Thrill Seekers

What won't they do!

We jump out of perfectly good airplanes just to take a look around.

Leap off cliffs at the local quarry found on higher ground.

We go spelunking through caves with damp dark spaces.

Speed through hairpin turns on the track while spectators all sit and watch the races.

We run with bulls through the streets in Spain.

Some for the rush of adrenaline, and some just to feel alive, while never having to explain.

We take out our cars during the winter on lakes and frozen ponds.

Hike through woods, and rainforests building a campsite with branches and fronds.

We float through the air while doing tricks on motorcycles and skateboards.

Catching the next biggest wave while hanging ten on surfboards.

We repel into caverns and jump off waterfalls.

Some fulfilling lifelong dreams while others keep their heads in the clouds.

We all have this freedom to seek out the next adventure.

While one may become an entrepreneur, and another becomes a storm chaser.

We ride on roller coasters through corkscrews.

Hang from our feet while bunging jumping off bridges.

We go trekking through desserts and national forests.

Are we searching for inspiration or an inner peace? A euphoric feeling that puts our soul at ease.

Thrill seekers what won't they do... my mind will never cease!

But what defines a thrill seeker?

Maybe it is hidden within each of us, and some of us can never tame the beast.

The definition of a thrill after all is having a sudden feeling usually of excitement or pleasure.

So then why does everyone assume that you have to be this huge risk taker.

It can be that feeling you have when you finally get to open the treasure.

A sudden joy or feeling of exhilaration after winning the big game.

The anticipation you start to feel as you open the door, knowing the first date could be your last.

You can never know the future or change the past. But the thrills you seek will always exist.

It is in your search for golden sunsets and rushing waterfalls that share their mist.

It is ice fishing on the frozen pond in the winter or sunbathing on the beach during the warmest months of the summer.

It is taking the time to find that one thing that sets your soul on fire.

A passion, a mission, your true heart’s desire.

To rid your life of a long an agonizing cycle of boredom.

The enthusiasm that runs through one’s veins urging you to get more done.

Life is too short; we are reminded of it every day.

Why on earth would one want to work, work, work, and never have the time to play.

So, I say live life to the fullest and make unforgettable memories during these moments.

Spend time with your loved ones, not just during get togethers on holidays.

Make the most of your day. If you feel you are going the wrong way change direction.

There is not one path you must follow, and life does not come with instructions.

You do not have to live by society’s rules of 3 children, a dog, a cat, and a picket fence by the age of 24.

Life is messy, and unpredictable.

An unknown story, but what can be written may or may not ever come true.

You are the author of your own story. You determine how it gets told.

Be Bold, Be Courageous, Speak Your Truth.

Let others hate, discriminate, use, and abuse.

But remember to hold your head high as you make the time to focus on what is best for you!
