Ammit
"What has become of Amun's fruitful land?" A soul-weary Ammit thought as she breached the top of the cliff and swooped down into the blood-stained valley. Ammit's heart wept at the horror before her. A once beautifully carpeted glen full of swaying blue-green grass, bright red poppies, and a cacophony of wildflowers. Was now riddled with mangled, disfigured bodies as far as the eye could see. Swallowing the lump of grief that arose at the view, Ammit scanned the scene for any signs of life.

The True Guardians
Prologue The world I once knew has burned to nothing but ash before my eyes. The smoke was thick and black on the once flourishing island of magic where I stood a moment before, as it became a mere distant memory. A cruel reminder of what the world was before him. My breaths were shallow as harsh rain poured above, my horse darting through the new world of battle. The horse could only run for so long before stopping on the ledge of a cliff. The end was near. He was near. The island trembled in fear below my feet, knocking me and my other mages to our knees. We were helpless. Through the fog, two glowing eyes emerged. The monster who had started this battle wasn't going down without a fight. I can’t breathe, I can’t speak. The eyes were filled with nothing but wrath and pain, emerging only now that they have been buried for over three millennia. It was taking what was theirs all those years ago. The day the creator had been shattered into fragments and thrown deep under the surface, never to be seen, until now. They stand above me, like a titan.

The Flight of a Lifetime
It started out as another day near the village of Cornish, the frost sparkled like diamonds across the vast fields. Most of the crops had been brought in and laid away for the cold winter months. The winters were harsh, and the land was barren of activity during the coldest of the months, much was to be done before the winter moon. Wood had to be cut and split and stored for drying, food needed to be set for winter storage and usage, and of course meat had to be obtained and cured. There had to be enough provisions to last through the long, harsh winter. Without preparation, the chance of survival in this land was not likely. The people of Cornish were resourceful and knew how to survive.

An Act of Mercy
The ogre was running away from him, tossing away his broken club as he darted through the thick forest. The dragon merely looked at the ogre’s bloody back in amusement before taking a step forward. He had the thought that since his prey was not fighting back anymore, perhaps he should let him go. But the dragon quickly dismissed it as he crouched down.

A Dragon's Love
Chapter 1 “Come dear; we mustn’t dally too long in one place,” Davok said, nervously scratching himself beneath one wing. “I know,” Medara replied to her mate, surveying the small section of the forest below them with disappointment. “But we can’t afford to leave any stone unturned or hollow tree overlooked. We must find more food, or we’ll starve this winter.”

The Dragon Guard, Prolouge
“There you are”, a voice rumbled from the sky, hot breath on my skinny, squishy toddler shoulders. I turned around, wide eyed and scared. Its teeth were bigger than my whole body and sharp as pikes. Its head was large as the clearing and cast a shadow, thick and solid as the forest canopy.

The Day of Dawning
Magnus Fire, smoke, ash, and storm. I am Magnus and my blood carries fire. I am Magnus and I come to destroy. Through a rippling canvas of flame, I watch the singed wood crumble. Charred debris tumbles from elevated waterways, the once vibrant streams now sucked into dry earth. Ash litters the air, drifting downwards in blankets of gray. I tear their world limb from limb. Flames billow from my open maw, blistering their skin, searing their world into darkness. I show no mercy because they are without mercy. We, the dragons, the Star-Born, cannot be extinguished. They all must die. Every last River-Born.
