The Camels of Misfit Farm Chapter 2
The pasture behind the barn was ten acres of rolling green vegetation surrounded by new barbed wire and fenceposts splashed with no-trespassing-purple paint. At the foot of Tester Mountain, the fence marked the border between the farm and Art Loeb National Forest, where granite outcroppings and wild rhododendrons overlooked the Chinquapin River. It was not a simple, flat pasture, rather a wild meadow dotted with large grey rocks, random young trees, and patches of milkweed and nettles among the grasses. It was unsuitable for hay but okay for grazing.

The Void
It was cold. There was a strange atmosphere around, as if the air was damp, musty, devoid of oxygen. It smelled weird too. Not unpleasant, not nice, it smelled like a profound nothingness; if a human was able to breathe in the deepest parts of the ocean, this is what the smell would be like. Well, at least that was what Victor Lavoi thought.

Where Wolves Howl and Marigolds Grow
Grandma would always tell me stories of men, women, and everyone in between, who would change into giant beasts who look as if a wolf morphed into a human. Of course, for most of my life, I believed these stories to be the ramblings of an old woman, who had lived far past her time, a woman who was so broken up inside that she turned to the fiction of old regarding werewolves and the legends of their lovers. until I was handed over her cabin and everything in it, in the wake of her death.

Crimson Dance
Crimson Dance Their bodies lithely move in sync, sweat coats every inch of the two deadly dancers. Their gazes are intensely locked in an intimate moment. Their swords clash as each strives to kill the other. They move with feline grace, each striking so fast their bodies are an inhuman blur. After a flurry of blows it appears like one has the upper hand and the fight has swung in favor of the female. A wicked smirk alights upon the elven woman’s face a half second later, she catches his sword with hers and knocks it from his grasp. Immediately following, she flicks her wrist bringing the point of her sword to his throat. In a light musical thrill she speaks one word, “concede.” He pauses dumbstruck at his defeat.

Drowning Memories
Flakes of white fractals glistened from the sky on the night of year’s end. Lenn furtively weaved her way through the frosted neighborhood, clenching her bag of toiletries. The loose fabric of her patterned, black-and-white robe hung loosely around her small figure, reacting only barely to the chilled breeze.

The Woman of the Emerald Wood. Top Story - November 2021.
In old times when magic and folklore was rooted in the forests, there existed a woman who aged according to the cycles of the moon. She lived far away from the kingdom that claimed to rule over the land, far from the shadows that hovered over the souls of men. One could only find her if they were to venture past the mountains shaped like two sleeping bears and into the Emerald Wood. However, only a few would ever encounter her, for she was a solitary creature who remained veiled to all of those who she did not wish to reveal herself. Her existence was a myth that had been whispered about for generations. The Woman of the Emerald Wood was as ancient as the Earth itself and yet her wisdom waxed and waned throughout each month with the moon. When the moon was waxing, she was the Maiden, whose innocence and curiosity flowed into the forest, filling it with wonder. When the moon was full, she was the Mother, whose fertility and nurturing presence brought life, growth and abundance to the animals and plants in her wood. When the moon was waning, she was the Crone, whose wisdom was sought out and avoided. In this incarnation, she brought death to those who grew weak with time.

Veronica
Part 1 It’s not easy finding love in a town full of supernaturals but if you know what you are looking for then you should find the right one for you, I found a great guy a few years ago named Grant Jones; I mean sure he howls at the moon and has to hide in the woods once a month but he is still a great guy. We met when I was representing his company in a lawsuit, he owns a security company with a few of his friends from college and someone was trying to stiff him on a payment. It was love at first sight for me at least but that is what happens when you’re a hopeless romantic like myself; I was on my way home from picking up food from his favorite restaurant and something felt off. I didn’t know what I was going to be walking into but I really wasn’t prepared for what I saw, he was in the living room with one of his clients and they were in a very intimate position. I didn’t think about anything but getting out of there, I ran to my car but he was right behind me, he didn’t even bother to put on any pants, he just raced out after me, I didn’t want to hear anything he said so I took his voice with a spell.

The Underground
The air was crisp as it brushed my cheeks, you could tell summer was coming to an end when my leather jacket stopped being enough to keep me warm on my late night escapades. The city of lights was fairly quiet for a friday night, I looked around to make sure the coast was clear before hurrying down the dark alley that lay in front of me. My helmet tucked under my arm I shuffled pulling my gloves off and shoving them in my back pocket.

The Gorgon Desolation
SUMATRAN OCEAN Summer, 1E 194 Surrounded by the darkness of the night, clouds swathed the sky, blotting out all light from the stars and the moon in the depths of the heavens above. Eight great Nardic ships sailed the rough waters of the Sumatran Ocean that separated the Nardic Isles from the Gorgon Desolation in the mainland of Aerbon to the North. Thunder boomed and lightning cracked, shattering the silence of the night whilst the sea rumbled and roared as foamy waves crashed upon the warships. The Nardic fleet sailed from the port of Baiern on the northern coast of Dusseldorf; the largest of island of their Isles in the South and closest to the orc-lands they sought out. The ships had been sailing for nearly a week and each of the men aboard fought their hardest to make it as far as they had in those rough waters. Two ships had already been lost to the sea-god, Urasmus, and the weather threatened to take even more sailor’s lives with the ships they manned.
