"The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window." said Elisa. " They had not been around the trail behind it for sometime."

"Why." the first child asked.

"There was a curse amongst the swamp." she replied "A curse that over took the plants, wild life and all in it. You knew when it came alive as the candle lite in the cabin. Four friends were taking a hike one day to see the forest along the trail!"

The trees turned greener, the swamp water level had grew on its on or it may seem. The four friends had turned out to be two couples. One of them Husband and wife the other one wife and wife. The couple had loved the outdoors and the time around. They became never worried until the night of the blood moon that was almost maddening. Its bright red color in appearance looked as if it would over take the night. The moon was bigger than normal. Its size seeming three times from last night.

"John!" Sarah hollered.

"Yeah, the creeks cold." He said as he was walking through it.

Ashley was off gathering fire wood. She had special skills from the army. That no one would catch on to. For seven good years she had learned their ways. There she got to meet Ylisa. Now with them getting a break from the military it was time to have some fun.

"Have you got it, yet?" Ylisa said.

"No not, yet." Ashley replied. " It's, so peaceful outside."

Ylisa was making the camp site for the night they had been on the trail all day. The creek was beautiful, too much not to make lay. The dat had been a good break from the outside life the had noticed how the vines had grabbed back on to each other as they walked through. Ashley had the firewood ready to go. Sarah and John had brought back food for the fire.

The camp site had looked nice, set up in order. The trees seemed to move in another way. The stars began to glisten after the sun finished setting. They wondered what was left to do in the night as the finished cleaning up and refilling there things to keep healthy on the trail. They had took there time, after bathing they went back and got to relax and sleep in there tents. Ashley and Ylisa was restless to the mind. They had to do something.

"Black swamp, it sounds, so strong in a way." Ashley said.

"Yeah as if it's full of mystery." Ylisa replied " Wonder why they switched its name?"

"Don't know?" she replied.

She had scrape on her leg, she wondered on how she had got it. It itched to the sight, but numbed to the turn of her head. She could feel it burning if she focused on it.

"You okay, Ashley?" Ylisa said.

"Yeah!" she replied.

They had turned around and headed back to the camp worried about John and Sarah. Ashley had hurried up and kissed Ylisa to show she was okay. They hastened back. Sarah and John had it mostly packed up the sun started to rise behind them.

"Where did you to go?" Sarah said in a mocking voice.

"Out to see the moonlight." Ylisa replied.

"Camp is almost finished you guys ready to walk again?" John said.

"Yes, we are?" Ashley had said.

The trail seemed easier today. The trees more friendly to Ashley, as if you could rest in for hours the were sharp pains in her, but its hiking and muscles build. Out of nowhere there was a holler. Ashley had opened her eyes. A vine had started to grow out of her hand and cling to the plants and trees around. Ylisa had propped on one of the stomps not Knowing where the fever had come from, now her hand, all a mess.

"What happened?" John said, as he looked amazed.

Sarah had started to try to release it from her, but it was in her under her skin coming out of her. She told them that it happened after she got cut. It had busted out of here. She slipped and tried to recover, by taking a break. She couldn't stop sweating. Ashley's leg had almost torn apart by the plant life in her, as they tried to free Ylisa. What could they do as it overwhelmed both of them? The young couple lives taken by the Black Swamp. Sarah and John had to run for it they knew not on how they survived. They didn't question, EMT's had found nothing weeks later. The search had stopped.

"I'm scared." the second child said.

"Don't be, ask Sarah?" the dad said as he gestured to Elisa.

The story was over now it was time to finish camping for them, but the two parents knew not to take the trail at night for what they had learned was the "Black Swamp Curse".
