rami said through our mind-link.

“Thank you. Just let the new pack members know we will have a gathering in the field tonight to bring them into the pack. It will be after the humans go to bed.” Alpha Athena said.

“You betcha Alpha girl.” Rami mind-linked, laughing at me because of my shocked look, I sent her for her comment. Then there was a knock at my door that took me out of my thoughts.

“Come in” Athena yelled

“Alpha it’s just me,” Tony said as he came in

“Yes Tony, How can I help you?” Athena asked.

“It’s about the human girl, Rose. I think she is my mate and I can feel a pull towards her that tells me she is mine, but I don’t think she feels it. What do I do?” Tony asked.

“I kind of figured that was the case when I saw your face when she got out of her car. I also know there is more to her than even her mother may know. So that could be what is keeping her from feeling the bond. I don’t think she is human. I would suggest courting her like in the old days. Ask her out on a date like the young kids do before they find their mates. But I would like to learn how humans do it so you can treat her like she is expecting to be treated by a boyfriend. Start there, then we can figure out how to proceed. Ok?” Athena explained.

“That sounds good Athena. I will do some research before I ask her out.” Tony replied.

“That sounds perfect,” Athena said then Tony left to go to his room to figure out what a human date would be. So he could win over his mate. He doesn’t know why he got to have a human mate, but he will love her no matter what and keep her safe. Then he was brought out of his thoughts by his mate.

“Excuses me. Can you help me find Athena’s office, please?” Rose asked.

“Yes, Rose I can,” Tony said

“Oh, you know my name?” Rose asked

“Yes, I was there with Athena when she stopped to help you. I guy I didn’t stand out, my name is Tony,” he replied.

“Oh ok, I remember now. You were standing in the middle of Athena and that big guy when I got out. Sorry I was just overwhelmed with everything.” Rose replied.

He walked Rose to Athena office just doing a little chitchat with her. He was just overjoyed that she was talking with him. Then they stopped at the door of the Athena office. Tony knocked on the door and let her know that he was bringing in Rose to see her. They both walked into the office.

“Thank you, Tony, for bringing Rose to see me. You can go now.” Athena said.

“Ok, Athena. Rose if you need anything please let me know,” Tony said and left the office I watched as Rose blushed and looked down to hide the blush. She might feel something of the bond. I can’t wait to see what she wants to talk about.

“Rose, you wanted to talk with me?” Athena asked

“Oh, sorry. Yes, I wanted to ask if you know of anyone that had dreams of the future or past or something? You know, like a clairvoyant or something?” Rose asked

“Yes, Rose, I know a few people who can do that. I believe in the supernatural world if that is what you are asking.” Athena said.

“Yes. See before my father died and trust me it was for the best that he is dead. He said he wasn’t a total human and that my sister and I were more than my mother because he kept it that way because she wasn’t his true mate. But because he could tell we were more, he figured he had time to tell us, but he died before he could tell me everything. My mom thinks he was just trying to toy with me like he did her and hurt me as he did her. He only took her as his because he wanted something from my grandfather that wants nothing but power and money. That is why we are here, hiding away. Is there a way to test to see what I may be if he was telling the truth or not?” Rose asked.

“Yes, I know someone who could help. We will keep this between you and me, but I need you to tell me everything about your past and family.” Athena said.

“I can do that. I don’t know a lot, but I can tell you what I know. When would you like to start?” Rose asked.

“We can take this up in the morning. Why don’t you go rest for the night,” Athena told her?

Rose left the office and left me with a lot to think about. Why me? Why bring them to me, Goddess? Why me?

Opening For Business

The pack did a wonderful job getting things done in a timely manner and early. We are ready to bring people to work in schools and clerks to run our shops. We have all the pack housing down and extras just in case some humans want to move here. We have cabin rentals to go along with the zip lining and boating. We are ready to get employees and businesses brought into this community. The school will open once we get teachers and bring in only the ones we can trust with our secret. It will take a lot for the youngsters to learn to control, so we will also have werewolves workers. To help get them out of the human eye site so they can still go to school with the rest of us. They will know that we are different but they won’t know-how and that is the main thing. Once we get werewolves educated as teachers and we keep growing we will have both in the school for everyone. We are all still learning and growing with everything around us. So we will all need to still be on our toes, keeping everything in check. We got the new members all together and joined the pack; we have the humans we helped in their place. I also learned that the sisters are half breeds of the wolf. So they could turn or not but have some abilities of the werewolf. That is interesting. Also, Rose is my bettas mate and she may or may not feel the bond. With all that going on, we still have to get advertising done for jobs and the fun. Where do we advertise? We should start with the local towns nearby first see how it goes that way then we can move onto the bigger cities. I guess time to work on that for a while before something else pops up. I guess I was working in my office for about two hours when my phone rang. Aiden was on the other end of the line.

“Hello Aiden, how can I help you?” Athena asked.

“Since you asked me so nicely, I can think of a few ways you can help me,” Aiden replied

“What are those?” Athena retorted back.

“The first one is to have dinner with me tonight? The second thing is you need to tell your guards to let me pass through the gate to come to see you.” Aiden laughed as he told her where he was at.

She mind-linked the guards to let him pass and let him come to the packhouse. She then asked Toby to greet him when he gets here and show him to the living room. She then ran up the stairs to her room to take a quick shower and change clothes. She has never been on a date before, but then she thought is this a date or just friends wanting to catch up on things. Maybe he wants to talk about that before he found his mate or something. He might just want to talk about Alpha stuff. “It could be a date.” Morriganam her wolf said, “You’re not helping Morriganam,” she told her wolf. “I was just saying that it could be. You never know. He is one hot looking male. His wolf is hot too.” Morriganam said. “Stop your making me more nervous than I already was, you horny wolf.” Then she blocked her wolf off, so she didn’t have to hear anymore. Once she was ready, she walked downstairs to see Aiden sitting talk with one of the pack single she-wolfs. They weren’t close or anything, but it kinda bothered Athena. She shook it off and walked over to them.

“Hi everyone, how are you?” Athena asked.

Everyone told the Alpha hello and said they were fine. Aiden stood up and looked her up and down with lust in his eyes. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

“Athena you look beautiful. Are you ready to go to dinner?” Aiden asked.

“Thank you and yes lead the way,” Athena replied

They walked out the door and Aiden put his hand on the small of her back to walk with her. He walked her to his car and opened the door for her. He drove to the town he took her to get her makeover, and she remembered the places they had fun together.

“This is the town you took drove me to when I got my makeover. We had lots of fun that day.” Athena said while she recalled the day.

“Yes, we did. I couldn’t get over it took me forever to get you to spend money. I had to beg you to spend money. I just had to laugh that you got me to beg you to spend my money.” Aiden said, making her laugh.

“I didn’t feel right spending your money. I would like to pay you back for all the things you have done for me. You didn’t have to.” Athena said.

“You don’t have to pay me back. I wanted to help, and I would never change it at all. I got to know you better and I still get to know you. Plus, you agreed to go on this date with me and I was sure you would have said no,” Aiden said.

“This is a date?” Athena asked.

“Yes. Why else would I have asked you to dinner?” Aiden asked in wonderment.

“I thought to talk about Alpha stuff or changes that you might want to make in your pack or the school that is finished. I thought of everything else, but I didn’t think you were asking me out.” Athena explained.

“Are you saying that you wouldn’t have come if you knew this was a date?” Aiden asked.

“No, that’s not what I am saying. I just didn’t think I was your type, that’s all.” Athens tried to explain.

“Oh, you think you know my type now. So what is my type?” Aiden asked.

“Well, from what I have seen from the pictures your sister and mother have shown me. Usually tall and blonde with large boobs. Or you might go for the ones that are Medium build with big boobs and a little more mind power but not by much.” Athena said.

Aiden just looked at her, then back at the road. He didn’t know what to say because she was right that his usual type. He just couldn’t stop himself with her though. He didn’t know why, but he wanted to find out.

“Can a man change from what he normally does to want to grow up and start thinking about the future. Not wanting to play around any longer?” Aiden asked.

“Yes. I think a man can change. Usually, it happens when they find their mate or are bored with what they have been doing. So which is it for you?” Athena asked.

“I am bored with them not being able to hold a conversation, I haven’t found my mate, but I also don’t want to give up dating if the person is so much fun to be with and is beautiful on top of it.” Aiden voiced.

“Nice answer,” Athena said

They rode the rest of the way to the restaurant in silence and it was nice, not the awkward kind. They arrived, and it was a lovely place. She could see the water out back and thought this was amazing. The place was called MoonLight Palace. She was just over the moon that he would pick such a place to take her. She was happy and didn’t want the night to an end.

“Thank you for the wonderful time that I am having. This place is beautiful, and the conversations have been interesting. I think for my first date ever I enjoyed it.” Athena said.

“This was your first date?” Aiden asked.

“Yes. My father didn’t let me go anywhere or have friends.” Athena explained.

“Well, I am glad that I could be your first. I hope we can share many more first together.” Aiden said.

“We shall see. I will change the subject and ask for your help with something. I have been trying to figure out how to put together some ads for employment and advertising our activities. Would you be able to help me with that?” Athena asked.

“Sure I can. When would you like to start?” Aiden asked

“As soon as you can. That was what I was trying to do when you asked me to dinner tonight.” Athena confessed.

“Not a problem we can start when we get back. I will just stay over and all that.” Aiden said.

“That sounds like a plan,” Athena replied

They talked for a little more than head back to the talk shop. They started talking business. Aiden had some good ideas about how to advertise the activities and even a few about the jobs. By the time they were ready for bed, they had most of the work done with a few new ideas to try in the morning. So they could have the businesses of the pack up and running in no time. They woke up and met in the dining room for breakfast. All the pack was lending a helping hand to anything they could. Do the finishing touches and all that. They were all talking about what all still needed to be done. Aiden enters the dining room and a few of she-wolves yell for him to come to sit by them. He waves at them and sits next to Athena. she-wolves don’t get made or anything; they respect what he has done. They know that Athena has been good to them and they would like to see her happy.

“It looks like you have a fan club in my pack, Aiden,” Athena said while laughing

“I guess so. So are you part of that fan club?” Aiden asked.

“Only in your dreams. I don’t have time to be in a fan club. I have too much gone on for that.” Athena stated.

“Well, I am a part of your fan club at my pack. Believe me when I say you have most of my pack in that club.” Aiden respond while shaking his head.

“Why would I have a fan club?” Athena asked.

“Well, you do a lot for your pack and you still make time for other packs. I would bet money you have a fan club at Ranger’s pack,” Aiden explained.

“That is silly. I do what I do. I am not doing anything special. I just want to make a difference like the Moon Goddess wants me too,” Athena explained.

“Speaking of packs, when are you wanting to go to the Snow Moon Pack?” Aiden asked

“I was hoping to go Monday if we can, I think it would be best to get it done right away. Do you want to call him or would you like me to do that?” Athena asked with a smile.

“Oh, be my guess and call. I would like to see how you handle something like that,” Aiden replied.

“Alpha Athena you have eight rogues at the gate requesting to speak to you,” The guard said through mind-link

“Ok, I will be right there,” Alpha Athena replied through the mind-link

“Aiden cares to go with me to the front gate? I have eight rogues at my gate,” Athena said.

“Sure let’s go,” Aiden replied

“Tony, Toby, Lee, and a few others come with me to the front gate where there are eight rogues wanting to talk,” Alpha Athena told them. They all got up with her and followed her out. The rest she mind-linked and told them to finish their breakfast and have a good day. They arrived at the gate to see that there were over eight of them there now.

“When did the others show up?” Athena asked

“Just before you arrived,” The guard replied

Seeking me out

“I’m Alpha Athena. What brings all of you to my land?” Athena asked in a loud voice.

One rogue steps up and bows her head, regarding her. Then gets ready to speak up when she is knocked to the ground by a male who is beating the crap out of her. Athena was just about to jump when Tony and Toby took him down to know that is what she was about to do they held him down.

“Shift now you mutt,” Alpha Athena yelled

You could see how he tried to fight her command but couldn’t. He shifted, and Tony and Toby grabbed him again.

“How dare you force me to change when you are not my alpha or any alpha? What are you, a witch?” The male rogue asked.

“I am Alpha Athena and you are on my land hurting this woman. I have every right to make you change at will as many times as I want. No, I am not a witch, but I can make you wish that is all I was.” Alpha Athena said.

“You are not an Alpha, you are a female nothing more than a baby factory,” The male said

Athena walked up to him and backhand him right across his face and watched as his lip bled.

“Don’t test me, boy. I will not think twice about killing you. Now tell me why you are hurting this woman,” Alpha Athena demanded

The rogue could see she meant what she said, and he got scared now. He wasn’t an alpha but the beta of his pack and this woman got supposed to give him a child but she ran from him after he untied her to take her to bed. He would not mark her; he was just going to make her bare a child-like they meant her to do.

“She is my property. I would make her bare me a child and more if she was good enough.” the male replied.

“Did she want to be with you in that way? Is this woman your mate?” Alpha Athena asked.

“I didn’t care if she wanted to or not. I paid for her to bare me a child, and that is what she will do. No, she is not my mate, I do not believe in mates. I think a male should have as many women as he wants to keep his bed warm and to give him children. That is all they are good for.” The male said.

All the men around shook their heads, knowing what is to come now. They all knew he was a dead man. He showed no remorse for what he has done and he wasn’t wanting to change. They all could see that.

“I Alpha Athena, chosen by the Goddess herself, sees that you have no morals and no love in your heart. With the power that the Goddess has given me I sentence you to death, but before I have that carried out. What pack are you from the beta?” Alpha Athena asked.

He looked at her in shock. How did she know all of that and can she really sentence him to death?

“What is my crime? I am the Beta of the South Ridge Pack and my alpha will come looking for me if I am not back within three days. He knows where I am, I have mind-linked him by telling him so and what you just said. He will be here in three days. He told me to tell you I better be alive or heads will roll.” the male started laughing. But then he noticed that she wasn’t scared or caring about what he just said.

“I am not worried about your Alpha little man crime is engaging in werewolf trafficking and abuse on a female werewolf. All hearts will bare witness that you said you paid for her and that we all witnessed you attack her on my land. So again I say with the power that the Goddess has given me, I sentence you to death.” Alpha Athena said loud a clearing for everyone to hear.

Then she gave a small nod to her betas and carried out her orders and killed him right there. Then I knew what to do next. They had to send the body back to the South Ridge Pack three days away from here. Athena then turned to the woman who was sitting on the ground.

“You’re safe now. So please stand up and face me.” Athena said to the young girl. Then the girl did as she was told and looked at Athena, scared.

“Don’t be scared, I can see you did nothing wrong but seek me out for help and safety. I will give it to you. I just need to know how did all of you know who to find and where to find me,” Athena asked.

“Well, for most of us we prayed to the Moon Goddess for help and a safe place to live and she told us to come to you and where to find you.” The young woman said.

“What about the others?” Athena asked.

“We picked them up along the way. They need help so we brought them with us.” The young lady said again.

“Ok, I want you to form a straight line and then one at a time you will come to me so I can talk to each of you and see if I can help and that I will let you into my pack. I have to make sure this will be a good fit for all.” Alpha, Athena said.

They all did what she said and the young girl that was attacked was the first to come to Athena. She looked at the young girl over and knew what had happened to her and Athena didn’t like what she found out.

“Your name, child?” Athena asked.

“Rachal Alpha, Welcome to the Moon Goddess Pack. Please stand over there next to my beta Tony.” Athena directed her to Tony.

Then the girl walked over to Tony but kept her eye on the ground and wouldn’t look at Tony or any other male. The next one stepped up and looked her right in the eye and wouldn’t look away for a very long time. It took Athena a little while to get the young man to submit to her. Once she added some of her Alpha power to the look, the boy caved quickly.

“What is your name lad?” Athena asked

“I am Fred and I was the son of an Alpha until we were attacked and they killed everyone except for a few of us. We all scattered all over the place and they were nice enough to bring me along.” Fred explained.

“You know that is not altogether true what you just told me, Fred. The part where they picked you up and brought you here is the truth. Your father is in another state, sent here to see what I am all about. You were to find my weakness if I had any and report back to him. He was wondering if I would be a threat or not. He also wanted to know if I would make an easy target. So you can’t lie to me. You will call your father later today. Until then you will be in my jail till that time. I do not put up with this shit in my land. I am here to help those who can’t help themselves and need my protection. I am here to change the werewolf life. So have fun in jail for a little while, my dear Fred. Toby, please take him to jail. The one we just build in town for werewolves you get out of hand. He can stay there till I am ready to deal with his father.” Athena voiced.

Fred didn’t fight; he knew there was no way to win this, and it was better to go along until they talked to his father. His father was just scared and heard about the changes she was making and thought he better try to spy first then talk with her later. He knew this would not work. His father was not made up to be mean. She did this for a few more minutes until she had everyone worked through. She then Minds-link Rami to tell her to get the other counselors that they had seven people coming to talk with them. They need to be evaluated, and reports made upon each one. She wondered how many more will seek her out before her father figured this all out. That he lost on the front he couldn’t keep me from being an Alpha. He will try to start a war she knew was coming. She just didn’t know when.

“You have had a busy day. How about we go for a walk or a boat ride to relax?” Aiden asked

“That sounds nice, but I still have so much to do before I can relax. I still have paperwork to finish, and I know others will seek me out soon. We still have the Snow Moon Pack to go see.” Athena reminded him.

“Yeah and we didn’t even get to call him yet so let’s head back and get some stuff done and grab food. I didn’t get to eat before we had to come out here.” Aiden said as he was laughing.

“Ok, Let’s get some food and head to the office. I will mind-link Amy to have stuff ready for us when we get back to have her take it to the office for us.” Athena said as she took off in a run and changed as she was running. Aiden couldn’t get over how beautiful she was when she ran and how grateful she was when she changed. He hurried up and changed to catch up to her. It took a bit to catch up to her because she is fast. I arrived a little behind her at the packhouse. She just laughed and got me some shorts to put on. She was trying to figure out ways to keep short out in the woods for the pack without the tourist finding them. She was doing so much by herself and I wondered if she was right, would an Alpha male be able to accept her as the Alpha and he is there to help, not take over. She handed me the shorts and walked inside so we could eat and get the work done that she still had to finish. I wonder if I will be this busy when I become Alpha.

“Hey, Aiden, you in there?” Athena asked.

“Oh sorry, I was deep in thought,” Aiden replied

“I could tell. Do you want to talk about it?” Athena asked.

“No, I’m ok, what do you want to start on first?” Aiden wondered.

“I will call the other pack and set a time to go see them. You can start on this pack of paperwork that has to do with setting for job hiring and insurance for the zipline and boating business.” Athena said.

“How is it I get this stuff and you get a phone call?” Aiden asked.

“You said you didn’t want to make a phone call and wanted to see how I would handle it,” Athena replied while laughing at the look on Aiden’s face.

“Athena we have a problem at the clinic. I scare one of the new wolves and going into a fit she isn’t all wolf.” Rami, mind-linked.

“On, my way. Don’t upset her any more than she is and keep everyone at bay. Did anyone get hurt?” Athena asked through mind-link.

“No, I was just knocked down when I tried to do her evaluation on to see where she would fit in the pack. I think I might have set her off somehow.” Rami replied.

“Aiden stay here and get all that started please I need to run over to the clinic and help Rami for a minute. Thank you so much.” Athena said as she ran out the door.

She walks into the clinic and sees the woman is a hybrid of wolf and bear and an interesting combination. I have never heard of this hybrid; I had to figure out how to reach them.

“Rami what is her name?” Athena mind-linked.

“Tami and she is confused because she just started sifting a week ago. Her parents told her she would only be one or the other, no one expected them to combine and make her a Hybrid.” Rami replied through mind-link

“Tami honey, I need you to take deep breaths so we can get this under control. No one here will hurt you. We just need you to chill and talk to us about what is going on inside you so I can help you learn to control this. So come on, take deep breaths in and slowly blow them out,” Athena said in a soothing voice.

Tami followed what Athena was telling her to do. It was working, and she was coming back into her human form. Rami grabbed some clothes for her and was so scared and worried, she got dressed and sat back down.

“Ok Tami, tell me what happens so I can help.” Athena talked in a soothing tone.

“My father is a black bear shifter and my mother is a wolf. They thought I would be one or the other but when I became the hybrid it scared everyone that we lived around so they asked me to leave for the safety of the others and myself. They were afraid that my mother’s alpha would want to kill me since I was both and had no control yet. So, I asked the moon goddess for help and she sent me here. Can you help me?” Tami asked.

“If the Moon Goddess sent you to me, then yes I can help. She will not send me someone that I can’t help. I guess we will need to see which side is more dominant and what you gained from both so we can work to see how to control this. We will start in the morning. But the bear part may not want to submit and be part of the pack like your wolf part. So that may be the only problem we really have. I will have to do some checking on that for you. Is that ok Tami?” Athena asked.

“Yes, I like the people I have met so far here. They have already treated me better than back home. Thank you, Alpha,” Tami replied.

“Your welcome Tami Rami here will help you to your living space and get you ready for being part of the pack,” Athena said

Athena was on her way back to the packhouse when she was called to the Northern gate this time. When she arrived at Toby and Lee was there waiting for her. There were twenty more wolves standing outside their border.

“Get more of our pack warriors here just in case. Have everyone on alert in case we need to get the women and children inside. I will find out what they want, but like any of them have said anything yet?” Athena asked.

“I already did all of that when I knew you were on your way here. No, they just stopped there and haven’t moved,” Lee replied.

“Hello, fellow werewolves. I am Alpha Athena, What brings you all to my territory?” Alpha Athena voiced out

One wolf transformed into human form and then put on some shorts and a shirt, then stepped forward to talk.

“We come in peace, we mean your pack no harm. We are from all over and joined to come here looking for you. Some of us are on the run from our old packs and others are rogues by their choice. There are a few that didn’t say why they were heading this way to you, they kept to themselves. We come to join your pack if you will have us.” The man said.

“I knew more of you would come, I just wasn’t sure when. I will need you all to form a line and I will test each one to see if you will be a good fit for my pack or if my pack is what you need. I have friends in other packs that will take you if my pack is not the fit for you. So please don’t worry, you will have a home.” Athena said.

They all made a line, and she did the evaluation until the last four. It scared them to come to her. It was a family, and they weren’t wolves at all. They were something else and she could tell but not sure what they were.

“Toby takes these wolves and gets them set up at the clinic for their evaluation with rami and the others so we can get them homes and then tell Tim to make plans to build some apartments and more houses, please. I need to talk to the family with very little people around.” Alpha Athena said.

“Yes, Alpha,” Toby did as she asked and took some guards with him and escorted the new wolves to the clinic.

“There is no need to be scared. I will not hurt you. I need you to talk to me and give me some information, please. That is the only way I will help,” Alpha Athena said.

The father steps forward while the mother and the two children stayed back. They looked scared and like they just got away from something or someone.

“Alpha, we are not wolves but we wish to join your pack. Our pack as you call it was attacked, and we just made it out alive. We say we live in groups, but it is a pack of Gorillas. My family and I are Gorilla shifters. We pledge our loyalty to you for letting us join. There was the talk of an Alpha Female Wolf wanting to make changes and we hoped that we could be a part of that group before they attacked us would contact you to form an alliance with you. But the hunters came and attacked and killed our alpha. We were out on a family thing when we heard the attack. I ran back to help, but it was too late and I heard them coming after me so I got my family and we ran. I figured it would be harder to find us if we mixed with other shifters till we could find you.” The man said.

“I can tell you are telling me the truth and the Moon Goddess is the mother of all Supernatural creatures, some of us forget that. Yes, you may join my pack. I would like all of you to see Rami and only her. I will let her know that she is the only one out of my councilors to speak with you. You will join and see where you fit, the children may attend school and there are jobs here. So if their sounds good and your willingness to help the pack we will help you in return. At the joining ceremony, tell the pack what you are and I will let them know I approve of you here. I have hybrids, so why not gorilla? Welcome to the Moon Goddess Pack.” Alpha Athena said she led them to the clinic and had a talk wit h Rami and then called a meeting with all her high-ranking officers.
