When he died, their father had two request. Sarah was not to marry Tommy, and Anna was not to move to Mexico. The girls listened in silence as he mumbled his last breath. Anna had already decluttered her house, and Sarah was madly in love with Tommy, in fact she had moved into his house. Sarah wondered if Tommy would leave her if she only wanted to cohabitate. Anna definetly was not going to stay in this town she wondered where else she could move. Both of them were wondering if they could ignore his death wish. Both of the girls felt slightly trapped.

When Sarah got home, Tommy talked with her about her father's death, He wanted to comfort her , but she was having trouble communicating with him. He thought it was the loss of her father. Sarah had to be honest with him , but how could she tell him of her fathers death request, And if she didn't how could she marry someone she could 't be honest with. She started to cry, Tommy went to comfort her but she brushed him away.

Tommy went and called Anna. He was curious what had gone on. Anna was talking about maybe not going to Mexico. Tommy was comfused, everybody who knew her. knew she wanted to move. Why he asked . She did not hesitate "My fathers dieing request was that I didn't move to Mexico and that Sarah didn't marry you" Tommy silently gasped. "Sarah didn't say anything about it to you?" Tommy could barely mouth his answer "She doesn't seem to want to talk with me." He was stunned . What sort of man would make that his dieing request. Why would he rip away his daughters dreams. They had already given up two years of their lifes to care for him. A true man would have requested that they work towards thier dreams. He would have trusted their judgement.

Tommy hung up the phone, he didn't know what to say to Sarah. Sarah didn't know what to say to him. Finally Tommy said " Maybe we should go for therepy to discuss ignoring your fathers death request. It is your life , not his." Sarah smiled meekly, I didn't know how to tell you, and I didn't feel honest not telling you. You know how I feel about therepy, some stranger deciding how you should live your life" Tommy seemed disheartened," Can you get past your father's request with out going to therepy"?

Their father had left the world leaving his whole family confused and dishhearted.

Anna stood in her decluttered house. She still had to much junk to move. She watched videos about moving to Mexico on Utube They had seemed to loose control. Usually they inspired her to move, but today she felt sick to her stomach. She was in a state of confusion. She had never let anybody else control the course of her life. She only lived once should she give up her dreams for a death request? Her thoughts were intrurupted by a phone call. It was Sarah "We are going to go for therepy, if you feel like I do maybe you should go to therapy too. Thank you for telling Tommy, I didn't want to hurt him , but I didn't want to lie either" Both girls were silent. Neither said goodbye. They in a numb daze hung up.

Anna knew it was to early to go to bed , but she curled up, in her pj's and went to sleep. Sarah curled up with Tommy , no words just tears, they both cryed and then slept.

The doctor wanted to give these previously well adjusted people medication. Tommy tried to explain that it was just situational, but in the end they were all on Prosaic. A unrosy situation became rosy. They had a false sense of happiness. The therepst barely wanted to discuss the issue, afterall it was just chemical in the doctors mind. Tommy personally thought the doctor was crazy. He was begining to want to go to Mexico. His and Sarah's doctor clained he could diagnoze someone in five minutes. Sarah , Tommy had to admit had been right . These people wanted to take contol of their lifes.

Months latter Tommy disappered from his house , he was crying, but he wanted to decide his own course of his life. He was sick of all the outside influences . He left, moved to New York, and started a life on his own terms. Some times he would cry at night thinking how the two girls had lost sight of thier dreams. They both meanwhile smiled at nothing, following the phsycological fomula. He had loved her but not enough to give up his dreams.
