Doctor Who, famous for it's iconic time traveling police box, has been on and off our screens for nearly fifty-five years now and has progressively been building its audience up even more since the revival in 2005. The hit BBC Science-Fiction show follows the life of the Time Lord from Gallifrey - The Doctor, who is usually accompanied by a companion, or two, or three, or more!

Since Doctor Who began back in 1963, we've been introduced to fourteen different faces (yes, I just included Sir John Hurt) of the Time Lord as the Gallifreyan has the ability to regenerate when his/her body is damaged or dying. The First Doctor, played by William Hartnell, kicked off the show on November 23rd 1963, and now we're on the Thirteenth Doctor, played by Jodie Whittaker, the show's first ever female Doctor.

However, Doctor Who isn't just famous because of the TARDIS and the Doctor. Throughout the fifty-five years, the Doctor has battled a fellow Gallifreyan on multiple occasions. Yes, of course I'm talking about the wonderful but deadly Time Lord, the Master! Like the Doctor, the Master has the ability to regenerate when he/she needs to. The first actor to portray the Master was Roger Delgado and most recently played by Michelle Gomez, the show's first female incarnation of the Master. Gomez departed the show in 2017, leaving a space open for a fresh show. But who could replace her?

Despite Gomez's excellent version of the Master, it's time to have the character regenerate back into a male, but what if the next incarnation of the Master was to be portrayed by Singapore born actor Ramon Tikaram?

Tikaram, a British stage and screen actor, is famous for multiple television appearances, including BBC's EastEnders & Primeval, HBO's Game of Thrones, ITV's Midsomer Murders, and has most recently appeared in BBC's Death in Paradise. But it appears Tikaram never seems to get off lightly in anything he appears in, as his characters usually end up... well... dead. On the other hand, this makes him suitable for the role of the Master, because if and when Tikaram decides to leave Doctor Who, his character can die like normal, but at least he can regenerate.

The ex My Spy Family actor has previously said he is a fan of Doctor Who and would actually like to play the Doctor at some point in the future. But, he expressed that fans need to 'embrace the female Doctor' first before he can take on the role. Although, Tikaram has said he knows Jodie Whittaker personally and knows that she is going to nail the role as expected, despite the uproar about her casting.

Tikaram, who has just finished filming in Glasgow for an upcoming four part BBC Drama, has the evil bad boy but elegant voice like Delgado to take on such a heavy and important role of the Master. I mean, don't cross him when he's angry. Even the Doctor knows that. Not only that, Tikaram has the eager, exciting, and tense personality, as well as looks to take on the jaw-dropping character full of surprises. An evil smile, perhaps?

We know that new showrunner, Chris Chibnall (responsible for the award winning crime-drama Broadchurch) has some new and fresh ideas up his sleeves (a female Doctor being one of them), so who knows what else Chibnall has up his other sleeve that could surprise us.

Alan Cumming has recently revealed he has a role as a "bad boy" villain in the upcoming Series 11, as does Not Going Out star, Lee Mack. Is Doctor Who fan Tikaram keeping a huge secret and has been filming the science-fiction show as the Master in secrecy, as well as the other BBC drama? We'll soon find out when Jodie Whittaker makes her first full debut in October.
