Lilac Scented Dreams (6)
“Find me, find me, and help me. Let me live a normal life, one that I never got just for a little bit. Once you think I am ready, help me. Help me remember who I was and who I can be. But if you notice, my people start to endure what they can not, even if I'm not ready, wake me up. I love you and we will meet again.” Ragged breath and tears running down her face, but don’t recognize her face or voice for some reason. It feels like a distant memory from someone else's head. I can feel her pain, heartbreak, sadness, and yet some tender love. A love I've never felt but longed for. She’s talking to someone who is also crying and in pain. I can’t see his face, it’s blurry and his voice is silent. I can see his mouth moving and I can hear noises but I can’t understand what he is saying. Reaching out to touch his face she says “ I will never leave you, please don’t cry, this is not the end and I will see you again.” With that, her face turned pale and her body went limp.

Hell: From One to Another
In the usual dark alley way where I always sleep at night there was a strange man, very very strange. It was quite odd as I'd never seen him before, but he was standing over my little makeshift home and it seemed like he was investigating it. I stood there watching what he was doing a bit longer, and then I started to dash the other way. I was not about to get caught again by another adult. After all, they all just take me to the police station where the police just send me back to my abusive stepfather. Of course all he knows how to do is beat me with his beer bottles, and tell me I'm better off dead and should've never been born. It's literal torture being there, so there's no way I'd let myself be caught. I keep running and start to turn the next corner, but with my bad luck, I think the strange man heard me and started to chase after me because suddenly I feel a hand grab my shirt which forces me to stop. He then looks at me and asks, "Who are you?" in a really deep voice which made me freeze up, but I manage to stutter my name, "Az.. Azrael." I reply. "So Azrael," the man says, "Why were you spying on me?". With the way he said those words, I felt like he was going to strangle me to death if I said one wrong thing. That's why entire body is shivering right now. I reply with, "You.. You were standing over my living space, and I was wondering what you were doing." He stares at me with his seemingly lifeless eyes and asks, "How old are you?" I say, "I'm 10 years old." The strange man then looks at me and says, "Would you like to be my son?" I had to process what he said for a moment, because those words really confused me, like why would anyone want me as their child. So I replied, "Why?" because he can't possibly be saying that out of good will. He then said, "Because I need an heir to take over my responsibilities." His response still didn't clarify, so I said, "What responsibilities?" The strange man then let out a malicious grin and said, "If you agree, then I'll tell you." Those words sounded really suspicious, but I replied with, "Ok, I agree to be your son." After all, I have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Anyways, after I agree, he pulls out his phone and types something, then after a few minutes he calls someone, so I decide to sit down on my makeshift bed inside my little box home. Shortly after I sit down a black SUV pulls up. The man then says to me, "Get in." So I get in, and put my seat belt on and then the driver starts driving, and I had no idea where we were going. That's when my thoughts started trailing off by saying things like, "What if you're being kidnapped?" or "What if he takes you straight back to your stepfather?" I mean like I don't ever want to see my stepfather again, and I don't care less if I'm being kidnapped as long as I can sleep in a real bed for the first time in my life I'll be fine, I still want to know where I'm going though. So I ask curiously, "Where are we going?" The man replies, "To a place where I can legally make you my son."

The Familiar Monsters
Aaron went down the streets he was used to. He killed the animals that he was familiar with. His shoes were clinging to a pebble. Here it was Victorianesque: ornate brick buildings that penetrate the gray sky, narrow streets full of shadows, boiling smoke coming out of the machines. Personally, she was wearing a black suit with a date under a gray collar jacket and a top hat - all without weight.
