Bonded Bloodlines
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. Writers of the Eastern Mountains claim they originated from the sea, growing bored of the cold fish. While the orators in the Western Mountains will tell how dragons lived on the clouds until they grew too heavy, and sprouted wings to carry them safely to the ground below.

Mountains and Mourning
Elena stood at a black river, looking down upon it with empty eyes. On either side of her stood black trees with moon-white leaves, fluttering delicately in the wind. One flew into her hair, and she reached up, took the leaf out, and then placed it in the rapids. She watched as it floated away, bobbing up and down.

The Greed Beget the Dragons
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. Had they listened to their forebearers there would not be. The children of this valley's first settlers were instructed with a firm hand. "Hold you greed young ones. The bounty of this valley is a great gift. You should take what you need and return what you can. The gods will send a plague of dragons and drakes should you not." Those who were cast from their homes and who were gifted this new valley spoke this line. They tried all manner of education to ensure their children would learn. So that they too would not fall victim to theirselves and dragons. As the generations of man crept by this sage advice crept away. Just some five years ago when man still lived inbetwixt these great mountains only a few knew to fear. Most who called this place home thought dragons were a mere myth. Instead the only issue was, who could have the most. Who could take the most. Whose greed would consume the valley first. This way of thought was prevelant only for a generation.

I watched as the dragons stayed for ten years before been chased off by their worse enemies, the Ice dragons, they came and killed anything else that was still alive or hiding by freezing the entire valley, as ice formed throughout the valley my body died, leaving my spirit to float around till the valley warms up again. The Ice dragons stayed eating all the fish, that survived the first wave, they then packed up and left going to destroy another paradise. It was quiet for a day till the mother of dragons came and brung life back to the valley, she stayed watching over the valley as the grass and trees grew back but the creatures that made up the valley didn’t came back, I got my body back but after a century of protecting the land, she gave up and left never coming back as the fire dragon came back and destroyed it once again. This was the cycle Fire, ice then mother nature came and took it all back but no creatures ever came back, I was stuck to relive it over and over again till I was called by my flock to leave the dying valley, a place we called home, heaven, paradise was now burning and we couldn’t do anything about it. We were now on a planet called earth, it wasn’t our valley but it was somewhat peacefully, we had to hide so we wouldn’t get discovered by the humans, it was only a matter time till the dragons come to earth to take over want more land for themselves and the day that happens is the day we all not waiting for.

The Rovim
"There weren't always dragons in the Valley." Alecto had whispered over to me. It was late. The sun had fully descended the horizon and disappeared beneath the sea. Grandfather had instructed us in the appropriate blessings and spells that coincide with nightfall, although he never taught us the words of the sacred language. Alecto and I had secured the entrance to our hut with a large stone, while mother kindled the fire. The Kikelev Isles dipped well below freezing each night. Fully lethal for humans but even elves would succumb if not indoors by nightfall.

Natural Magic Chapter 3
Read Chapter 2 Here Listen to this chapter here Tilli, Sam and Cadolina had been riding on the train for an hour. It had been a tense hour. When they had boarded, Cadolina wanted to look for her friends from Liberty House, but Sam pointed out that they might be taking a later train, since they didn't have to be at school as early as Tilli and Caddie did. And those that were arriving early likely weren't on the train yet. Cadolina had stood in the corridor, on the verge of finding a different car while Sam smiled serenely up at her. Then she rolled her eyes, sat next to the window, and stuck her nose in a book, occasionally peering over the top of it, as if expecting to see her siblings plotting her murder. Sam tried to spark a conversation once or twice, but it fizzled, so they sat in silence, Sam staring at his hands, Cadolina sending both of them nasty looks, and Tilli... wishing desperately for a transportation station.

Serpent Moon
There weren't always dragons in the valley. Winter paused in her digging and frowned, the words tugging at something in her memory. Where had she heard that before? Was it from her mother? Some story told when she was still a child, sitting next to the hearth?
