I Don't Understand Why Belief Is Required To Get To Heaven

I Don’t Need People To Believe In Me, So Why Does God Need It

Belief. Faith. BLIND FAITH!

These are things that I have a hard time understanding.

Why is belief so important to an omnipotent being?

Why is faith seen as a virtue?

And how is BLIND FAITH so moral and upright?

Belief is not good, nor is it bad; it just is a feeling that, if left unchecked, can cause millions of people to do immoral acts because they BELIEVE what they do is just.

Not to beat this horse, but this example always seems to hit a chord with people…

Million of nazi soldiers BELIEVE in Hitler’s ideology.

So much so that they slaughtered MILLIONS of people.

Kids. Women. Men.

The same could be said about the Japanese Empire and how they slaughtered millions in Asia because they BELIEVED they were the superior race.

Belief is not always good.

Although I do think it has its value, however, only inside of oneself.

Belief outside oneself is not hard to do, and I dare say it is one of the easier things to do in life, which is why I think so many people try and make it a virtue.

Faith, I find it equally annoying, and BLIND FAITH is just ludicrous.

The idea to follow something without any evidence and based solely on your “feelings” is absurd.

This is what caused people to perform the witch trials, what caused people to sacrifice others so that the sun could come up, what allowed(s) for slavery to go on for so long, what has allowed people to rape and get away with it because “the devil made me do it.”

Faith in things you cannot see or cannot validate with a test is nonsense — and it makes me question why this is so important to a loving, caring, omnipotent, omnipresent, benevolent being that we call “Gawd.”

And the answer is, I don’t think belief if “Gawd” does exist means a damn thing to it.

But it does to the people who are manipulating their herd of sheep.

Why Is Belief A Prerequisite To Get Into Heaven?

If you visit different nations, you will find that all cultures have their belief system.

However, the feeling of “belief,” having “faith,” and being a “blind follower” is UNIVERSAL in all of these religions.

Why?

Because belief is a great way to cash in on people’s hope.

And this is what it comes down to.

HOPE is what causes people to believe, have faith, and be blind followers who are EAGERLY and DESPERATELY willing to follow someone to “The Promise Land.”

“Hope. It is the quintessential human delusion. Both the source of your greater strength and your greatest weakness.” — The Architect, The Matrix

Most people, for the most part, are terrified of leading their own life. And as a result, they will gleefully place their life and responsibility for their “eternal soul” in the hands of other people.

They genuinely are sheep looking for a shepherd.

And I mean this NOT in a derogatory way, but in a way that speaks the truth.

Even in many Judeo religions, followers are often called sheep — and I wonder why????????

If “Gawd” exists, the idea that something that POWERFUL needs MY belief in it, for it to exist…is silly.

Some people don't need others to believe in them for them to accomplish their goals.

So why would a “Gawd” need belief from such small, petty, irrational, weak, barely conscious beings in the world?

What sense does any of that make?

We barely know anything about life and reality.

We barely have belief in ourselves and humanity.

What the hell is our belief in a being so astronomically powerful supposed to do to it.

It’s like saying an ant believing you are a great human being makes your existence feel any better.

It wouldn't.

And the idea that “Gawd” needs my belief is just as comical and nonsensical.

If there is a “Gawd,” I am almost certain it would not care that people did not believe in it.

Because if you believe the stories, it has been here forever and will be here long after everything ends.

So again…

What the hell is my belief suppose to do to it, and why is it even important to get to “heaven” (assuming that even exists).
