The night was dark, with only a sliver of the pale moon peeking through the trees. It was a chill night, but not cold enough to make the air feel uncomfortable. The forest was quiet, and the only sound was the occasional rustling of leaves in the wind.

James had been walking for what felt like hours, and he was starting to feel a bit uneasy. He had been warned by his friends not to venture into the forest after dark, but he had been feeling adventurous and decided to take a risk. He had a flashlight with him, but it had run out of juice a while back, leaving him in complete darkness.

Suddenly, he heard a noise in the distance. It sounded like a low growl, and it sent a chill down his spine. He stopped in his tracks, listening intently. The sound seemed to be coming from somewhere nearby, and he could feel the hairs on the back of his neck standing on end.

He slowly started walking again, trying to stay as quiet as possible. He had no idea what he was up against, and he wanted to stay as far away from it as possible. He walked for what felt like forever, until he finally reached a clearing.

In the center of the clearing was a large, dilapidated cabin. It looked like it had been abandoned for years, and the windows were smashed in. He slowly walked towards it, feeling an eerie presence emanating from the cabin. He could feel something watching him from inside, but he couldn't tell what it was.

He cautiously approached the cabin and peered inside. There was a single light on in the corner of the room, and he could make out a figure sitting in a chair. It was a woman, and she seemed to be in a trance. He could feel her eyes boring into him, and it sent a chill down his spine.

He stepped back, not wanting to disturb her. He was about to turn around and leave when he heard a voice coming from inside the cabin.

"Come in, James," it said.

He hesitated, not knowing what to do. He felt like he was being lured in, and he didn't want to take the risk.

"Come in," the voice repeated.

He cautiously stepped inside, and he could feel the woman's eyes on him. He looked around the cabin and noticed a table in the corner with a book on it. The book was open, and the pages were filled with strange symbols and symbols that he couldn't understand. He could feel a strange energy coming from the book, and it made him feel uneasy.

The woman spoke again, this time in a more gentle tone.

"Welcome, James. I know why you are here. You are searching for answers, and I can help you find them. But first, you must do something for me."

She stood up and walked towards him. He could feel her cold, lifeless eyes on him. She reached out her hand and placed it on his forehead.

"You must embrace the darkness," she said.

He felt a chill run through his body as she spoke. He knew he had no choice but to obey her. He closed his eyes and embraced the darkness.

When he opened his eyes, he was standing in a large, dark room. A figure in a long black robe stood in front of him. He could feel a strong presence emanating from the figure, and he knew it was the woman from the cabin.

"You are now part of the darkness," she said. "You must embrace it and use it to gain the knowledge you seek."

He nodded, understanding what she
