“Most people think time is like a river that flows swift and sure in one direction, but I have seen the face of time and can tell you they are wrong. Time is like an ocean in a storm. You may wonder who I am and why I say this. Sit down, and I will tell you a tale like none that you have ever heard.”

A young man was on his way to a cave where a Dracolich had made it's way. For the average warrior soloing a Dracolich would be foolish, but alas this was no average warrior. This is the Arch Paladin Heatray! His silver and blue broadsword and the power to harness light itself were more than enough. He crouched at the cave entrance and carefully made his way in. After a few minutes he saw the beast resting. It was at alone for it had a rider. Heatray assumed this was either a Necromancer who had simply taken control of a dragons corpse or an undead who had been paired with the beast by someone or something more powerful. Heatray knew that his job would be far easier if he could kill the rider first so he would only have the Dracolich to worry about, but he didn't know how strong this enemy was. He would have to gamble. Heatray focus light itself into a javelin and aimed it at the rider's head. If he was lucky this would be a killing blow as Heatray was decently powerful. He stopped his breath, steadied his muscles, and started a three second countdown in his head. One... Two... And on Three he launched the light javelin with all his power. A direct hit. The rider went down, but now knowing if this would kill Heatray took the opportunity to strike them both a powerful spell. "SACRED LIGHT BARRAGE!" He put his hands up and fired several balls of holy light. The cave lit up as if a solar flare went off. When the dust cleared, Heatray saw that the rider was completely destroyed and the beast was wounded. He then leaped on top of the Dracolich and after covering his enchanting his sword with light energy and swung at the beast with all his might. He cut off the beast's wings and was about to land the final blow and it jumped into the cave ceiling, knocking loose some rocks that hit Heatray. Luckily his armor protected him, but he has to end this now Just then a giant light arrow struck the Dracolich and obliterated his skull. A girl wearing black and green hunting attire walked into view. "Sorry for stealing your kill, but you could have invited me. You can't hog all the fun you know?", Poison stated. Heatray, happy to see his best friend responded, "Sorry. I'll remember to bring you next time." She rested her hand on his shoulder and replied, "You better. Now come on. I'll walk with you back to the castle. Oh hey isn't tomorrow-" Heatray interrupts, "The day I become a Paladin Highlord!" They both jump with excitement. Poison gave her friend as tight a hug as she could manage. "Well you can bet I'll be there to see you earn your new title." Heatray returns the gesture and the two turn around to go home. "Thanks. I couldn't have come this far without your help." The two then share a fist bump and race each other to the kingdom.
