All Aboard. Top Story - September 2026.
Factor's words grate on my ears as he read out the next departure time. Their high, almost whining voice like roofing nails dragged across clean steel, sinking into my teeth. In spite of that, I don't dare remove my helmet and its integrated earpiece. I need to know how many elevators are left. I cannot be left behind.

Crawling
A spider crept into my mind like I’ve never seen a spider before. Haunting my body with its ticklish feet. All at once, bam it bit me. I thought to myself, “omg, am I gonna become black widow!”. The excitement stirred in me and I could feel the delusion sitting still in my head.

The Bus Ride
Riding the bus is not my favorite way to travel, but if you are like me, low on funds, do not own a car, or your destination is too far to walk or to trust your luck at hitchhiking, riding the bus is your next best choice. So, I chose the Greyhound and waited in a crowded station for an announcer to call my boarding number. I wanted to go to the bathroom but was afraid of missing my call over the loud noises, so I stayed in my seat.

Waiting...
Gork and Slarb, who had not yet become beloved among the Gitfangula – that happened much later and in a better story – were about to receive a very exciting assignment. The psychic projection hit them both in their neural feeds while they were trying to smuggle food objects over the border and pay back a former acquaintance. It sounded very urgent and possibly lucrative:

Telepathy and The Empire of Knowledge
I looked upward toward the stars. Using what I would name capability, I listened for those above the canopy of our beautiful sky. In the vision I am describing, there were transmissions and communications, one passing through another. And beyond them, an empire.

The Final Flight. Top Story - September 2026.
Genew no longer joined them in the Ritual. The Congregation gathered every night to worship the Light’s devilish glow, to honor its great and terrible power and pay respects to those who had been swallowed, but he alone remained, trembling fitfully in the garden. The ghostly memory of his first and last solemn night of worship haunted him. He could still feel the horrid buzz that hung in the air, that sick triumphant cackle that always followed a sacrifice. It had very nearly been him. He had flown too close, enthralled by the glow, drunk on the ecstasy of dipping a hair into the mouth of oblivion without losing his breath. Next to him flew a male he had never seen before. Both were laughing, sharing the sensations of this strange and holy ritual, until suddenly, they weren’t. One escaped by the hair of a wing while the other met the blackness on the other side. Stunned with horror, Genew tumbled to the ground, but only he abandoned the ritual. The other moths shivered collectively in prayer, and their dance grew more ecstatic.

One last time . Top Story - September 2026.
“Last call” I said warning everyone it was time to start the show. It was my first gig as a stage manager. I was so nervous I could feel my sweats palms hit the surface of my notes as I took a seat in the balcony. It was a sight to see, everyone sitting with anticipation on one of the most beautiful plays about Peter Pan and how he became the Pan we all know and love growing up.

Nothing To Lose Part 5
The office was quiet. Several of the investigators were at their desks. The only noises were the occasional sounds of phones ringing. Outside his office window, it was raining harder than Jonas had ever seen. He could barely see the squad cars parked in the open lot it came down so furiously. Sitting there, staring at the rain, he was deep in thought. He remembered the Great Flood of the 1990s, and similarities were there.
