Dragons of Egusta
Night is falling. Mushrooms began to light up, illuminating the sleeping child's face. Reeds rustle and two turquoise eyes pear at the child from the dark shadows. Wings pressed tight against her body, she sniffs the air. Nothing. Just the child and an old scent of wool and smoke that clung to the baby's clothes.

May
Interlocked, a last caress pulls away from my fingertips in this final fleeting moment of you. Throughout the physical and laws betwixt, where hymns lie silently and compounding matter begin, we hurtle through this space navigating places of air and land, a place with no time in between. On no corporal ground do we rest, for the harsh packed air steals any last motivation for me to defend myself, not against the opposition that continues to oppress our forces with onslaughts of dominant blasts from the gravity weaponry.

Scales and Steel
The terrestrial globe that we have become accustomed to calling Ailoon knew for thousands of years the hatred that existed between two of its largest congregations of Humans who wandered the length and breadth of the continent of Ei: to the northwest lied the fearsome Frevoss Empire, an ever-changing and resilient nation, due to the inadequacy of its inhabitants in the use of the Magical Arts; to the southeast stood the Reitian Federation, an economically stable, proactive nation, kind with its states. The latter, thanks to its - albeit sparse – armies of sorcerers and healers, managed to take back the territories that the Empire took away from it in order to compete with it in the maritime market.

Emerald
Dragons are the rulers of any domain they see fit to inhabit. If a mighty red dragon finds a volcanic mountain, it will burrow deep into the lava flow and claim all the lands around for miles, the borders drawn by the smoldering ruins of previous tenants. If a clever blue dragon decides to move into the sands of a desert, it will bury itself deep beneath the dunes, laying perfectly still for one hundred years or more in deep slumber. If, when it awakens, it finds that a settlement has appeared around it, there will be no doubt as to who the proper master of the dry plains shall be. Many are the swamps that no mortal dares to tread, knowing a terrible, sadistic, and magically gifted black dragon has laid claim to it, even if the beast has not been spotted for hundreds of years. And while only the hardiest of peoples can hope to survive on the frozen tundras of the north, they know only a single response to spying the shadow of a white dragon overhead. Run. Run or become frozen statues for the creature's lair as its foul, chilled breath descends upon them.

The boy with the pink dragon
The boy with the pink dragon. Blood is thicker than water, but a dragon’s bond is solid… Talon opened his eyes, blood was trickling down the side of his neck, he was injured so badly, he could not even stretch his long and massive grey wings. Confused, he tried to recall the events that took place before he got here but it was a haze. Around him, everything was on fire: forests flickered in the distance as mountain peaks emitted thick toxic fumes into the sunset air. Ahead of him was a small town that seems to have suffered the worst of what had happened. All the houses were destroyed and ablaze, with corpses, either charred or flattened, splayed across the ground; casualties of the dragons’ fight. Talon rests his head from the pain, he stares back at the town and could see a woman holding a child walking very slowly towards his path, with each step it seemed like agony for her.

The Twilight Wood
There was only one reason for entering the Twilight Wood, and the reason behind Gilderoy’s pilgrimage was no exception. The forest stood like a great moat encircling the world. None knew what, if anything, stood on the other side. Now and then, there would be talk of someone surviving for more than a day in the mists, but these survivors somehow always disappeared swiftly. Some believed it was suicide, while others believed they simply faded from this world. By his reckoning, Gilderoy had now languished for three days in the endless fog, but time was thought to operate differently in the Twilight Wood. While unsure of how long he had survived, he was certain of one thing:
