E. J. Strange
I am new to the writing community but hope to publish a novel one day. I am simple minded and sucker for romance.
I am by no means a great writer. That's not me being modest, it is the truth. I look at some of ya'll works with mad envy and wish I could articulate my thoughts just as good, but I haven't quite gotten there yet. I am working on it though, and my first step was "The Exchange".
From the Vaults of Earth
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. The sharp hues and bright lights that bled from the porthole window pierced her eyes. She squeezed her lids together at the watering pain. She was used to seeing without her eyes. The earth guided and enveloped her in other ways, but in that cavernous room she felt very little of that sense’s embrace. Fear had her raising her hands in an effort to shield her eyes. She needed to see what she could not understand.
The Witch's Dragon
The odd quiet of winter blanketed the sleepy village of Yvoire. Their chimneys' plumbed with the smoke of banked fires as they, the chaperones, slumbered. The inky black tendrils of those smoldering coals coalescing into the pink, pregnant clouds that lay low in the night sky. Their thick heavy laden masses lazily availing themselves of large cotton swaths of Snow. The accumulation of these light balls on the fields below warded away sound and the creatures that made noise. All seemed cozy and quiet. All except for the house of Sauveterre.
The Frog Reich
I work in the car business. Every day I wake up and tell myself, “I have seen it all.” Then something else so illogically mind blowing comes my way and I realize the universe will always find things to throw my way. I was thrown for a loop just recently when I read a headline that blew my mind. I read a click bate headline on Facebook reading, “Experts alarmed by teen breeding millions of frogs for FROG ARMY”.
Chapter 1: The Merciful Scream Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. However, they weren’t passenger 6327, Magellanic Maffei, on interstellar flight 393 headed to the binary system M51-ULS-1. Magellanic heard the scream and was relieved. That traumatic call broke the monotony of his trip, so with gleeful rejoicing he went to investigate.
A Universe of Doubt
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. They say a lot of things, but they hadn’t been a part of the universe when it began. If they had they would be shocked by the sad state of things now. Although, I think they sense it.
The Ghost of a Zombie
I thought this was a brilliant concept and wish this had been a challenge subject. I pitched the idea on a few vocal pages when Mike Singleton from the True crime, Horror Story & Dark Poetry group on Facebook (Definitely join if you are interested in any of the above-mentioned subjects, they share some epic whoppers) goaded me into writing my version. Here it is! I hope you enjoy and if you want to make your own, share it with me on facebook or instagram! I would love to read ya'lls renditions!
Curse of the Dragon Scepter
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. They resided in the high mountain passes where natural and dwarf made tunnel systems acted as cozy homes for them. Humans didn’t know this, but dragons were primal beings that fed off of the flesh of the earth. Their main food source was gold and gems, not plants or living meat. The dwarfs, knowing this, mined these minerals to bribe the dragons into lighting their forges so that they could, in turn, manufacture the iron weapons used for trade and their own protection. This symbiotic relationship kept all content, so the dragons would never leave the mountain without cause. Princess Orillia had been that cause.
The Devil Said
This story is inspired by my grandmother, who died a few weeks ago. Don't worry she was resuscitated after a grueling 30 minutes or so. When she came too, she said she saw no bright lights at the end of a tunnel, nor did she see any of her family members welcoming her to the other side. This leads us to believe she might not be destined for heaven. I am not saying she is a terrible woman but sometimes....

She is Trying
Dear readers, this is the 4th installment of this series. If you are curious or confused, please read the pervious 3. Faith Penny took a hard gulp of Antique Weller from a square glass so full it could not accommodate ice. She winced at its harsh bite before settling into its smooth embrace. She had nowhere to be the next day. She had no tasks to fill her idleness. She was at peace, and that peace rankled at her.
