Chapter One

It was mid-day he was on his way to work as the sun was rising as he was passing the train tracks he was stopped by the police. They were on search for A dangerous criminal in his mind he knew he was safe. They had kept calling him homeless bum and many other horrible phrases anything to hurt and demean. They had inspected everything and found his ID that was on him the one female cop had said let the homeless reputation be on me as the rumors went out. Let her be known as the homeless one as she carried on her duties everyday in life. They had sent him on his way. After he had learned of the danger he had became weary of crossing that way he made sure to hasten to work quicker than usual.

"Good morning." said the man.

He had just arrived to work his jacket was grey with black boots on and blue jeans. He had told them what all had happened this morning. About the dangerous man that had got loose and in all danger. Shocking in the town of Greenly that something like this would happen. The day had gone by more quicker in the excitement. He had thought about what he needed to do to get home. Him and his one co-worker was running home to get the paper.

"Hey, how was the hunt?" He asked the one officer on the trail.

"Not good." He replied. "The guy is still out and on the loose."

"I looked in the paper and saw nothing about the jumping." He laughed.

"Over, the weekend." The officer replied.

"Okay, have a great day." He hollered as he was leaving.

It was starting to get near the weekend. As the summer heat came upon them it was getting nicer outside. Though they were stuck at work. They tried to make the best out of it still curious what was happening about the one. The weekend was coming near and they had hoped by news time that they would have had the suspect caught or at least identified. It was getting restless outside.

"You know its gotta be getting more restless outside." He said.

"Than the murders going around getting worse." The coworker laughed.

"Each one unique in itself." He agreed.

"Glad we are not in any danger." The coworker said relieved.

"Oh yeah, but still a killer cause I got to change route!" He laughed as he was walking away.

With a late lunch in him he felt full. as if he needed to lay down somewhere there was a bride underpass on the pathway. There would be shade a a cover if it would rain he made a make-shift shelter under it. Who even goes this way. he fell down and began to sleep.

When he got up it was dark outside all of his stuff still upon him, he was relieved. He rushed back to work not knowing the time. At luck he would arrive early and be ready worst case a write up would await. He was prepared either way. He was smiling at the place no one was their, yet. He had began to laugh he remembered it was the day off. He turned around and began to a restaurant to start eating breakfast. They all had started to act strange around him.

"It happened again last night." The cashier had said.

"What, another murder?" He asked.

"Yes!" She said.

He took his food sadly and went and sat down. He couldn't think of anything else except it. He had became controlled almost with it. Not thinking of anything else. He couldn't help, but wonder. He had finished eating and hurried home.
