So Many Questions

The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 5: Return of The Mandalorian brings a couple of things to ponder to the Star Wars fanbase, including a look at what Din Djarin, The Mandalorian, has been up to since Luke took Grogu away. Fans will be excited about what this means for both, The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian. Both series are outstanding and leave fans wanting more. Fans anxiously anticipate season 3 of The Mandalorian with a possible return of Grogu and ask questions about what could happen in future episodes. With those curiosities come questions about Boba Fett's intentions. The questions stem from Boba Fett's intention to grow his criminal underworld on Tatooine.

Fennec Shand's comment at the end of The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 5: Return of The Mandalorian leads into, I think, what's to come for Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, and Djin Djarin. Fennec Shand commented when Din asked why Boba Fett wanted his help. She stated, "We need muscle." This exchange of words, although brief, leaves a lot to speculate. Remember, Boba Fett and Fennec Shand took rule of the Tatooine criminal underworld. Boba Fett has already thwarted some attempts to assassinate him, which would have allowed the mayor, the Pykes, or the Hutt cousins to take over the rule in Tatooine. But, what about Din's concern for Grogu. When Din Djarin agrees to help Boba Fett and Fennec Shand, he mentions he must take care of one small item first. This leaves the fanbase to wonder if he was thinking about Grogu, which makes a lot of sense.

What does this mean for The Mandalorian? In The Book of Boba Fett, there was a hint that Grogu may still be a concern for Din Djarin. The armorer tied a cloth bag that looked quite similar to Grogu's head. This cloth bag was filled with beskar forged from the spear that. Din Djarin also had trouble controlling the darksaber of Mandalore, which he acquired by defeating Moff Gideon. The armorer provided him with some training, but he could not handle the darksaber because he was unworthy.

In Star Wars Rebels, Sabine trains with Kanan Jarus to control the darksaber. One of her comments was, "The blade feels lighter." This comment aligns with what Din Djarin felt while fighting with it. As Din continued to train with it, the heavier it got. Din Djarin even burnt his leg with the darksaber because he could not wield it effectively. After Sabine felt that the darksaber was easier to handle (felt lighter), Kanan commented, "You're connecting with it. It's becoming a part of you". This leaves the notion that to fight with the darksaber, you must learn to connect with it and not resist its power.

Since Kanan was a Jedi who trained Ezra Bridger in Star Wars Rebels and trained Sabine with the darksaber. Would it not make sense for Luke Skywalker, a Jedi Master, to train Din Djarin? Hence, the reunion of Grogu and Din Djarin. Who knows more about connecting with sabers and sensing others than Luke Skywalker? It is questions like this that the fanbase is wondering and, let's say, hopes for. Knowing Luke is supposed to train Grogu, where does Grogu fit in season 3 of The Mandalorian? Din Djarin needs to learn more about the Mandalorian's history and culture from Bo-Katan. These answers could come in the next season of The Mandalorian.

Grogu has ties with Mandalorians now since his ventures with Din Djarin. Training with Luke could indirectly make Grogu a Mandalorian Jedi. Din Djarin did tell Grogu at the end of The Mandalorian Chapter 16: The Rescue, "I'll see you again. I promise." All the mentions that Din Djarin made hinted at seeing Grogu again leave us to believe that Grogu will be reunited with Din Djarin one day. We just don't know when for sure. Besides, Disney has spent a lot of time and money on Grogu merchandise. The timeline leaves things open to speculation of where Grogu fits in.
