Fire and the Divine
When the dragon found the child it was lying in the deep depths of the forest in the northern realms of Úgdul. There in the wandering darkness of the night a dragon from Silvervalley named Ironthorne heard the soft whimpering of the abandoned toddler. He landed in a clearing next to the trees when a strange feeling of compassion overcame the gigantic flying lizard. With all his might he tore down tree after tree until he got near. When he reached the child it looked deep into his eyes with an unnaturally wise look. Ironthorne was quite surprised since it apparently liked all the destruction he caused while trying to get closer. Worry and fear overcame the dragon because he did not understand its reaction in the slightest. Never the less, since nobody seemed to protect the child he decided to carefully pick it up with his claws. Once he got a good hold of it they flew off together into the nearest town where humans resided.

Cradle Breaker
Pain. It coursed through the beast, clenching his stomach tight, snatching his breath away. Anger. A rage so fierce it pierced him like arrows driving through his heart. Hatred. The dark emotion filled his mind until nothing else existed. It drove him to the village. It fueled the fire in his belly, the red flames scorching everything in his path. Buildings, trees, Vikings. Men, women and children fell beneath his wrath. From the rafters of the halls to the cradle where the babe slept, the village was ravaged. The cries of loss were dull in his mind as the flames devoured all that stood. He did not care, he couldn’t care. His empathy for the short-lived humans had evaporated the instant they murdered his companion. Oh, how he loathed them for taking her away from him. He would not forget; he would never forget.

The Dragon Mother's Child
"Long ago, there dwelled a nation called Jednota. It was a nation founded by the first of the Human Gods, for the Dragons of Veldrak in the North, Dwarves of Maltrpas in the West, and Elves of Loskria in the East. For centuries, these three countries lived harmonious and peaceful lives, their economies booming and cities flourishing. The dwarves traded wood with the elves, the elves traded silk with the dragons, and the dragons traded gems with the dwarves. In this thriving peace and solitude, the royal queen of Veldrak laid three eggs. The Dragons of Veldrak were ecstatic and the country was filled with joyous celebration.

A Regretful Blunder
It was a warm August afternoon as Sean Lanford sat feeling rather sad at the edge of the ravine that overlooked the Satakin River and its surrounding valley. It was nearly 2 years since his grandfather died, and he wondered if the hikers below – who all seemed to be having the time of their lives – still had their best friend to talk to when they got sad.

The Dragon
The wind was steady under the bright blue sky; the air fresh and stark; it was a sickly-sweet scent only ocean could provide. Zahara flapped boastful wings and sucked wagon loads of breath through flaring nostrils as she barreled to the sea, her wings contracting into a spiral dive as she speared the crisp waters of the Arasolak.
