'Star Wars' Canon vs. Legends: Han Solo
Han Solo is the favorite of many fans in the Star Wars universe. And after the original Star Wars trilogy, it makes sense that the many Star Wars fans wanted to see more of him, to see both where he came from and what happened to him. Over the years, many stories about Han have come out, but with the Disney purchase of Lucasfilm, the old canon literature was exiled into “Legends.” And subsequently, we have seen the Solo film come out to shore up the canon material where Han came from. But there are still some great Han stories in Legends, which have some great similarities and vast differences, from Han in canon.

We have even gotten a holiday special, and we are about to get another one of those very soon, though it will be a bit different from the one that came out last year.

How The High Republic Jedi Handled Older Force-Sensitive Students
It is no secret that Force-sensitive children are eligible to undertake training to become Jedi only if it begins at a very young age, something which was highlighted in The Phantom Menace when Qui-Gon Jinn presented Anakin Skywalker to the Jedi Council as having immense potential. Despite Anakin eventually becoming an exception, the general rule was a strict one in the Galactic Republic era. However, in the age of the High Republic, the Jedi used to take an alternative approach towards such children. This topic was a central theme in Issues 1-5 of Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures, opening up the discussion of whether the Anakin's training predicament would have changed should his situation be normalized as in the High Republic.

Remembering When Carrie Fisher Brutally Roasted George Lucas
When the tragic passing of the much beloved Carrie Fisher was announced back in December 2016, the entire world went into mourning. Although she was best known for her role as Princess Leia in Star Wars, she was also a wonderful human being who was always up for a laugh and didn't take life too seriously, brightening up every room she entered. I remember the moment my phone gave me the notification of the news and feeling completely sad even though I obviously didn't know her personally. That's the effect she had on her fans.

Dark Secrets Hidden Inside Mustafar
Mustafar, the world where Darth Vader was born... The planet has always had an air of legend in the galaxy far, far away. The same is true in the real world from an out of universe perspective as well. Star Wars fans have known about its existence for a long time even before the prequel trilogy. The Return of the Jedi novelization detailed how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader on an unnamed lava planet. Many wondered just what this place was. What were the great mysteries of this planet? Just what made the place that turned Anakin into Vader so special. Well, the planet Mustafar has a bit of history to it beyond its connection to the Dark Lord of the Sith. It is a very fantastical planet that Star Wars has chosen to develop beyond what was depicted on film.

Wedge Antilles, The Unsung Hero Of The Rebellion
It might be a headscratcher to casual viewers of the Star Wars films if one were to acknowledge Wedge Antilles as a hero of the Rebellion. He may not be Luke, Han, Leia, Lando, Chewie, Artoo, or Threepio, but he is present in all three films of the original trilogy, during which is is instrumental in the major battles. Despite being a side character, he is a familiar face who essentially becomes an underdog to root for.

Rumor: ‘The Mandalorian’ Will End After Season And Be Replaced With This New Show
Disney Lucasfilm's hit live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, concluded its stellar second season in December 2020. Its spin-off show, The Book of Boba Fett, will fill in the gap until the release of its third season some time in 2022. Originally started in 2019, The Mandalorian introduced fans to a faceless Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, who roams the Outer Rim collecting bounties approximately five years after the events of Return of the Jedi. The show's premiere episode takes him on a major detour as he is assigned to track down, and deliver an alien child to a mysterious client. He delivers this to an apparent member of the late Jedi Master Yoda's species to the client. However, he becomes concerned about the motives of the client toward the child, and decides to flee with the child. By the end of the first season, his bounty hunting ways change as he is now tasked with the responsibility of returning this Force-sensitive child to the Jedi. The second season ends with him finally fulfilling this task, and leaving him open to new adventures. As theories and speculations arise about Book of Boba Fett and the third season of The Mandalorian, rumors have come out concerning changes the show might undergo in season 4 and beyond.

‘Darth Vader’ Comics Suggest Crimson Dawn Was More Successful Than The Sith
SPOILER ALERT FOR DARTH VADER #15 Revenge seems to have been Maul’s prime motivation through all these years. When he was cut in half on Naboo by Obi-Wan Kenobi, his hatred and desire for revenge kept him alive. A decade later, he wanted revenge on his former master, who had seemingly tossed him away and taken on a new apprentice to take over the galaxy. Over time, Maul’s strategy changed and evolved. The most recent Marvel’s Darth Vader #15 shows that the former Sith Lord has come to rely on power by numbers, quite in contrast to the Sith’s Rule of Two.
