There weren’t always dragons in the valley. Funny thing is, those guys weren’t even the ones to fear. If anything they feared us. Or at least the ones we masked ourselves to look like. We soon learned that trying to resemble them at close hand only harmed their understanding of the world around them. We came to help, but maybe we did more harm than good. We weren’t allowed to leave until the mission was done. So they sent the next crew in, and now we watch in awe, for they were more stronger than any of us. Now we wait.

It didn’t take long for them to play around with the tools around them. Some died going this route, some earned a name for themselves. I think the difference was those trying to be the tool vs forever using the tool. A tool can be defined as something that helps you achieve something at greater speed than that without. A tool could serve one function or multiple. Humans have all the tools they need. If you don’t know how to use the tool, it is deemed useless. A tool used too often becomes reliance. Finding too many things to fix because you have one tool that works, leaves no room for finding new tools to broaden your toolbox. The vampires fell into this troublesome thought process.

The vampires came first. They had the original view of blending in visually, to an extent. First batches have a scratch or two. They may or may not have been scaring people. Not because of the blood sucking, that was a hoax. That theory came from mosquitos. I mean where do you think they got the “ they hate garlic”came from. That’s all mosquitos too, eat garlic everyday and they will avoid you at al costs. Vampires had a real power. To hold control. How did humans catch on to this? Well, when every vampire resembles a hot topic, bad boy, band member with more groupies to count, people start to create stories. Thing about stories, someone always catches on to the truth whether they realize it or not. Like most things they were put here with good intent, but with one taste for a sour apple, you forget about the sweet ones. The bad rep came into play and wizards came in taking their sweet time to charm their way into welcoming arms. With similar features of control, theirs was more towards things around them, as appose to people. Depending on how you look at it, it can be seen as more malicious.

Imagine placing something, in front of the eyes of another, who believes signs prolong their tail? You can convince them to make turns they never would have been guided to do. And thus begun the tricksters. I’m sure you remember from mythological stories told in English class during your Othello period, but this is the version they don’t tell you in school. Wizards and witches, because my mistake, forgot to mention the witches, found themselves to breed tricksters. Their worst traits echoed the keen for monkey see monkey do and was taken seriously. Why do you think Kong scaled the windows? He saw the cleaners do it. Water that comes from shiny trees, how can you not give it a go.

The good witches had a presence that made others question themselves. Their intention was not to create disruption in self identification, but it happened. Just their walk showed more than a confidence within, it’s an acknowledgment in knowing all works in their favor. Just like most stereotypes, they didn’t actually do what most assume. They weren’t casting spells on people, making things out of thin air or even going invisible. Could they? Yes. What they did is speak their truth, what they feel is their reality, and so be it. That’s how they got their “delusional” title.

The tricksters offer to show you your dark truths. The things you hate about yourself, or the things you think are permanent in your life. You may not like it, but you actually need it. So at the end of the day, they may be annoying, but they’re low-key beneficial to have around.

I could list more, but i’m sensing you have already forgotten who I am. Or at least the desire to ask. I won’t be playing history teacher much longer. Let me introduce myself. Im a Fara. Not Fairy. A Fara. You’ll catch me by the water. I collect projections, tear drops, and hesitations. My form blends in with beauty with a questionable detachment to the sociable name. My appearance is only when needed. I was sent to protect by lending a hand, a hand you cannot forever hold on to. We are seen as pain, in the eyes of those who don’t want to learn. We cause confusion in anger, create space for perceptions, encourage silence. We are a safe home for others, but if you wish not to build your home as your own, we must walk away. We teach beauty in emotions, but not to own them just as you can’t own a person. In this world, you cant even own art, for everyone see’s it in their own way. That is what we were sent to teach.

We needed help so they sent the Skelters.

Let’s elaborate on them shall we?

Let me tell you about a boy and his journey.

Dillon was someone who followed the routines in life that were handed to him. Complete this, do that, and his spare time was given to him. Difference between Dillion and the others, he didn’t customize his presence with jewels. If you wanted to see him, you had to hear him. His presence already caused an alluring glance, but he felt no need to sit at the table. He entered the room to gather what he needed, then he returned to home. Working on his craft as other worked on other skills. The thing about life is, we all eventually learn the same things. The order may not be the same as the one next to you. You either build with the same story and sigh in relief of someone understanding you. Or you guide as they guide you to create a new story. Once he realized who he wanted to be and took action to hold this name, he found time to create his outside appearance. Something that may change over the years, but like finding what you like to do, you have to give it a few goes. What’s after that? Relationships. Not just romantically, but with people in general. This one can be the hardest one of all. Some people people don’t even cross this path. They play the role they feel they need to, in order to get what they want. Thing about Dillion here, is he’s using the wrong guidance to get what he wants. Often people think cheat codes will help them advance. Thing about this game in life, cheat codes only work on the characters born on this earth. It doesn’t work on those sent here. Planted like seeds to test the waters. Now those seeds will be hazed, cutting weeds in the beginning, but only to result in truly understanding where the humans are coming from. This is early on, once developed they take full form and are put to work. Just like humans in school.

He desired my interaction, unaware of our designed meeting planted from over a decade ago. He failed his first interaction. Very common, for he never studied. When he failed he didn’t ask for help. Denial was born. At that point I could not give him my hand. I’m more of a one on one type of teacher, but being I have others who wish to learn, I’ll let him come to me when he’s ready.

The only hard part is keeping my power to myself. One look and he’ll break down his patterns to me in a heartbeat, but the test won’t work if he’s not willing to sit down for the test. He’s confident in what he knows, as he should, but he must be open to new teachings from those he’s not used to listening to. My first preaching caused him distraught. So he aimed to cause distraught in my step. Little did he know, that only makes his score worse. If you hand in a test with a question mark how am I suppose to know what you’re questioning. Speak with your chest, narrow down what you wish to know, and I can provide a path to step. Think of Faras as a tour guide. You get the one you pay for, but with an extra purchase you can see more than whats on the flyer. I had two options with this one. Stay afloat, near by if needed for a speech, not a hand til fully ready, or completely leave. Leaving would do nothing, another Fara would take my place or worse a vampire. Common in the areas we walk, no shame but he’d fall into their trap with no hesitation.

Dillion had one thing on his mind. He had never had it so of course it crosses his curiosity. Some don’t need to feed into the temptation, to sample before purchase. Given his circumstance I would assume he’s interested in the buffet, but who am I to judge when he’s new to this skill. To guide with investment, or watch in chaos as humans tend to desire using knowledge to their advantage instead pure development.

Think of it as psychology. There are those who look at you with suspicion when you speak of such knowledge. Fear of what you will do. Those are the ones who use knowledge for evil. To manipulate, to gain, to win power. The ones who are interested in your awareness are the ones who want to use it for good, to get what they want in a way that benefits all, not just themselves. Dillon just knew he wanted to know it, not how he was going to use it. Regardless of his decision, given where he stands, he will be using. To use, is from not have had. As had has left to not. I use what I know to teach those who do not know. Like I said, if you do not wish to know, and choose to blindly follow those who approach things to win, well, you’ll never be good at it. Those who will do anything to win, without enjoying the pace at what takes you there you have already lost. Dillon wants to win. Dillion is also is in the early stage, his mind can be persuaded. Only thing about a young mind is, instant gratification is more appealing in their eyes.

Given my site of patience, I shall wait. For now I shall work to meet his escapes. What he does to feel alive. I caught a glimpse of a reflection. I have learned to collect these. Instead of standing side by side to connect with it. I see it as calling to destinations. It will be the first thing I notice. Some are strong to where I find the world around me to be blurry. That’s the connection. You either stay face to face or you stand in front with no expectation of the other to join, secretly hoping to eventually stand side by side. Then there’s the passing. Recognizing the reflection as a flashback. The options are similar, walk away as fast as you can so you don’t get stuck in the past, or reach your hand out so they can join your present. After all the present is called a present for it’s gift in understanding it comes from changed knowledge. As I’ve said before I cant hold out my hand. We all have our weakness. Mine is touch, for my sake and yours. You will cry. So I walked.

I walked, not as fast as I could. We’re definitely on the same street. So if we end up in the same market. So be it.

Thing about humans is they came after animals. So they have very similar tendencies. How they eat, their sex drive, and bathing. As the years went on, their advancements have improved. Sex however has been seen to take 1 step forward two steps back. For the majority at least. Those who have interest in sex with you, will see that first then mental connection. However not everyone approaches it the same. Some may desire mental connection first in order to act on such sexual act. Some stick around whether that connection has matched or not. Regardless there has to be some percentage of attraction in order for that to work. Then there are people who see attraction in everyone, but have no desire to have sex unless there is a mental connection. These people see people for connections not sexual beings. Like mermaids they come off as flirty and will sell you their own soul for instant connection. Physically touchy, loves to offer help, and will stay by your side, even if you’re miles away. They welcome you into their world as if you have never been loved before. This confuses some, but mostly the ones who think connections can only occur if sex is involved at the end of the day. Once mermaids see this, touch is taken away. The way mermaids see touch is to feel alive. A Fara experiences touch like a form of communication. Your deepest secrets will pour from just a touch on the shoulder. This is why we keep our hands to ourselves til asked. Humans learned sharing stories hurt their appearance thus hurting their ego. If only they trusted the truth that that’s not the case. If you don’t know what an ego is, google it. I trust this book has made it’s way to a point in time where that Is accessible. If you’re reading this it worked. Most likely thanks to skelters, but I’d like to think we all played a role.

Oh right the skelters. The whole point of the story. They tell you their intention right off the bat. Risky in nature because humans hold it over their heads. This is where their craving for winning tendencies come in. They think it’s a cheat code, mimmic the intention to reach a level playing field, when in their mind, it’s really to get what they want and leave after consumption. Not all will do this, but many have caught on. Skelters however are aware of this, and watch it with amusement. Like they’re creating mini version of themselves, and hold back when reliance is born. That’s when they walk away. Teaching you to not be reliant on what you thought you were lacking. That’s the difference between humans and animals, humans can think outside of instincts, they can create. Our instincts are distractions fed by our surroundings. There is no answer to life, for it’s always changing. It’s how you adapt and move on to the next that levels you up. Skelters are a home away from home. How bad do you want a home? Or are you the home?
