Time Travelling in practical

Achieving time travelling in a normal day to day life

By The Real LokiPublished about a year ago 5 min read

Time travel is a concept that has long fascinated people. It is the idea of being able to travel through time, either to the past or to the future, it is a popular subject in science fiction literature and film.

There are many different ideas about how time travel might work, including the use of wormholes, black holes, and advanced technology.

Many of the concepts associated with time travel, such as the idea of a "time machine" or the ability to move backwards or forwards through time, are purely fictional and have not been proven to be feasible.

But we can achieve time dilation which is one kind of time travel without any other time travel machine. We are going to see experiments, incidents and topics that prove time can be affected and manipulated.

Time dilation:

Time dilation is defined as the time difference measured between the two clocks which are in different frames and one of them is moving with speed v with respect to another.

If an object is moving with velocity v which is nearly equal to the speed of light in a frame with respect to another frame, then this can be solved from the special theory of relativity.

1. Hafele - Keating experiment

The Hafele-Keating experiment was a test of the theory of relativity conducted in 1971 by Joseph C. Hafele and Richard E. Keating.

Joseph C. Hafele and Richard E. Keating

The experiment involved flying four cesium beam atomic clocks around the world and comparing their readings to clocks that remained at the U.S.

Atomic clock

Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C. The clocks that flew on the planes were slowed down slightly due to the effects of time dilation, as predicted by the theory of relativity.

When the planes returned, the clocks were compared to the ones that remained stationary, and the results showed that the clocks on the planes were slightly behind the stationary clocks, as predicted by the theory of relativity.

The Hafele-Keating experiment provided strong evidence in support of the theory of relativity and helped to confirm the idea that time can be affected by motion and gravity.

So, with this experiment scientist and other physicist believed that we can travel slowly in time when we travel in space.

2. Astronaut Valeri Polyakov

Valeri Vladimirovich Polyakov He is the record holder for the longest single stay in space, staying aboard the Mir space station for more than 14 months (437 days 18 hours) during one trip.

Valeri Polyakov

His combined space experience was more than 22 months.

Selected as a cosmonaut in 1972, Polyakov made his first flight into space aboard Soyuz TM-6 in 1988.

He returned to Earth 240 days later aboard TM-7. Polyakov completed his second flight into space in 1994–1995, spending 437 days in space between launching on Soyuz TM-18 and landing with TM-20,

setting the record for the longest time continuously spent in space by an individual.

Valeri has a twin brother of his same age but his brother lived on earth more than Valeri, one day they met eventually and his brother and his family members said that you look very young when compared to your brother.

This became a viral topic in between scientists, hence Valeri gave a statement that due to his long time space mission he felt that time dilation and when compared to humans living on earth those who are in space or in the ISS, the time will become slow in minimal numbers.

3. Fourth Dimension

The fourth dimension is a concept in physics and mathematics that refers to a hypothetical fourth coordinate that is perpendicular to the three familiar dimensions of space (length, width, and height).

In physics, the fourth dimension is often referred to as "spacetime," which combines the three dimensions of space with the dimension of time. Some theories in physics, such as string theory, suggest that there are eleven dimensions. However, these dimensions are not directly accessible to our senses and can be difficult to conceptualize.

4D is also referred as Tesseract.

In 3D space we have,

1. Height

2. Length

3. Width

In 4D we have,

1. Height

2. Length

3. Width

4. Time

Not making sense right, in 3d world we can travel or move in Front, back, right and left. In fourth dimension we can also move in space, there will be a separate way in 4D to travel in space.

Exciting right?

5. Ancient Time travel stories

The Story of King Kakudmi and his daughter is very famous. Kakudmi was a king . The king and the people had mystical powers. They were much more accomplished as compared to humans now. They were physically much more powerful compared to now, possessed higher level of intellect and IQ. All in all, evolved mystically to travel interstellar as well. Yes, right, interstellar travel.

Coming back to the story of the king Kakudmi. He had a pulchritudinous daughter, Revati, whom he did not find any suitable match worthy for marriage. He believed no man is worthy enough to be her husband. So, he decided to travel to Brahm lok to meet God Brahma. (Shiva, Vishnu & Brahma – trinity or trimurti of life in Hinduism. Shiva is Destroyer; Brahma is creator of Universe & Vishnu is preserver. All three work together to create, preserve and destroy to create again the Universe and let the cycle of life churn.) Once he reaches Brahm lok which was very far away from Earth, could be concluded as Inter stellar travel. God Brahma was resting when King Kakudmi reached at his place, so they waited for some time.

Later they finally got chance to meet God Brahma. The King told him that he is not able to choose groom for his daughter. There are few boys he has selected but he isn’t able to decide whom to choose. He asked for help from God Brahma in choosing a suitable match for his daughter. God Brahma laughed and told him that do you know how much time has passed on Earth since they arrived in Brahm lok. He told the King that the boys he chose to marry his daughter are no more alive and neither are alive any of the those he knew from that time as 27 Chatur Yug’s (Thousands & Thousands of years) have passed. (1 day in Brahm Lok is equivalent to 4.32 billion Earth years – Sahastra Yug Ahariyad Bhramonvida).

Brahma

He told the king that your kingdom and all its treasures have swept away from the hands of time. When they came back on earth, they saw that mankind has evolved to become less mystic and landscape has changed drastically. Thereafter, God Brahma on recommendation of God Vishnu asked him to marry his daughter Revati to Vishnu’s reincarnated avatar, God Krishna’s Brother Balram. We can firstly conclude from this that God Brahma resides at a place which has no effect of gravity and time. Secondly, we can conclude that the king and his daughter travelled ahead in time to meet God Brahma. And thirdly that they made an interstellar travel as it took such a huge time to reach to such a place.

With this ancient time travel incident, travelling faster or vaster in space for a long time will affect time for the person who travelling.

Conclusion:

We have innumerable instances of time travel (like Draupadi cheer haran episode where God Krishna saved her from getting naked), interstellar travel, use of nuclear bombs (known as Bharmastra), in our Hindu Vedas, scriptures and many more things.

Limitation of Humans

We are yet to recognize all these important evidences lying before our eyes. We need to embrace our rich cultural heritage.
