CHAPTER 1

When Fumre the Adored found me as a toddler it changed my life forever, I was orphaned. I never knew why my parents abandoned me. It wasn’t until I came into my own magickal talents that I knew why they abandoned me. The locals were always afraid of the unknown as magick seemed to die out over time. The untold arts seemed to gain as the belief seemed to grow as well. No one knew why until everyone saw dragons and the looming darkness in the air shift.

“Mama, why are people afraid of us?”

“It’s not that they are afraid of us, sweetie, they are afraid of the unknown.” Fumre spoke to me.

Dragons are shapeshifts who rescue abandoned children in the Forest of Prim.

“But you protect us, while others persecute us.”

“I know my dear, on that note I am going to change the subject because this always takes a toll on my heart.”

I could see the pain in her eyes and didn’t press.

“Mama, I want to see Tarren.”

“Of course, go have fun.”

As I walked into my room to get dressed I could hear some commotion outside my room. As I dressed for the day I could feel the turn of events shift.

“Oh god sweetie you got accepted to Beaumont Academy of Magicks.”

I could feel my excitement increase, As the shock rolled over my body, I knew anything was possible.

“Veronica? This is the best news for us. I will make a special meal when you get home this evening.”

The dragons were cursed by Zeus because of his growing jealousy for the peaceful tribe rescuing orphans from the forest of Prim.

As a toddler I got rescued from Fumre and she raised me.

After I get dressed she smiles, "you look so beautiful sweetie."

"I love you Mom."

"I love you too sweetie now go be a kid your seventeen now."

I step out of the stone cave that isn't what it appears to me. When I step out I smell fresh baked goods in the village.

Insulium Ex Future is full of surprises cloaked by the normal noticeable to the supernatural. I look at the land, the forest fast, the beach beautiful, the land of the humans full of racism and hysteria. As our numbers grow because the outside world believes in us.

How could I not be proud of this? It's not just the belief that keeps us alive, it's our god and goddess that keeps us alive, Ares, and Aphrodite.

I walk around thinking about life and how it can change in an instant.

There is a darkness, the dark Queen Primrose, and her husband King Stephen. Their sole mission is to snuff out the light for good. By doing this snuffing out the light the balance will tip only for evil.

As I keep walking I arrive in the Forest of the Lykcan's a place I am always welcome.

"Ronnie good god you are so gorgeous."

When he spoke this flattering me I wasn't sure of what to say so I nod my head and bow. I couldn't stop thinking about him lately, I am afraid to act on it.

"Hi Tarren."

He is a strapping boy with a handsome physique, light milk chocolate skin you could just lick up and down. His eyes are light deep brown pools of dark chocolate. A strong chin, and high cheekbones.

"Do you wanna go for a hike?"

"Oh yes, I would love to." My voice sounds so cheerful.

His laughter is contagious making anyone around him want to laugh instantly.

"We could walk to our spot and eat some junk food, drink, and catch up. I have something to tell you Ronnie, I got my acceptance letter to Beaumont Academy.

When he spoke these words to my body, my excitement only increased when my best friend got accepted to the elite academy of magicks. As our join increased we embraced each other. The warmth in his touch made me feel things I never had before.

"Do you want me to teleport us to our spot?"

He nods, and as I picture where I am going we soon arrive in a gust of magickal sparkle.
