Tick. “Damn clock…” Once again I found myself in that same hallway. It's seemingly never-ending rows of foggy windowpanes shifted in and out of the corners of my eyes as I continued my anxious gait down the red-carpeted floors. These hallways were so long. Like instances and stretches of life. Hours flowed like seconds here. I was used to it by now, this dream had been with me since my father’s condition had gotten worse. I had become accustomed to gazing into these windows. I would stand there for what seemed like a lifetime in this dream watching the events play out before my eyes. Lives, people, things I knew, things past, and things to come, things that could have been, and things that will never be. My timeline stretched across this maze of windows.
Tyler FernandezPublished 6 years ago in FuturismReview of 'Westworld' 2.17
Lots of powerful, profound, more or less scrutable threads in Sunday's Westworld 2.7, but the one I'd like to focus on, just a tad more than the others, is Maeve vs. Delores.

"Today, the Alpha project surpasses the Beta 2.0, as the United Global Fronts chief A.I. Despite protest from the people's front of global unity Alpha will, unlike its predecessor, not only connect the global residential districts, it will for the first time link all districts to relevant special response units and help regulate all known registered generating districts. This will, our lords say, create a global link, allowing automatous control of everything the general consumerist will need. Security, health, comfort and care will all be handled by Alpha who will simultaneously help Beta 2.0 to share this workload while also improving its systems. In other informative insights..…."

Lots of important time-traveling things happened on The Crossing 1.9 last night, the last episode before the two-hour series finale this coming Saturday night (maybe season finale, if ABC comes to its senses, see a little more about this below).

Magical recipes or spells that are found in books or from other sources generally have a very broken down step-by-step execution of the spell in question, although sometimes we might be missing some ingredients, or even do things in our way that is not necessarily how it would be described in the spell. They might be including the invocation of a deity that we don't necessarily follow, but we still need to light that shit on fire and perform that spell, because, you know, we might want that money to come in, or change a situation in any way.
'Doctor Who': Revisiting 'The Deadly Assassin'
"The Deadly Assassin." It's the story that changed Doctor Who forever. Coming nearly half-way through its original run, it was the story that forever altered the show and its mythology. Writer Robert Holmes (along with producer Philip Hinchcliffe and the production team) crafted four episodes that remain among the most watched and talked about it in the history of the show. Looking at the story, it's not surprising.

Don't get me wrong I think Ron Howard put in some great work into making a great Star Wars story after Phil Lord and Chris Miller were taken off the project. I think there is much to be said about the work that they started on and I felt like a lot of the reshoots were done to eliminate some of the comedic dialogue and made the writing feel kind of awkward to me.
John WalkerPublished 6 years ago in FuturismGlobal Warming: We Have Only Been Dangerous to Ourselves
Our human activity is why the things we figured would take a million or so years to begin, are happening right now. It is cause and effect. Yes, I am talking about global warming. Human beings have kind of hurried along the natural process of global warming. We consume everything on our planet. Being at the top of the food chain has its drawbacks. We have littered every mountain and body of water we get into. We have ripped up the land to farm and mine, for nutrition and wealth. We leave tons upon tons of our human waste everywhere. Just think of angry monkeys locked in a cage. We even make some of our hills with poop!
Lady SundayPublished 6 years ago in FuturismOrbis - Brief History Chapter 4
The term “Ari” is used to describe all elves. The term itself is a key word in the history of Orbis that represents the importance of magic and knowledge throughout the world. Draoix, the God of Magic, is often depicted as the Father of the Ari; Elves put this God above the chief deity Domini. The word Ari originates from the ancient Mystari Empire, where the elves were referred to only as Ari, whilst the men and beast folk were less than. Ari was a word of meaning, a title that depicted that of usefulness and resource. The Ari were slave soldiers. Auxiliaries, if you may. Some Ari were even given representation in the Mystari Empire. It was this reason that the elves adopted this title after the fall of the Mystari Empire. The Mystari used it to describe themselves. Why shouldn’t they? After all, they overthrew their masters. They deserved it. Names such as Galari translated to “Golden Skinned Elf” or illumari meaning “Glimmering white elf.”
Strange Sounds: 'Frost Quakes'
What is that strange sound outside? During the summer of 2009, myself and an old friend heard strange sounds at night in Niagara Falls, NY. At the time I was living in a small trailer park, with my two sons, practically across the street from the Niagara Falls Air Force Base. While my friend was visiting me, he took an evening walk. When he got back, he asked me to join him outside so I could listen to something. He didn’t say why but told me that I just had to hear what he was hearing. I stepped out, into the dark street with him, and we could hear a strange hum that was echoing all around. It sounded like electricity humming through strings of an electric guitar. It was off in the distance... somewhere from the north, I surmised. We stood there for a bit, looking up at the sky, wondering WTH?! The strange sound that night lasted for hours! There had been reports to the Niagara County Sheriff Department and had been heard a half hour away in Lockport. AND also made our two local newspapers’ front page the next day, but no source of the strange noise was found.
Lady SundayPublished 6 years ago in FuturismSecured in the Shadows
The 8th Day The man and the woman walk hand in hand through the primeval forest. The larger leaves of the foliage glow as if the light permeating through them is their own, but it is the light of day beaming brightly through the shadows, throwing iridescent glints and golden rays upon them.
