Wandering Dark
I cannot believe I'm back here. I can’t do it; I won’t do it. I should leave, turn right around, and walk out the gates. Half turning, Iana looked to see if Mrs Poole was still watching her, she gave a small salute as if to say running hadn’t occurred to her. Not that Mrs Poole was fooled. She’d known Iana for too long. Looking up at the imposing fortress in front of her, Iana wondered if anything had changed. Would Vi still be here? Would they let her back into the same class as her friends? Looking at the military grey roof and the off-white walls she laughed grimly to herself. The cops were right of course. She was running from an institution, just not the one they expected.

Sparrow
I signed the letter. Eris Aurora Lilliana Victorun. My full name, hardly touched since that fateful autumn. My mother’ name, unwillingly bestowed upon me. She could not help herself, had to force upon me her name, her selfish ambition, and shameless idiocy. She had married my father for his money, the poor man, and when he was killed she spared not a second to grieve. The only black she wore was the simple black pearl bracelet that I loathed. She wasted no time at all in gathering his fortunes around herself and wasting them on frivolous affairs, parties, clothes, jewels, and the attention of the ambitious merchant James Warden, who was set on gaining his wealth the easy way.

Doric
He wants to ask them when their big day is. The small lady leans into the side of her love like fronds of a fern curling together. Their fingers brush as they walk, a familial mark of being and belonging, the kind that comes from quiet chatter over late nights and has been founded over arguments so large and so small that they could mean the world or not at all.

Vultures circle in the sky waiting for her to pass out so they can pick at her bones. The sun blazes in the sky, the heat burns her skin badly, scorching and melting her slowly.

Keeper of the Light
"It's your path, you ultimately decide what you do with your life..." I said to the woman, trying to sound convincing. She bought it...they always do. "Thank you Shane...thank you so much" she said as she handed me $50. I gave her an hour long reading, palm reading, tarot cards, the whole nine yards. The way I see it is if she really cared about how her life was going she'd see a therapist, not a guy with a psychic shop on the corner of a street. Don't get me wrong I do believe in psychic abilities...I just know I don't have them. I took over this store after my dad handed it down to me. He was a real psychic, he said it ran in our family but I know I don't have abilities...which is why I wonder why he handed the store down to me. I'm not trying to scam people, I just want to keep the family business up and running. "I guess I'll close early tonight" I mumbled to myself while flipping the sign in the window.

The Fragile Rose
Spring... A season that has been battled between love and hate for so long. Some love the sight of flowers and plants shining. Its vibrated color is nothing compared to other seasons. While the others dreaded bugs flying around, getting close to ears and faces. These devilish bugs make it hard to savor the season. Though Lucas had no problem at all, he also enjoyed the lovely colors of flowers and plants, but he found bugs quite vital for the “perfect spring.” In fact, now, Lucas is outside with a magnifying glass, he was analyzing a group of butterflies in the garden of his wife, Rosa. Lucas' main attention was on the wings, the variety of color and pattern of the wings attracted Lucas’ curious eyes like a magnet. In his head, he’s lost in his thoughts, thinking of the possible other variety. Soon his thoughts interrupted hearing a soft female voice from inside the cottage, “Lucas? Where have you gone?” Hearing this certain female voice brought a smile to Lucas’ face, he stopped and stood up, “I’m coming my love. "He said. Lucas still held on to his newly written notes and magnifying glass as he casually walked inside. The moment Lucas walked in, he was suddenly hit with the kitchen; he fell in awe seeing his wife in the kitchen with her favorite cherry-patterned apron. Lucas stood there memorizing her long dark black hair, bronze-like skin with dark blue eyes. He was so busy appreciating his love appearance, he did not notice the aroma of his favorite chicken soup was in the air. It was until he heard that voice calling his name he finally noticed. “Lucas...Lucas...LUCAS!?,” Lucas finally snapped out of it. he then blinked and at once respond to her with a question, “Is that chicken soup?” he asked hoping that she forgot he spaced out. Rosa slightly laughs, she was not dumb and knew what Lucas was doing, “of course, that’s why I called you,” she points out. Lucas took a seat down on one of the chairs near the take, he looked down at his notes while Rosa cooked.
