Kathleen Kennedy Determined to Hire More Women For Future 'Star Wars' Projects
For much of the amount of time that the Star Wars franchise has been around, the roles of women in regards to the live-action stories has not been as plentiful compared to men in these stories and working on these stories. Sure, from the beginning, we had Leia, who is a strong character. But over the course of the original trilogy, her role was lessened, and this pattern would be repeated in the prequel trilogy with Padme Amidala, who is shown to be strong but then has very little to do in her third film. Return of the Jedi saw the whole slave Leia situation, and the revelation that she is Luke's sister does not pay off in that film. In fact, it does not pay off until The Last Jedi, when we finally get to see Leia use the Force. Even with her limited role in The Rise of Skywalker, it was great to see her as Rey's master. On that note, recent years have seen an increase in the role of the female characters.

"The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural." This quote was spoken by Sheev Palpatine / Darth Sidious in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, and he repeated it in Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. As obvious as it may have been for a while, it seems that we can firmly place Force lightning in this category, especially considering that a new book from DK, simply titled The Star Wars Book, says as much. A Twitter user with the handle @OldManBlinks shared pages from the book, including a section titled "Unlimited Power: The Sith Order." This particular section includes the following:

Captain Rex is a fan favorite when it comes to Star Wars animation. He was introduced in the 2008 animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and went on to be a main character of the series, even making it to the series finale that aired earlier this year. During the gap between seasons 6 and 7, we had another animated series called Star Wars Rebels, and Rex returned in that series, aiding the Ghost crew and being a helpful hand for the Rebel Alliance.

Have you ever wondered what it would look like if Din Djarin, The Mandalorian himself, wielded the Darksaber? It is no secret that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was a polarizing film. Expectations for the release schedule of Star Wars films has certainly changed in the years since Disney bought Lucasfilm. Before The Force Awakens came out, fans were made aware of the fact that there would be one new Star Wars movie each year, with standalone films coming out between saga films. In 2018, however, Solo: A Star Wars Story was released less than half a year after The Last Jedi, apparently as a test to see whether Star Wars could release two films per year, similar to what Marvel and even DC have done. However, the box office numbers for Solo were not very satisfying to the higher-ups. It became clear that there would be no standalone Star Wars film coming out in 2020, as previously expected.

Culture SlatePublished 4 years ago in Futurism'Star Wars: The Mandalorian' - Din Djarin's Homeworld Name Revealed
Star Wars has such a huge galaxy with so many planets and characters that there are bound to be mysteries that have not yet been solved. Even after all these years, we do not know what the homeworlds for characters like Yoda are. In the case of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s homeworld, it took George Lucas being interviewed by Jon Stewart for us to find out that Kenobi’s homeworld was Stewjon, an obvious reference to Jon Stewart’s name. Yoda’s homeworld (as well as species name) is perhaps the biggest mystery. Naturally, this extends to the Child from The Mandalorian. However, for a while, we also have not known the homeworld of the Mandalorian himself.
