Sex in the time of COVID-19 Coronavirus Disease

Sex safety with the use of a different latex product

The world has been disconnected in the time of COVID-19 Coronavirus. The pandemic has changed the way people relate, due to quarantine, hands-free interaction and social distancing. So, what can be done about a human’s nature to desire affection, to desire touch or a warm embrace?

With no handshakes, dabs, high-fives or hugs allowed, “skin hunger” is on the rise. You may not have known the term but might have experienced it or know someone else who has experienced negative symptoms from the absence of touch. Humans have a biological need to be touched. Being starved of touch makes people feel isolated. They may become depressed, anxious and even feel dissatisfied in their relationships. We have to find a way to bring touching back, especially if we want to take things to the next level...

The CDC advises the use of face masks to provide some protection from the spread of Coronavirus. When it comes to sex during the time of COVID-19, there are ways to provide added protection to you and your partner. Latex condoms can help protect you from the spread of some STIs, STDs as well as pregnancy. However, condoms can also effectively provide a thin barrier which can contain semen that may possibly carry the Coronavirus.

Why not combine the two types of protection to make your sexual experience more safe? Wearing a cloth face mask or N95 respirator is one option for respiratory protection. However, a sexier option is a latex face mask. BDSM latex face masks may allow for kinky yet safer intimate moments with your partner.

Individuals who are no strangers to BDSM may already be familiar with various types of latex wear. From latex thongs, latex mouth gags, full face latex masks or full body latex suits, there are a number of designs, sizes and colors to suit your needs. For the BDSM beginner or someone who is not familiar with common BDSM products, a half face latex mask is ideal for bringing another layer of protection into the boudoir.

There are different styles of half face latex masks. You’ll need to choose a mask that covers your nose and mouth, not the half face latex mask that covers your eyes leaving the mouth exposed. That type of latex mask is for post COVID coitus.

Some half face latex masks come with an outer layer of latex and an inner layer or two of cotton. While other such latex face masks are strictly latex and rubber composites. Both are designed to form-fit your face. The benefit of wearing a latex face mask is two fold. On one hand, you and your partner are being more responsible when it comes to protecting one another. And on the other hand, you are potentially spicing things up in your sex life.

Latex face masks allow you to kiss! Kissing is definitely something you would likely shy away from during this pandemic. However, with both partners wearing a latex barrier between them, they very well may feel nice sensations of the touching of lips without the angst associated with swapping spit.

I’m not a licensed healthcare professional, I’m simply a woman with a compromised immune system who enjoys having sex with her partner. Being at greater risk if I contract COVID-19 Coronavirus Disease, my guy and I have taken extra safety precautions so we can still share intimate moments together.

It is not recommended to have sex with someone of which you do not know their health status. If you suspect you or your sexual partner may have contracted COVID-19 Coronavirus, seek out the help of a medical professional and refrain from sexual activity until you get the all clear.

This suggestion is primarily for monogamous couples who want to get intimate with less worry. So why not incorporate the use of latex face masks in the bedroom for added protection?
