The Green Dragon
Kosha was lying on the lake bank and admiring her reflection. She has just shed her skin last night and she came here to get a full image of her new guise: the new skin was perfectly green which meant she was fully mature dragon now. Kosha tried to see reflection of each the scale, she really enjoyed her new look and new feelings. She was thinking about staying at this place for a night: to check the reflection with different light, when she was disturbed by some strange sound in the forest. First she just ignored it - anyway no one could harm her here, and it was not worth her attention. But as the sound repeated something alarmed inside of her. The dragon decided to have a look, what was happening there, and what she saw was the last thing she was expected to see so deep in the forest: it was a girl! A little girl, maybe two or three (or four) years old (Kosha never knew how to specify human's child's age). She worn very nice emerald cloth, which made her hardly noticeable in the woods. And she was totally alone. No trace of adults were around.

Megin's Redemption
The soft hiss of tree branches being forced to rub against one another preceded the rarest sight on the continent, one that surely could only be a myth. A full-grown dragon crept past a rocky precipice on the mountain side, causing the under canopy of the forest to part around the bulk of his lean, scarred body as he slunk through the ancient trees. He moved stealthily yet with purpose, as though drawn directly to a rocky outcropping by some unseen force. There, near the edge of the cliff was a sleeping toddler.

The Witch's Dragon
The odd quiet of winter blanketed the sleepy village of Yvoire. Their chimneys' plumbed with the smoke of banked fires as they, the chaperones, slumbered. The inky black tendrils of those smoldering coals coalescing into the pink, pregnant clouds that lay low in the night sky. Their thick heavy laden masses lazily availing themselves of large cotton swaths of Snow. The accumulation of these light balls on the fields below warded away sound and the creatures that made noise. All seemed cozy and quiet. All except for the house of Sauveterre.

The Tale of Fardyr and Acacius
It was dawn when he found him. The small hairless creature sat alone in a clearing as Fardyr scoured the jungle for prey from above. It was too small to make a meal for the mighty dragon, but somehow the creature piqued his interest. He believed it to be a human, likely a juvenile due to its small size. Fardyr had never seen one before but had heard many tales of their greed and hostility. This child, however, seemed small and harmless. Scared even. Nonetheless, the dragon approached with caution.

These Weights We Carry
The cry was an unsettling thing. So much humanness in that sound, singing from pink, purse-sized lungs; warm air expelled through blunted teeth. He did not investigate. Wet soil lay soft beneath him while glassy water stroked his chin. The sun crouched limp and low behind sagging clouds and he could feel no urge – from the tip of his snout to the flick of his tail – to shift an inch for the quavering noise crossing the lake towards him.

The Boy and The Dragon
Deep deep in the forest below, lies a great beast that rules over all. This king if you may, is nothing but a humble Dragon just trying to find his way. The other beasts made me their king out of fear. This is something I never wanted but fate can be a tricky thing. So I’ve made the best of things and this predicament that I am in. I knew I had to be responsible so I came up with a scenario where I could be left alone for six out of the seven days of the week and my Lieutenants would have to report to me only once a week about the matters going on down below. I kept myself in a cave at the highest peak in the land. I was able to have a peaceful life and enjoy myself. It's been 547 years since I became the king and a lot has changed. We went from Wild beast fighting in the jungle to a society of magic Beast living in the forest.
