The Most Fun Option When Encountering An Alien Being

Deciding the best course of action for encountering extraterrestrial life.

When you look at comic book characters, particularly characters from other worlds, do you notice how they all have attractive features similar to that of humans? This is particularly true of the female characters. Ever wondered why?

The sexualization of the characters aside, which is done because comic books traditionally were a product marketed to young boys and eventually adolescents hitting puberty, makes one wonder what they would do if faced with one of these extraterrestrial creatures. While it is 2023, and many in the world now openly accept the possibility of aliens, with only slightly fewer believing aliens have visited Earth, what would be the limitations of your interactions with them?

Fear might come up, whether you believe in aliens or not. How accepting are you going to be of your first experience with an alien? We have, after all, been raised on movies, stories, and comic books suggesting that not all of them would be the friendly superheroes our imaginations hope they would. Some may come to Earth to do us harm.

Would you be the type to run from the encounter, fleeing through the woods as you look over your back? What if you accidentally scream like a five-year-old schoolgirl? That would be embarrassing.

Curiosity would be a healthy response to an alien encounter. Why wouldn't you be curious? The first encounter a lifeform from another world is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and until that point, something you might not have imagined would happen.

The questions that would arise in most minds are endless, so if you're the curious type, here's the chance to discover something about the galaxy that you wouldn't otherwise learn. Where are they from? How long did it take to get here? What kind of food do they eat? Why did they come? There are so many possibilities that it boggles the mind.

While it wouldn't be advisable, considering the technological capabilities of an advanced race that could get to Earth from such great distances, some ponder that people might confront the aliens should they show themselves. Why? What would we have to achieve other than showing ourselves as the primitives we are?

In no science fiction movie ever written did we do well by confronting an alien race. Typically, we are attacked and respond with the force we can muster. Confronting them with military force or weapons that are far from what might come from another world would certainly prove to be a poor idea.

Would you try to become friends with the alien, such as Elliott and his siblings did in E.T.? That seems like a much smarter idea if you hope to survive the encounter. Particularly if the encounter doesn't start out hostile.

Say hi. Offer them something to drink. Strike up a conversation if they understand our language, and explore what they are after by coming to Earth. The idea of an intergalactic encounter should start off peacefully and stay that way until our visitors give us reason to be alarmed.

Aliens come to Earth and settle. What then? Or what if you are whisked away aboard one of their ships and taken to their world? What would your course of action be?

Depending on the alien, and their personality, and their relative appearance, might you consider them someone special after you get to know them? Maybe you'd develop affection for your new alien neighbor, or your galaxy-hopping captor as the case may be.

When it comes to relationships with other intelligent life, such as visitors from another world, there is one final option and it's the most intriguing one of all.

How about a little interplanetary erotica? Perhaps seducing your way through the encounter is the way to go. Laying the groundwork for better relations could lead to a peaceful coexistence between the planets. One could suggest that you go full-on James T. Kirk and go where no man, or woman, has gone before.

I don't know if it would be doable, but I've certainly had my eye on that blue chick from Avatar.

Where would you draw the line?

Well, I would totally invite them into my house first. Hopefully they like beer because I would need a few of them. And as long as they were alright with me asking a few million questions, we could spend as much time together as they like. But I could be the only one they wanted to hang with, lol. Too many people would spoil the welcome. Inquisitive article Jason. My kind of topic! thank you!

  • Great questions & sound suggestions. And that green one up above ain't too bad, either. (I kept of thinking James T. Kirk when you mentioned erotica, lol.)

  • I immediately thought of James T. Kirk when reading the opening. LOL! I doubt I would get close enough to an alien to check out its sensual side. Still, I can appreciate a wondering mind. 🤔
