The Book of Boba Fett is in full swing with Episode 4 having just premiered as of this writing and Episode 5 on the horizon. Things are definitely heating up for everyone’s favorite former bounty hunter and bigger changes appear to be on the way. Ming-Na Wen, who plays Fennec Shand in the series, suggests that the show could have a major revelation or game-changer at the end of the season. She also believes that this revelation could change the way fans see the entire series, and it could allow fans to re-watch the series in a brand new light.

Recently, Wen sat down with Radio Times to talk about the show, she was asked how she wanted fans to feel when the show finished. She replied;

“I really hope that they want to go back and see the whole thing over again in a different light after, you know, knowing how things have - - I’m careful with my words here, how things have evolved, and all these other elements that have come into play.”

She is definitely being extremely careful to avoid spoilers, but it sounds like the finale of the season will feature a huge change or revelation that will reframe what fans originally thought about the show. That could be a huge plot twist or just a major event that alters the Star Wars universe as we know it.

Wen went on to speak about what it was like to work with both Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni,

“You know, that’s what's so great with [producers] Jon [Favreau] and Dave [Filoni]. They are so knowledgeable about this world, about 'Star Wars', and they’re such huge fans that they know how to set up the pieces and make moves that you don’t even know are coming… And then suddenly it’s like [claps her hands together] ooh, checkmate. So yeah, we’re waiting. We’re waiting for that win. We’re waiting for that hit. And not just ’til the very last episode, like each and every episode there’s new moves and new elements that come into play that hopefully will surprise the fans. I know it surprised me.”

It definitely sounds like Filoni and Favreau have big plans for the series, and hopefully, they have plans for many many more seasons of the show. If what Ming-Na Wen says is true, the finale of this show could change the way fans think of Boba Fett going into the future of Star Wars. Hopefully, it is for the better and not for the worst. However, as Wen said, Filoni and Favreau have a deep understanding of the material, and they are both fantastic storytellers in their own way. They have given us some of the best Star Wars stories of all time. Plus, Robert Rodriguez is directing, and he is an enormous Star Wars fan, with a style befitting Boba Fett. Things seem to be promising for the series.

Ming-Na Wen was first introduced into the Star Wars universe back in Season 1 of The Mandalorian. She has since appeared in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, and now The Book of Boba Fett, becoming a fan-favorite character, due in no small part to Wen's fantastic portrayal of the character. Hopefully, we will get to see more of her in future Star Wars projects and hopefully more seasons of The Book of Boba Fett. Both her and Temuera Morrison are fantastic in the show, and it would be amazing to get to see them continue to work together. The show is kicking into high gear, and this is only the tip of the iceberg, judging from Wen’s statement. It will be interesting to see if her thoughts are correct.
