There weren't always dragons in the Valley. Before their age, other formidable creatures dwelt both in dales and mounts. Some called them monsters, or gods.

Let us dive into mysterious times that even the ancients would only talk about on some rare occasions.

In order to seize the worth of these words, one needs to close their eyes and thus, open their minds. Indeed these forgotten paths of human kind’s history can only be threaded by enlightened minds that agree with a magical motto. A mantra made of two powerful words « why not »…

Now that you received one of the keys to this story let us make a few steps towards this forgotten era which is brought back to life with the magic of your open mind.

Remember to whisper the mantra from time to time, from word to word while reading this echo from the ancient times.

In the valley, humans and semi gods could cohabit according to tacit rules. From dawn to twilight rivers, forests and fields were humans’ domain. Yet, as soon as stars would light up in the evening’s air, the entire space was the semi gods’. Every single sound of the night was heard as mysterious words uttered in some unknown languages that no one dared to imitate fearing the divine beings’ rage.

Oh, do bear in mind to whisper your mantra from breath to breath. Don’t forget to murmur these words…

« Why not » is indeed more than the key to this legend. It is the name given to some impetuous inhabitants of the Northern valley. Be patient you will meet them very soon in the sacred vault of your imagination.

One night, as silvery as a lake caressed by the moon’s beam, two young adventurers changed their fate. Lilia could not bear spending all nights in awe and fear of any sound. Whilst Sahmo was tired of the never ending repetition of the days, gestures and beliefs. Their brave hearts had been burning for too many sleepless nights.

In the silence of their minds they knew that the shadows and the night owned a part of life’s secret. Lilia and Sahmo were somehow called by a superior will that urged them to explore the unknown refusing the domination of fear that had deprived them of their bliss and freedom for too long.

Thus they chose a full moon night to trespass for the very first time the tacit boundaries of the demigods’ realm.

Both Lilia and Sahmo had unusual sensory abilities. Lilia could perceive any detail of a landscape, her vision was close to extra lucidity. Sahmo would assess any sound that his ears noticed, animals, rivers, wind, had no secret. A Lynx and an Eagle dwelt within them.

At midnight, when all their fellow villagers were fast asleep they crept away from each other’s tent to meet at the forest borders, guided by the natural pathway of the brook. Had them known the consequences of these steps, one can be sure that their decision would have been the same.

At that moment, they were just moved by a powerful desire for the unknown. A fire burnt within their minds, hearts and bodies. And with a determined force they left behind a world ruled by fear and submission.

They knew a different truth was awaiting in the core of the night. Lilia whispered these words for the first time to Sahmo : « why not, my friend, what if a kind of magic had been expecting us for a long time. What if some of the demigods were waiting for us. What if...” But her words were taken away by Sahmo’s hand, that silenced her before she finished. He trusted her, and felt the very same urge to discover the unknown.

Their quiet steps softly began to resonate in the core of the night. Lilia’s red hair was caressed by the silver beams of the moon whilst Sahmo’s dark eyes were echoed by the moving shadows of the forest. The heroes’ strength was their utmost virtue to conquer the realm of the night.

Thus, with open eyes, ears and minds Lilia and Sahmo, the founders of the « why not » legend started a journey that changed humankind’s history.

They are the true heroes who paved the way to heroism, and wrote new virtues in human’s DNA forever.
