In his bag, Ian pulled out a monster energy drink and red spray paint. He cracked open the drink and took a large gulp then he began his masterpiece. He painted a large circle with an upside-down star. He was in the middle of a shitty neighborhood so no one would care what he did.

He pulled out two candles and placed them on either side of the pentagram. He opened up the salt and poured it all around the pentagram. Then grabbed his lighter from the inside of his black overcoat and lit the candles. He remembered this particular demon needed lavender and rosemary. He got out his mortar and pestle and mixed them up then placed them at the top of the pentagram.

He took another gulp of his monster and then reached in his other pocket for a cigarette. He placed it on his lips and lit it up. He inhaled the smoke then exhaled.

"Do you have to do that right now?"

Lainey said from the forest.

"Patience Lainey."

He couldn't see her very well since it was night but he knew she rolled her eyes.

"Can we come out now?"

"Oh, yeah."

Out came the crew who was waiting for him to finish. They all sat down around the pentagram. He took another hit from his cigarette. Lainey has golden brown skin and long tightly curled hair. She has on a form-fitting shirt and jeans. She's stunning. He would be interested if she played for his team.

Sitting rather close to Lainey is Ruby. He didn't know much about her. No one did. Lainey invited her into our little group. Both of them denied it but there was something there.

Oh, Alex is the sweetest person in the world. They never really wanted to do any of this but tagged along because they have major FOMO. Then the boy who made his heart flutter. His bleach blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Ian was sure his hair was dyed but every time he asked he insisted that it wasn't. He almost believed him. Keanu didn't seem to return his feelings. He seemed to be more annoyed with him than anything.

"You know the salt doesn't work right?"

Lainey asked. He inhaled.

"Pff of course I knew that."

He said as the smoke came out.

"Really cuz it seems like you've been watching Supernatural. What did you say about that show? That's it's all fake bullsh.."

"Yes I did say that and I don't watch it."

He interrupted.

"Really? So you don't think Dean is hot?"

"What? No. He might have a perfectly symmetrical face, muscular build, and beautiful green eyes but no he's not hot."

He could see her grin in the candlelight.

"Ian I'm not sure about this."

Alex meekly said.

"What do you mean?"

"Uh, I'm kinda scared."

"Oh don't be It'll be fine. I'm the one summoning the demon. You guys will be safe."

"Uh okay."

Ian walked over to the bowl of lavender and rosemary and crouched down.

"Uuhg are you ever going to get rid of your mullet?"

Lainey asked. He grinned at her.

"Never."

He inhaled again then placed the cigarette in the bowl and waited for it to burn.

"That's what you were smoking for? You could have just used a lighter."

Lainey said.

"Actually this ritual requires tobacco. Bet you didn't know that."

"Oh."

She said taken back. He sat in the middle of the pentagram waiting for the demon to arrive. He kind of hoped this wouldn't work. He's never done this before. He's messed with demons before but he's never summoned them into this world. He was scared.

His lavender and rosemary mix started to burn. His heart started beating faster but he couldn't show it. He had to act like he knew what he was doing or all of them would panic.

Then the candles went out. All of us were completely still. Not a word, not a breath, not a sound was made. Then Ian felt hands on his shoulders and his heart dropped. The hands pulled him down it felt like he was going through the floor like he was on some sort of fucked up amusement park ride. But then he was in the same place except his friends weren't there anymore.

He stood up.

"Guys? Where are you?"

"They're not here."

A voice said. It sounded eerie. He didn't know where it came from. He made out a figure far into the distance.

"Hello?"

The figure was suddenly right in front of him. Scaring the shit out of him. He fell and his breath became heavy. He slowly stood up. The figure looked like a normal person except he couldn't see its face because it was covered by its fedora. It seemed male. It was tall and slender and has on a suit and tie.

"You dare summon me for fun and games?"

"I-it wasn't for fun."

"Stop!"

It yelled. Echoing throughout the area.

"You think you can lie to me? I can see through you. I hope you realize what you have done. Your fun is over. I'm coming to the human world in exactly three months and you will not like the outcome."

"What's going to happen?"

He barely squeaked out.

"It's more fun if I don't tell you. See you soon."

It whispered in his ear. He felt the same feeling as before except he was going up.

"Ian are you okay?!"

Keanu asked.

"Y-yeah what happened?"

"You were just sitting there completely still. You wouldn't move or talk."

Lainey said.

"Oh."

"Did anything happen?"

She asked.

"N-no I don't think so. I don't remember anything."

He lied.

"Oh good. Let's all go home."

"Yeah, let's go home."
