Taking Care of My Own
I caught Mama looking out the window again. She must have felt my gaze, because she turned and smiled. Her eyes told the truth though. Mama was worried. Worried sick. She pretended everything was fine while she finished up cooking my lunch.

"You are not my daughter!". Content Warning.
I am alone. I feel empty. My belly is in pain and rumbling. It’s been a long time since I have seen people. I look out the window and watch people and children on the playground outside. The children are so happy, running around and laughing. I remember my own children laughing like that. A girl, Annie, and a boy, Paul. Seems like some time ago. But how long? I don’t remember.

I saw it first when my inspired thoughts and my recent memory of the character I discovered in a book.I took a couple of my cans of paint out on a hot summer day. It felt so exhilerating. Oh, I was a rebl back then.

Let No Man Rend Asunder
When she walked into the door I just looked at her. My eyes full of confusion, hurt, anger. I couldn't believe she would betray me like that. Betray seven years of marriage, her oaths. Destroy our once cherished hopes and dreams..., our sacred bond. My soul cried out at me to scream, rant, rave. To lash out. To vent my pain and anguish on her. Yet I also wanted to tell her how much I loved her. How she had always been the center of my universe since the first time I had seen her standing in the moonlight on the edge of the river. This vision of loveliness which the very moon seemed to focus on.
