The sudden jostle of the Deviant awoke Ava from the nap she hadn't planned to take but definitely needed. She felt slightly better, although her muscles were stiff.

She tensed up as arms were wrapped around her, then relaxed as she recalled what happened earlier.

Tilting her head up, she saw Nash staring at the door intently, as if he was willing it to open with his mind. Then she realized they had landed. And that made her nervous.

"Are you gonna open the door soon, buddy," Jessica asked, "or do you expect us to sit in this tin can with a lust-crazed Wanderer?"

Galen sighed, moving around the cockpit, "Patience."

"He needs to make sure all the systems are off first." Skye looked at her. "Nash would be pissed if we let something happen to his ship."

"Yeah, he would never let me live that down."

Jessica rolled her eyes.

Olsen and Max exchanged looks but said nothing.

But Ava knew how true that was. The Deviant was like his baby and was very protective over it.

As soon as the doors opened, Nash bolted out, still holding her. Ava wrapped her arms around his neck, the blush rising in her cheeks as people gawked at them.

It didn't take long for him to reach...her quarters? How odd. Ava figured he'd take her to his room, not that she cared which room it was. But she couldn't exactly ask him about it either.

Gently setting her on her bed, Nash locked the door and began taking off the outer layer of his armor. His whole body vibrated with each movement, and she saw the bump in his pants.

But Ava's eyes were glued to him.

Once the outer pieces were scattered on the floor, Nash slowly climbed into bed, hovering over her. Ava felt her heart pound and the butterflies in her stomach, her body heating up.

Nash lowered his head, running his mouth and tongue along the side of her neck, nestling his hips between her legs.

Ava couldn't hold back her gasp, her lower core heating and between her legs tingling. Holy hell, that felt good. She closed her eyes and let him explore some more.

Obviously encouraged by her reaction, Nash became bolder. He grabbed the hem of her shirt and tugged it upward.

She thought about it for a moment, then allowed him to remove her shirt. There was no reason for Ava to be nervous or afraid, although it felt strange to be shirtless in front of him.

Nash hummed, placing a hand on her stomach, slowly moving down to the top of her sweatpants.

Ava lifted her brow, "Really, not even a kiss first?"

Nash only stared at her.

She nudged him off her so they were both lying on their sides, then leaned forward and pressed her mouth against his.

It was a bizarre way to have a first kiss with someone, but Ava didn't care. Nothing about them was normal anyway.

Nash froze for a second, then yanked her closer, humming as he deepened the kiss. She couldn't keep herself from giggling at his eagerness, grabbing the hair on the back of his head.

He tried taking her pants off again, which worked this time, Ava draping her left leg over his hip. Nash still wore his under armor, its softness delighting her.

Nash then rolled back on top, taking the top half of the armor off, then fiercely kissing her. Ava rocked her hips back and forth, becoming impatient with the slow pace.

But he didn't speed up for her.

Sliding his hand beneath her, Nash ran his finger downward, slicing the back of her sports bra.

"You could've just pulled it over my head.

Surprisingly enough, Nash shrugged, pulling the fabric off of her. Ava bit her lower lip, butterflies tickling her stomach. She'd only done kissing and some ass grabbing, so this was exciting.

Looking down, Nash smiled, taking one of her breasts in his warmer than usual hand. Then he kissed her sternum, working up back to her lips.

Ava moaned as he gently kneaded it with his hand, the room feeling hot. She moved her hands all over his chest and back, marveling at how smooth his skin was.

It didn't take long for the rest of their clothing to come off, and when Nash slid inside her, Ava's mind went blank. All she could focus on was the two of them.

Nash kept the pace slow at first as they found the right rhythm. Then he picked up the pace, pinning her wrists onto the bed as he moved faster and harder.

Heat and pleasure quickly built up in her core. Especially as he stared her down with those wild eyes, and she couldn't break eye contact.

She also felt a warmth spreading through her chest, followed by a tug. Ava wasn't sure what it was, but she felt love and safety. It was as if their souls had somehow connected and were bound to each other.

Suddenly, pleasure flooded her body, and Ava couldn't stop herself from crying out. Nash came right after, growling before pulling out and pulling her into his embrace.

Ava smiled, closing her eyes and basking in the afterglow. It was so good to be home at last.
